Thats some beautiful country as well. Wish I still had pics of the lake house and how South West Michigan looks. Love it out there. I'm a country boy stuck in a concrete jungle. But I do have an acre in the city. My little piece of paradise

That was real new ink still is ... ummm I woulda been barefoot too... however that’s actually really high up on a rock ... not near the water ... yes this is near my back yard practically a trail called Otter Creek Trail in WV .... hiked 6miles in .... camped ... well worth the walk ... pack was heavy so been training with walking in the mornings carrying that pack with as much weight I can put in the thing

Packs aint nothing for me I use to do 5 to 25 mile hikes with anywhere from 35 to 100# packs in the Army. I was known as the company mule back in my day. If you cant carry your pack anymore give it to SGT Toups. He'll carry it. Lol

Stop teasing. I got 2 weeks of vacation left and nothing to stop me driving to West Virginia

I carried my daughters as well ... believe it or not .... I didn’t take the ol Bella girl next time I will ... cute puppy

I got time lol ... I’m on vacation too lol

The battery challenge... ummm if I put u in the freezer to come back to life ??? I think not ... but u never know

I do have four kayaks just saying lol...

I'm all geared up, but I'll leave the kayak at home. I ditched the tent camping about 8 or 9 years ago. Strictly hammocks and rainflys now. Have you ever tried hammock camping stacy?

It's only 12 hours to Bowden from my house. Totally doable.

My neck of the woods lol .... primitive trail only marked with rock cairns ... many river crossings ... with established camping sites ... it was a rough wet hike literally a creek bed ... but well worth it ... we where like the “croods” walking through the woods ...

Looks like she knows what she's doing...My daughter would be lost

I had the 4x4 keys .... they had no choice it was a long walk ... no one leaves the grocery bag behind ... lol

Nah I’ve been real driven in getting her outside .. I mean we live on a farm but ... I’m so sick of the technology zombie phases ... wasn’t how I grew up ... everyday outside no matter what the weather was like ... there was always something to do

I am the same way but my wife is afraid of every bug alive, and therefore will run if she sees a moth. Lol

Besides that was only one bag I had another one also ... I mean I went in just too eat lol... as much food I packed I wouldn’t have been able to dig a hole that big...

Let me just be real here a min... so my sister had all this fancy fancy hiking gear... right 650.00 dollar tarp tent ... fitted pack etc... well I had to sh*t right... she hands me a shovel the length of my hand made from aluminum to dig a “cat hole” so to speak ... first and foremost may I first explain I had to eat all the meatballs from everyone’s spaghetti os the entire evening ... apparently I’m like “Mikey” and here I am sent out to the woods with a spoon so too speak...

Couldn’t dig a hole for nothing with that crap ... and let’s just say when I walked outta there a puma couldn’t have dug a big enough hole anyways ... I wouldn’t have never got the hole big enough for the food bags ...

Being real lol

It's called a Entrenching tool. I have used it a ton of times. And we dug a 6 foot deep x 4 foot wide x 12 foot long trench with it so it is possible. Then we put 8 pvc pipes in it and filled it with gravel and covered the top of the pipes with chicken wire. I think you understand what that was for

Why would she spend that much... i got all my old Army gear. I dont have to spend on any of it. Lol

She’s fancy ... I’m like a wing it kind of individual ...
To fancy for me...Give me a sleeping bag, a half shelter, and I'm good to go...put up the half shelter, put down your sleeping bag, climb in, get naked. Throw boots and, Clothes in bottom of sleeping bag, and use pack as a pillow...GTG
