Hi guys

So first off thanks to Performax and R1balla for giving me the chance to run this
Capture.JPG

So i've recently decided to switch to training in the mornings because of work and i'm also changing to training fasted, where in the past i would always have a shake and some fruit before working out. The idea with this is to lose a bit of fat. That's one of the things that makes me excited about this product with the added protein, to see what this does when training fasted. I've been running glycofuse and bcaa's and monohydrate as my intra for a while now and i'm pretty happy with how it goes, but it will be great to see how this stacks up against that.

My training split is as follows:
Chest
Back
Legs
Arms
Shoulders
Sometimes work will push me to combine some of these days, but i'll always do at least 4 workouts a week. I like doing a split between compound and isolation exercises and change volumes as i feel on that particular day. Some exercises will have low volumes where others will go higher again. I like throwing in a lot of supersets and trying new combinations. I've changed my training to be a bit more instinctive nowadays whereas in the past i got stuck in a program.

My expectation for this product is to see some strength increase, to be honest even if my strength now stays the same due to not eating before working out, I'll consider that to be a win. Also looking to decrease recovery times, not having a sore chest for 3 days or not being able to take the stairs after leg day will be great. I'm hoping that this helps lean me out just a bit.

Day 1

So today was back day, didn't really feel like working out this week. I'll be honest the first week of training in the morning is tough, but i know you just have to push through the first week then it's all good.

This product mixes really easily, it's a bit frothy after making it in a shaker cup, but the froth disappears pretty quickly. I've had other BCCA products where the froth just stays there forever and it's not great when you have that intra workout. i've got the Orange dream flavor, it has kind of a chalky taste/texture, this is something i've had before with some intra workouts that contained waxy maize and bcaa's, but i kind of like it. It's not overly sweet, like the glycofuse/xtend combo i normally use, which is also a nice change. All in all, i feel the taste is pretty good and it goes down well during your workout.

Since i wasn't feeling super strong when i walked in the gym, i didn't go for any compounds today, but here's what i did:
Plate loaded lat pull down: 2 warmups, 15 reps@180, 12@230, 8@270, then drop set of 5@270, 5@180, 5@90
Machine lat pull down: 4 set of 14 at 100, 120, 140, 160
One arm machine row: 12@45, 8@70, 6@90 and drop set starting at 90,45
Close grip pull down: 4 sets of 15 at 140
Seated rows: i do a two in one on this, where i'll row 8 reps for lower back and then 8 rows a bit higher to hit my upper lats and trap, 4 sets of 16 reps at 100

These weights were pretty much where i was before changing my training times and changing to fasted training and hasn't really dropped since i came off an alphamax/x gels run, so I'm happy, this is a good start i feel, so hopefully we can push on from here.

Day 2

Today was leg day, I'm going to be honest I've been skipping leg day for the last two years now, my training hasn't been all that consistent over the last two years since i moved to the US and went through some other stuff and i always find it easy to find an excuse not to train legs.

I again stuck to training fasted. I've seen that some of the other loggers are also talking about how frothy the product is, i mix it in 25oz shaker and generally only use 20oz of water, so the froth disappears pretty quickly. The taste is growing on me, i really like that it's not too sweet.

On to workout, since this is only my third leg workout in a while, my weights are really low, so don't laugh too much. I started with two warmup sets on squats, then then 2 sets of 12@135, 10 reps@155, 8 reps@175 and 4 reps@185. Leg press then for 2 sets of 15 at 225, 1 set of 15 at 315, 1 set of 6@405. Then 4 sets of 20@100 for leg extensions. Lying leg curls 4 sets of 15 reps pyramiding up from 100. Seated calf raises with 2 sets with one plate and 2 sets with 2 45lb plates, all four at 18 reps with 6 reps with your feet facing forward straight, 6 reps with your heels pointing out and 6 reps with your heels pointing inwards.

