Is Testosterone a cognitive Enhancer?

Ive been reading a lot on how testosterone has helped lift brain fog, helped with memory, motivation, and focus, while also combating anxiety and depression.
there is a relationship between dopamine and IQ, and testosterone boosts dopamine. so it has me wondering, does testosterone increase cognitive function and work as a nootropic?
if so, why is there this stereotype that high testosterone = dumb and reckless?
when I was on 200 mg of testosterone a week I felt no anxiety/depression. tons of energy, motivation, confidence. my sentences came out very smoothly and didnt need to grasp for adjectives. I also could function easily on little sleep.

Yes, it can increase cognition, accelerate your bodies rate of regeneration, and even allow you to run on less sleep than was previously needed. That’s why so many people use the stuff ;)

I’ve been on test for about a year now and what yates84 stated is spot on! Test is a game changer!

I don’t understand the technical aspects of this to anywhere near the level of yates84 and many others on here but just from what I’ve seen the impact of testosterone (more specifically the impact of preventing/reversing the decline we naturally experience from 30) is being linked quite clearly to a whole host of benefits, it seems (to me anyway) as though this is getting fairly close to becoming mainstream information.

I have a feeling that many of those on antidepressants would benefit from TRT, or some sort of hormone maintenance. but docs never think of checking hormone levels aside from Thyroid
