1 1/2 rep squats

Has anyone done 1 1/2 rep squats for a significant amount of time and did you get results?

I haven't but I personally wouldn't use 1 1/2 reps for something like squats. My sticking point is coming out of the hole, so I'd rather do full squats and then box squats to help with the bottom portion.
In my opinion, 1 1/2 squats don't help as much as something like 1 1/2 lat arm raises. I'd save my energy for deadlifts, leg raises, bulg split squat, or something else that'd have more carryover than a half rep squat.

I LOVE half repping squats. Keeps the muscle under tension the entire set. I like doing these at the end of my workout for a few “burn” sets.

I once did 400lb squats for pumping sets (ROM was between parallel and a couple inches shy of lockout) of 20+ reps a set. The gains I made on my full olympic squat despite having not done them for a period of time were far better than than I'd been making with full rep training. Most likely because I'd never trained with heavy partials at the time and it was a very new stimulus causing a strong growth response.

Well, looks like I have something new to try! What are your guys’ thoughts on squats everyday but with different variables each time?