So this week my squat went up from 175 to 185 and leg press went up from 315 to 405. I think some of this can be contributed to powermax, as i could feel the energy to push through on the higher weight (note i didn't take a pre with this). One thing that i can say is that as i'm writing this a bit after my workout and my legs feel pretty good, there's some stiffness, but not nearly as bad as it was last week, so i think i can contribute that to the powermax, which was one of the things i was looking for.

So, so far so good for this run, excited to see how it goes in the next few weeks

Day 3

This workout was on Friday, sorry for the late post, but spent the whole Saturday and Sunday on the plane and on the road.

This was a shoulder day and was the first day i took a pre workout with this as well. I currently use Mesomorph and was excited to see ow the two combined. Here's the workout:

Dumbbell shoulder press: 2 warmups of 15 reps at 55, then pyramid up 65,70,75,80 and a double drop on the last set. all were 5 rep sets
Cable side laterals, 4 sets of 15 reps, 2 sets at 7.5, then 2 at 15
Dumbbell front raise 4 sets of 12 reps each, 50, 55, 60, 65
Rear delt fly machine, 4 sets of 15 reps, pyramiding up from 70, 80, 90, 100
Rear delt cable cross over, 4 sets of 15 reps at 10 a side
Smith Machine shrugs, 4 sets of 8 reps, 225, 315, 315 and 405

Overall, i don't think the pre workout and powermax compliment each other. I am a bit disappointed in mesomorph, but that's a story for another day. I decided to stay off pre workouts for the duration of this run now. Overall the recovery from this workout was good, i had a really good pump in my shoulders and veins coming out as well, which to me is always a good sign. So far I'm really happy with this product.

This week i'm working out in a hotel, so i'll have less workouts, but higher volumes, so let's see how it goes.

Where did you move to the states from?

HyperMax XT (stim) or VasoMax (non stim) both work very well with Powermax XT.

I moved here from South Africa in 2015, love it here so far.

I'll give meso the benefit of the doubt for now, i tried a bunch of different pre workouts after an expo, so maybe that messed me up a bit. So gonna give it a 4 week break, and then see how it goes after that. I mean everybody loves it, so there has to be something to it. But i'll give hyper or vaso a try in the near future

Yeah man there's so much stuff i've seen and done that i wouldn't get the chance to do if i didn't move here, so it's definitely worth it

Day 4

Sorry for only posting now, but i've been travelling this week. Tonight was a hotel chest workout, i only have dumbbells up to 50lb, so you've got to make the best of it.

My workout was:
3 sets of 21 reps dumbbell press, where i do 7 reps at about a 60 degree angle, 7 reps at 30 degrees and 7 reps flat bench with 50lb dumbbells.
3 sets of 21 reps dumbbell flyes, same scheme as above with 30lb dumbbells
4 sets of close grip dumbbell presses with 50lb, i like this exercise as it helps to bring out your inner chest. I've been getting up to 65lb on this, but as i said, you gotta make do with what you have in a hotel.
After each of these exercises i would do a set of pushups to failure, mostly i could reach 15 reps.
Also did about 10minutes on the eliptical machine and about 30 crunches.

With the volume being a bit higher, i got a really good pump, but i do think this product helps to get bigger pumps as well. I got through all the exercises really easy and even the cardio went pretty well, and that shows the product coming through, since i don't do a lot of cardio.

Overall, i'm really happy with the product. In my opinion this works a lot better than a lot of pre workouts out there.

Glad PowerMax XT is treating you well. The pump is a nice added bonus of the hydration aspect. You said it treats you better than some of your pre workouts.. Since PowerMax XT is an Intra product, feel free to use your preworkout first, then PowerMax XT intra at the gym.

I still use this as an intra workout, i just mean that in future I'll probably save money and rather just use this than adding in pre workouts as well. I don't know why, but it just seems that most pre workouts don't work for me. I mean everybody loves mesomorph and i don't feel anything, except he beta alanine face burn. The only recent pre's that i've liked were Total war and the new muscle marinade

Day 5

This was Friday's workout. I just did an arm workout, it's one thing you can do pretty well at a hotel gym.

