TRT is so much more than total/free testosterone and estradiol, it’s about balancing the other hormones that make up the endocrine system.

DHEA and pregnenolone are examples that one can use OTC supplements to alter blood levels.

Up to now I’ve been using capsules of both DHEA and pregnenolone. Bloodwork levels still show low even with increasing dosage to 50 mg DHEA and 25 mg pregnenolone daily.

As a test, I’m stopping my capsule supplements and switching to Iconic Formulation’s Neuro DHEA and Neuro P5 transdermals. I’ll run these until I’m out at 0.5 ml per day. After, I’ll post another round of bloodwork to see how effective they were.

Yesterday: the bottles don’t have the amount of hormone per ml so I had to look it up on the website.

IMG_5142.JPG

Website:
IMG_5144.JPG

Showered, dried off then applied 0.5 ml (glass eye dropper has volume marks on them to make this easy to measure) of each and massaged it in to chest and clavicle area. This amounts to 50 mg DHEA and 12.5 mg pregnenolone.

The transdermal liquid absorbed quickly and the smell was mild. The skin wasn’t sticky afterwards.

As the day went on, the smell was there but not offensive or overwhelming.

At 58 I’ve been on TRT for almost 4 years and it’s been the best thing that happened in my life, for health and well-being.

But TRT is so much more than total/free testosterone and estradiol, it’s about balancing the other hormones that make up the endocrine system.

I don't know man. the jury is still out on health. Did you actually have low test to begin with? I think its far more healthy to have your natural endocrine system functioning normally. Did you damage your self doing steroids or did you naturally have low test?

I tried cycling on off test for a short period and thought about dokng the trt route but I couldn't see myself doing it for the rest of my life. I admit that it makes you feel like a million bucks most of the time but I think its far better for your overall health to have you endocrine system functioning without therapy. This of course is my own opinion.

Diagnosed as secondary hypogonadal. All natural up to 4 years ago when I requested a total testosterone test as part of a normal physical. Level was 212 and free test of 2.

TRT has been a life saver. I’m an engineer and thought I had early onset Alzheimer’s. I was actually considering early retirement! 4 years later and my life and health is fantastic! Thanks for the concern but TRT was and is my best solution.

If you do a doctor recommended dose which is usually 100-200 mgs a week of test cyp, it’s pretty safe as long as you keep an eye on your blood work. I’m on TRT for the past 6 months at 200 and I went from 260 to 907 and feel much better but I’m still lacking in some things because my free test isn’t that great so it’s binding somewhere. I started taking BLR letrone to undue binding with estrogen receptors and viron to lower SHBG....now I’m on transdermal DHEA and that seems to be the magic for me. So what I’m saying is, get educated about it and learn as you go...feel your body and how it responds, some go hardcore into it without knowing anything.

What transdermal DHEA are you using?

Nice Sorry I didn't mean for you personally I just meant the safety in general. Obviously TRT and blast and cruise is 2 diffrent things but I kinda put them together because I think that's what I would have done had I stayed on. Also I'm only 40 and I think I have normal test levels so I'm looking at it from a totally different perspective.

I don't doubt its a life saver for you but do you worry about any potential side effects? Especially after like the 10 year mark? I haven't ruled trt out for myself I'm still always researching. It's just I see a lot of guys in the gym that have abused juice for years and are on trt or whatever and they don't even look very good, I can't help but feel that they, so therefor me would be better off without it.

I should add I'm planning on using a good 1ad 4ad cycle once in a while down the road so I'm far from trying to be holier than thou. Ive done things in my 40 years that would make a rock star cringe

Testosterone Replacement Therapy Discussion and Advanced Testosterone Wisdom is run by Nelson Vergel that owns ExcelMale.

Entourage Testosterone Patients is run by Entourage Medical.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy Community is independent of either.

Still applying 0.5 ml of each compound on the chest and clavicle area daily, after showering and completely drying off.

Absorption occurs a few minutes after massaging the clear liquid evenly over the skin.

No adverse effects at all.

The quality key with transdermals, for me, is to see if my skin tolerates them repeatedly in the same locations without rotation.

Rotation of sites isn’t that hard, but it’s nice to just slap it on your shoulders/neck every day. Ain’t nobody wanna bend over to the tops of their feet first thing in the morning!

Agree. I’m applying to the same area daily and keeping an eye out for skin issues. So far, so good.

Salvo has been pretty tried and true for skin issues, but this can be different for people with sensitive skin.

the other nice part, the small dosing required for these products. .5ml does not cover a very large area...also makes it extremely easy to rotate shoulders.

Interesting. Others have mentioned this as well.

I shower, dry off completely then apply the transdermals. Works great with no residue.

I’ve been using DHEA and pregnenolone capsules for years. DHEA gives me noticeably higher energy and pregnenolone calms me.

if you are like me you will find transdermals much more effective than oral!!!

not something you have to do, but I find preg on temples and a little dhea on testacles[balls] works pretty well!!!

I’m hoping that these transdermals trump my capsules. Bloodwork shows the capsules simply are not raising levels to optimal.

Will have to try those suggestions.

When it comes to natural testboosters, I have not seen much with most. There are a few that will give a certain boost, but having the right formula makes a huge difference.

Not after testosterone booster as I’m on TRT. I’m after raising DHEA and pregnenolone to optimal levels using transdermal compounds versus oral capsules.

Trying to be as objective as possible but noticed a few things lately:

1) Muscle hardening in the Chest and Delt area where I apply the transdermal.
2) Libido is up as I’m chasing the wife more often.
3) Blood pressure is down (117/67)

Interesting.

Lol, 58 brother! Injections are the only way to go.

Never experienced any bloat from DHEA or pregnenolone orals. I bloat on eggs, whey, dairy, over 100 g carbs though.

Low carb. Nothing over 100 g per day.
Awesome. I’ve been reading a lot over there at excelmale (TRT-specific forums) and it seems Nelson is really an advocate of a low carb diet for hormone replacement patients. Gonna look more into it.
