It's a new item on a manufacturers website. PES Select is currently $70 on their website, doesn't mean that's what everybody is paying for it. But I'm assuming you already realize that and you just want to rant again.

They run high prices so they can run discounts and still keep profits.
 
Maybe they run high prices so they can get indirect advertising through threads like this?