Workout:
2 warm up sets of dumbbell curls, 16 reps at 25, 30lb
4 sets dumbbell curls, 16 reps doing 40, 45 and 2 sets of 50lb
4 sets of Hammer curls, 16 reps at 50lb
4 sets concentration curls, 8 reps at 40lb
3 sets of 15 standing dumbbell tricep extension with 15lb
4 sets of dummbell skull crushers, 15 reps, going from 20, 25, 25 and 30lb
4 sets of bench dips to failure (around 20 reps), super setted with diamond push ups to failure (around 6 reps)

I hadn't done a proper arm workout in a while and even though the weights weren't that heavy, i still think it was a pretty intense workout, i tried to do the workout with minimal rest to make up for the lack of weight. I felt really good during the workout and i could really push through on the hammer curls and dumbbell curls, and i really feel that if i had heavier weights, i could go up easily. I think a lot of this has to do with the powermax, i'm still training fasted and don't seem to have any energy issues at all.

This week I'm back at a proper gym in Anchorage for last week in Alaska, so this week's updates will be a bit better and i think will give a real indication of how i'm doing with this product

Day 6

Ok so this week I'm back in Anchorage for the week and could go workout at Southside Strength and Fitness. If you ever find yourself in Anchorage, i'd recommend checking it out.

I missed international chest day on monday, so had to chest yesterday. For this week i'm not training in the morning since i'm working out with a colleague. I'm still basically training fasted, since my last meal is lunch and i workout around 6 or 7. I'll be honest my eating in the last two weeks hs been pretty bad.

So to the workout, this was a chest and tri's workout:
2 warmup sets of cable crossovers with the pulleys at the bottom
5 sets of incline dumbbell press, 12 x 50, 12 x 60, 10 x 70, 8 x 75, 6 x 80
4 set of hammer strength incline press, 12 x 135, 10 x 185, 8 x 225, 5 x 275
3 sets of dips to failure
4 sets of cable crossover, pulleys at high, 15 reps
4 sets of 15 v bar tricep push downs at 40lbs
4 sets of skull crushers and close grip bench presses 15 reps for each at 55lb

i have a bit of wrist and shoulder pain that's keeping me back a bit now, but overall the workout felt so good, i just feel like i can really push through workouts and after finishing a set i feel like adding more weight and doing more sets. after every exercise my colleague was like, can we just finish now? i 100% put this down to powermax, i mean normally when i don't eat before working out i just feel flat and tired and even last night i wasn't really super amped before leaving for gym, but as soon as i started working out, i felt great, so good job here Performax labs!

Day 7

Did some back today. As a change, i mixed the product with some blue gatorade, just to see if it makes a difference having it with carbs. I have to say the taste was really good, also i think the foaming was a bit less when mixed with gatorade.

My workout:
4 sets of pullups, 12, 6, 6, 6. It's one of those exercises where i start off strong and then struggle to get reps as i go on.
4 sets of barbell rows: 12 at 135, 12 at 175, 8 at 225 and 5 at 275
4 sets of deadlifts, 10 at 135, 10 at 225, 5 at 315 and 5 at 335. 335 is probably the most i've done in a while, for the last few months i've rarely been able to even get to 315
4 sets of machine rows, 12 at 140, 12 at 160, 12 at 180, 8 at 200 and 6 at 220. 220 was the highest i've ever gone and this was basically at the end of
my workout.
4 sets of lat pull downs, 15 reps at 120, i would do the first 10 at a normal tempo and then the last 5, i would hold the contraction for a few seconds

i was really happy with this workout, didn't train back last week and still managed to increase weight and reps. I think the product mixes really well with gatorade, so that might be something other users want to try. Once I'm back home i'll try and mix it with glycofuse to see what it does. The energy on this product is really good. it just keeps getting better the more i use it. i have to say this morning when i woke up my body felt really beat up, but i think that's more down to two big workouts in a row. I don't think this is a reflection of the product not helping with recovery. I think the main difference for me between my old intra of glycofuse and bcaa's, is that this gives me energy and allows me to train harder, which i've never really felt with my old combo. Overall, i'm very happy and i'm sure anyone else who tries this won't be disappointed.

Day 8

Today was leg day. I felt so beat up from the previous day, my whole body was just hurt, so my motivation to do legs wasn't that great. Took the powermax again with some gatorade, really like this combination now.

My workout:
1 set of warm up squats, 15 reps at 95lb
4 sets of squats, 10 at 135, 10 at 135, 5 at 175 and 5 more at 175
4 sets of leg press, 15 reps at 200lbs (this is the first gym i've ever been to with 100lb plates)
4 seats of seated calf raises, 15 reps, two sets at 45lb, 2 sets at 70
4 sets lying leg curls, 15 reps at 80, 100, 120, then back to 80

My squat went down a bit from my last leg workout, but i just haven't felt this bad after a workout for a while. I will say during the workout, my motivation came back, wanted to train hard, but i just didn't have anything in the tank, i will put that down to powermax. As i'm writing this, my legs feel ok, so I think that's the powermax helping out with recovery a bit.

Taking today off as i'm flying back to Dallas tonight, have a stop over in LA, so might do a quick workout at Golds.

Day 9

I just did a quick shoulder workout Gold's in Venice on my way back to Dallas. This is a great gym, but man it's busy. I hadn't really had breakfast and spent the night on the plane and walked a lot, so wasn't really super ready for the workout.

2 sets warmup dumbbell shoulder press at 50lb
4 sets of dumbbell shoulder presses at 65lb for 10 reps
4 sets shoulder press machine 45lb plate a side for 15 reps
4 sets superset of dumbbell side later and front raises, each 12 reps, i got up to 55lb for the side laterals which was the most i've done for a while.
2 sets running the rack of hammer curls, 65lb, 50lb, 35lb, 8 reps for each weight

I was really struggling with the presses, but i felt some energy and drive kick in with that side lateral super set as well as with the hammers. i ran the powermax solo today, no gatorade or carbs.

Day 10

Today was my first day back in my old gym for a while, had a really bad weekend sleeping and eating wise, haven't slept more than 5 hours a night and hardly ate anything, and the bit that i ate over the weekend was total junk. I also woke not feeling very fresh, lots of coughing, i feel i might be allergic to something, every time i get back home i feel pretty bad.

Still i felt pretty motivated to workout.

2 warm up sets of sitting cable crossovers
4 sets machine chest press, 135 for 15 reps, 175 for 15, then two sets of 225 for 12 reps each
4 sets of decline bench, couldn't go over 175, just felt totally blasted and out of it
2 supersets dumbbell incline bench press with incline close grip dumbbell press, with 65lb and 40lb respectively, could do 10 reps each, but just felt completely nowhere, so i stopped after 4
4 sets cable crossovers, holding the contraction at the end of the reps
2 sets machine flyes, again i just didnt feel like working out so just wanted to get out.

I mixed powermax with glycofuse, the glycofuse makes it very sweet, so not sure if i'm a fan of this combo. All in all, i can't say anything bad about the powermax, i just felt completely flat and out of it. Hopefully some better food today and more sleep will pick me up tomorrow.

Day 11

Sorry for not posting on the product last week, i just had a really bad flu/cold and didn't train the rest of the week. Last night was my first workout back, still didn't feel 100% healthy, but it was close enough and felt i needed a workout.

Being Monday, it was chest day again
2 sets decline bench of 15 reps at 135, 10 reps at 185 and 5 reps at 225. I was happy to be able to do 225, it's lower than what it used to be, but considering i wasn't feeling to good, i'm happy with that
4 sets of cable cross overs, 25, 30, 35, 42.5lb a side, 15 reps each set
2 sets incline bench at 135 for 10 reps each, 1 set at 155 for 5 reps, 1 set at 135 for 5 reps, by this time my chest was pretty much toast
4 sets machine fly, got up to 180lb, all sets at 12 reps
Then i just threw in 4 sets of rope tricep pulldowns for fun

All in all not the biggest workout, but got a decent pump and at least this morning my chest is pretty tight, so i know it was a pretty good workout. I wasn't really feeling like working out, even thought i wanted to go, but again the powermax pulled me through. i really like the energy you get out of this product during your workouts.

Glad you are feeling better. People at my work have been super sick already this year. Seems early. I'd look into Gut Health Ultimate by Evomuse. It's a great probiotic product.

No i agree, it's only October and our weather is still so good, but i think the change from Alaska to Dallas caught me out, i kind of expected it and took my multivitamins, but i still got hit pretty badly

Day 12

This was a back day. Again i felt super flat at work today, could hardly keep my eyes open, so my motivation wasn't too high to workout. I would say, the one good thing about logging is it does force you to workout! I thought i'd take some mesomorph today as i was feeling pretty tired, and it turned out to be a good call, i was off pre workouts for a few weeks now, and it seems to have worked.

2 sets warmup lat pull downs at 100lb, then 4 sets of 10 at 120, 140, 160, 160
4 sets of 15 reps a side, single arm lat pull downs, i really like this exercise since you can really feel the contraction in your lats from this. I wasn't feeling too strong, so no pullups today.
4 sets vbar lat pull downs 12 reps, at 160, 160, 180, 180
then i did 3 sets of what i call the devil's drop set, it's something i saw on an antoine vaillant video, you do 6 reps deadlifts, followed by 6 reps barbell rows followed by 6 reps shrugs. I started at 135, up to 185 then up to 225. I could feel i had some more in the tank here, but i'm not pushing too hard this week as i'm not 100% over my cold/flu
4 sets of preacher curls, narrow grip at 60lb, 2 sets were normal rep tempos, 1 set very slow negatives and 1 set quick tempo, all 4 sets were 12 reps
2 sets running the rack hammer curls, 6 reps at 50lb, 6 reps at 40lb and 6 reps at 30lb

All in all, it turned out to be a good workout, i had to adapt some of my exercises because the gym was so crowded, but from how i felt before the workout, i would say this was a success. I'm still really happy with this product, i mean the energy from this is really good and the pumps are pretty good too, i mean the whole day yesterday my chest still felt pumped from the night before. I would really encourage anybody to get in on this product, even if you have to pay full price, just get it

Day 13

My favorite day of the week, leg day..jokes..I've never seen so many people doing leg day, so i had to improvise a bit for this workout.

2 warm up sets of leg extensions at 40lb, 15 reps
4 sets of leg extensions, 70, 80, 90, 100lb, 12 reps each set
4 sets hack squat, one plate a side, 10 reps. I know the weights i do on leg day is pretty laughable, but i'm just trying to get my legs going after not training them for so long.
4 sets of squats at 135lb. i was really hoping of going a bit heavier, but at this stage my legs were pretty fried.
4 sets seated calf raises, 2@45lb, 2@70lb, all sets 15 reps

I've been running powermax solo the whole week, so no mixing with glycofuse or gatorade, i might start doing that again next week. next week will be back to morning workouts as well, that will make the crowds at gym easier to handle too. I was pretty happy with the workout, like i said the weights are pretty low, but i'm getting there. I could hardly walk last night after working out and this morning i feel a bit better, so the recovery aspect of the powermax is working pretty well i think. Also, when i started doing squats last night, my legs immediately felt pretty wobbly, yet i could still push through, so in the energy department this product really shines for me.

Day 14

I didn't get to workout since Wednesday of last week, the last few days were kind of busy at work and i had family coming to town as well. So yesterday was my first day back in a while. Also didn't sleep a lot in the last week and my eating wasn't all that great either. Still i was pretty amped to workout. I decided to mix the powermax with glycofuse again, to give myself some carbs as well. Being monday, i had to train chest

2 warm up sets on the chest fly machine, 15 reps each, 70, 90lbs
4 sets decline bench, 2 sets of 135 for 15 reps, 1 set at 155 for 10, 1 set at 185 for 8, 1 set at 205 for 5 reps. I quickly realized this wasn't going to be a good workout, just felt flat with no energy and no power
4 sets incline bench at 135lb, 10 reps each
3 sets close grip dumbbell press, 12 reps, 40, 45, 47.5lb
4 sets of 15 cable cross overs with pulleys set to the low position
3 sets pec deck machine, 15 reps
3 sets of 10 hanging leg raises

All in all, this was a pretty bad workout, all the weights dropped from last week, just did not have any energy. Was probably the first time that powermax didn't pull me through, but in all honesty, if you eat bad for a few days and don't sleep, this is the end result. you can't blame this on the supplement. still i always feel any workout is better than no workout, so let's hope the rest of the week goes better.

Day 15

I did a quick arm workout today. To change things up, i did an antagonistic workout, supersetting bi's and tri's on every set.

4 sets tricep rope pushdowns supersetted with 4 sets rope hammer curls for 15 reps each.
4 sets close grip barbell rows supersetted with 4 sets dumbbell skull crushers, 15 reps each
3 sets dumbbell curls supersetted with rope tricep overhead extensions, 15 reps each
3 sets concentration curls, supersetted with bar tricep push downs, 15 reps each

I again mixed powermax with glycofuse so i could have some carbs as well. Energy was a bit better than yesterday and had a good pump, so things are feeling a bit more back to normal. I will say training fasted is getting to me, i'm not really enjoying it anymore, i feel really flat. Recovery has been ok, i've got a bit of stiffness in my triceps, but nothing too crazy, so that's a plus for powermax

Yeah everything was fine training fasted, just this week it's been really downhill and i just feel zero energy and no motivation to workout. I think it might be due to a lack of sleep, work's been busy and i've had a ton of other stuff do, so maybe i've been sleeping 5 or 6 hours a night, that doesn't help i guess.

but yeah, nothing wrong with a good pump, i'll never train just to get a pump, but to me it always feels like a pump is a sign that your workout was pretty solid! I honestly feel that's one of the big positives on this product, i haven't really been reading the other loggers reviews, so i don't know if they've had a similar effect, but i've been getting better pumps from this than most pre's. and it's almost like you get an extended pump, like a day after working out arms, my arms are still pumped

Day 16
This was a back day. I again took powermax with glycofuse. I'll probably buy some gatorade at some point, because i like that combo a bit better. This wasn't the biggest back workout ever, i mostly used machines and was aiming for reps rather than moving big weight.

Plate loaded lat pull down: 2 warm up sets with 45lb a side. 4 working sets of 12 reps, 140lb, 180lb, 230lb, 230lb. My best here is between 270lb and 320, so i was a bit down on weight, but overall not too bad.
Pulley lat pull down machine. I really like this exercise as you can get a good squeeze in your lats. 4 sets of 15 reps, 60lb, 70lb, 80lb, 80lb a side. Again this is nowhere near a PR, but i haven't done this for a while.
Machine rows, 4 sets with 100lb, i would do 8 reps to target my lower lats and 8 reps for upper lats.
T bar rows, 4 sets with 3 plates. I've gone as high as 6 plates this year, but i was doing 15 reps per set today.
4 sets of 15 hanging leg raises. I'm trying to some abs every day and will try and up the exercises and reps every day.

This was a pretty short workout, but pretty effective i feel. I didn't do any lower back work, but i ran out of time. Overall energy levels felt a bit better. Also, my energy picks up as i go along. I've started drinking the powermax as i drive to gym, this seems to help, especially when you go train fasted first thing in the morning. I felt the product gave me good energy, higher reps normally get me pretty tired, but i pushed through pretty well.

Day 17

I took a day off of training and went again this morning. Did not sleep well at all, but felt pretty amped for a workout. Took a scoop of mesomorph to see if that would give me something extra. Trained shoulders today, which is one of my favorite days.

2 warmup sets smith machine shoulder press, 45lb a side for 15 reps
4 sets smith machine shoulder press, 45lb a side, 50lb a side, 55lb a side, 70 a side, could get 12 reps on each, except on the last, but i did a drop set to get to my reps.
4 sets arnold press with ez bar with dumbbell front raises. started with a 50lb fixed bar, did another with the 50, then 70, 90 all at 12 reps and kept doing 35lb dumbbells for the front raises right through, i was shooting for 10-12 reps each set here too. Around this time i really felt in the mood for a workout, so i did a bonus set of arnold presses with 100lb
3 sets of side laterals on the cable cross machine, 15 reps. By now i could feel my shoulders were fried, but i still wanted to push
4 supersets rear delt machine with reverse cable cross overs (don't know what else to call these), each set on the rear delt fly was at 100lb for 12 reps, then i did 10 reps for the cross overs
4 sets barbell shrugs, 225 (12), 315(10), 405(10), 465(8).

This was a really good workout, one of the better ones i've had in the last few weeks. I take back the negative stuff i said about meso, i think it really worked today. i think my stim break worked, and i think these two products work well together. the meso gives you a kick and powermax gives you the energy to just keep going. it felt like the workouts i used to have on jack3d, where you just want to keep training and keep pushing, so i was really happy today, especially considering how the rest of my week was.

Day 18

Sorry for not posting anything in a while, i've been sick for a few weeks, thought it was a cold or a flu again, but felt really bad, turned out it was bronchitis. Was a lot of fun...

So this workout was actually at the beginning of last week. Went for a quick chest workout.

4 sets barbell decline, 2 sets at 135, 2 sets at 185 all for 10 reps
4 sets incline barbell press, 12 reps at 135
4 sets cable crossovers for 15 reps each
4 sets pec deck for 15 reps

This was not a big workout at all, i was just trying to get back to working out a bit. All in all, the last month or so has been really ****ty for working out, i've been travelling, eating pretty bad and sick all the time. I'm hoping everything clears up for now.

All in all, i didn't feel much from the product, it was such a mild workout and i wasn't pushing myself. The only think i would say is that recovery was still pretty, even though i hadn't been training for a while, i wasn't hurting too much.

Day 19

So the above workout was at the beginning of last week. I had to take off a few more days as work was just going crazy. I've just been noticing that my chest has started looking pretty bad and small from not training the last month or so, so i've decided to try something new for chest. I'm going to train chest twice a week, the first day just basically being a pump day, so doing fly type movements for 15 reps or more, then the next day being a power day with presses for lower reps.

4 sets cable crossovers for 15 to 20 reps.
4 sets incline flyes with 30 lbs for 10 reps (superset with below)
4 sets decline flyes with 30lbs for 10 reps
4 sets cable cross overs with pulleys on bottom position, bringing the weight up to just below chest level for 5, up to chest level for 5 and up to head height for 5 reps.

I got a pretty good pump from this workout and today my chest has felt pretty tight, so we'll see how the presses go tonight.

i'm back to taking powermax on its own, like always this product delivers the pumps. even though my chest was pretty flat, it wasn't flat after this. Today my chest is pretty tight, but the recovery seems pretty good, considering i was really focussed on holding contractions and working my chest.

Day 20

This was my follow up "pressing" chest day. I'm now taking powermax solo, not with glycofuse anymore. For this workout i took mesomorph pre as well.

The workout:
4 sets incline barbell press, 135, 135, 155, 185. I wasn't looking for reps, as this is more of a power day, but got up to 8 reps on the first 3 sets and 3 on my last set.
4 sets hammer strength decline press, 185, 225, 225, 275, got to 8 reps on all 4 sets here.
4 sets incline dumbbell press, 50(12 reps), 65(10 reps), 75(8 reps), 75(6 reps).
4 sets incline close grip dumbbell press, 40, 45, 50, all for 10 reps. by this time my chest was toast, so i called it a day.

I didn't really realize that all in all, i hadn't really been training for 4 weeks, so i was pretty happy with my workout. There was a bit of tightness in my chest from the day before, but we got around that. I had really good energy in this workout, just felt really good all the way through it. With this product, you just want to train more and more. I think that's what i would call the main benefit of this product, is just the energy it gives you throughout a workout to keep pushing.

Day 21

This was a back day. I wasn't really expecting much since i hadn't trained back in a while, but back is my favorite day. i again took one scoop of meso along with the powermax.

4 sets pull ups, 8, 6, 4, 4 reps
3 sets cable lat pull down, 12, 10, 8 reps, couldn't go super heavy here really, maybe around 50lb a side
4 sets deadlift, 135, 185, 225, 315 for 12 reps, 10 reps, 8 reps and 3 reps.
4 sets barbell row, 135, 135, 225, 225, for 10, 10, 8, 8 reps
4 sets cable row, 160, 180, 200, 220 for 10, 10, 8, 3 reps.

I was really surprised by this workout, especially being able to do 3 plates on deadlifts and 2 plates on barbell rows, i didn't expect that at all. I guess sometimes taking time off from training isn't so bad! Again, this workout was so fun, just having clean energy and wanting to keep lifting and pushing yourself, workouts haven't felt this good in a while. meso and this product work so good together.

On a side note, the above workout was on tuesday evening, now writing this two days later, i kind of feel like beat mashed potatoes, my body hasn't been this sore in a while! so yes, there is also a downside of not training for a month!

Day 22

This was a leg day. Again just took powermax solo and no preworkouts today.

3 sets leg extensions, 20 reps each, 30, 35, 40lb. This is always just a warmup exercise to get my legs going.
4 sets leg press, 2 plates (a side), 3 plates, 3.5 plates, 4 plates for 15, 15, 12, 8 reps. I was kind of surprised i got up to 4 plates, think this was more than i managed for a while.
4 sets squats, 135, 10 reps.
4 sets seated calf raises, 15 reps each with one plate

This was a good comeback leg workout for me, i felt pretty good, like i said i was pretty impressed with my legpress. Energy was good in this workout, from beginning to end, there was no drop off in energy towards the end of my workout, so very happy with this.

Day 23

This was an arm day, again running powermax solo with no preworkouts.

4 sets of 12 barbell curl, 70lb
4 sets of 10 close grip preacher curls, 60lb
4 sets dumbbell preacher curls, 12 reps 30lb dumbbells
4 sets of 15 reps skull crushers, 60lb
4 sets of 15 tricep pushdowns
3 sets of 12 rope tricep pushdowns
3 sets seated tricep dips

This turned into a pretty long workout, but again energy was good throughout. Also got a good pump in my arms, so i was really happy with this. In this week my body has been pretty sore, but i won't put that down to this product not helping with recovery, it's just what happens if you don't workout for a while.

Day 24

This was a shoulder day. I ran powermax with meso again.

Dumbell shoulder press, 2 warmup sets at 50lb, 10 reps, then 60, 65, 75 and 80lb for 8 reps each.
Z bar front press, 70, 70, 90, 110 lb, all sets to failure, mostly between 15-10 reps
Dumbell side laterals, drop sets with 40 and 25lb, 8 reps on each weight per set, four sets
Rear delt flyes, 60, 80, 90, 100lb, 15 reps each set
Barbell shrugs, 135, 225, 315 and 405 lb
Pump set of 15 reps each of barbell shoulder press, 45lb plate front raises and 15lb rear delt flyes

Overall a good workout. I keep saying it, but the energy you have to power through your workouts make thie product worth buying. It's a lot better than any other intra workout or bcaa product I've ever used

Day 25

This was what I call my chest primer day, where I just do various flye exercises. No preworkouts today

4 sets machine flyes, got up to 100lb for 20 reps per set
4 sets cable crossovers, all for 15 reps
4 sets dumbbell flyes with 30lb for 15 reps
4 sets pec deck, 20 reps

On this day I really try to focus on the contractions to really squeeze my chest. I also threw in 4 sets if ab exercises and 4 sets forearms in for the hell of it.

My recovery after this workout was pretty good, my chest wasn't too sore over the next few days. Normally my chest would hurt a lot, so that's a plus for powermax

That's it for my powermax run, I don't know how it happened, but I just got 25 days out of it. I might have missed a workout somewhere or overdosed somewhere. Not sure if any if any of the other reviewers also experienced it. But even at 25 servings it's a bargain. Just go buy it, like now!
