Donald Trump running for president

there is plenty of advance warning to get out before things get bad....after seeing all of those people in houston needing to be rescued by boat, learn from their tragedy.

Good advice, but easier said than done.
Agreed. It's hard to uproot and move when it is your home. I have so many animals that id struggle to get away in time because id be hell bent on saving them all. As foolish as that sounds, if you knew me in person you'd understand my passion haha.

ok, so...it would be easier to move the animals after your home is submerged and all the roads are under water?

as hard as it might be in good conditions think how hard if you are under water....just sayin.

I agree with you, leaving would be the ideal thing to do if you had the ability to do it, but it's not possible for everyone to do.

But im an idiot and would do what I could to save my animals lol.

I am saying that it might not be a choice...either you do it while the getting is good or you stay and sit on the roof of your house until a boat comes to get you-either way you are leaving!!!

Its just a lot of work T.... Right now I have 3 homes that I have to board up all the windows. Move anything inside you don't want to fly away or could be a projectile. I also have a business that I have to tie all loose ends. I have to be in court with a guy tomorrow morning. Plus little things like I need to gas up our vehicles which seems like a small thing but there's lines of cars and a lot of gas stations are already sold out. What's normally a 5 minute process can easily take an hour. Same with going in the store. Hopefully will be out of here Friday morning w the wife and kids and then its a 10 he drive to Alabama. Its a lot of work and stressful... I've been through enough though that I know the drill.... Your right though def better than the alternative

Think being dirt poor....lonely elderly etc.... this can be all managed with local governments however not sure what extent help is available.

People who have it decent should get the f' out if your house is in a flood zone or cant handle the wind or possible tornados!

Yeah some people just don't have the means either healthwise or financially... And then you got the stubborn ones

my best wishes and prayers go out to you and all the others who are affected.

like my old AA sponsor WILLIE[rip] use to tell me 'you always have a choice, just may not always be easy ones'.

I know what you mean. However, what if you don't have a car or can't drive for whatever reason?

if all the people who CAN get out do so...it would make it much easier for the one's who can't to get rescued and resources would be better served.

Agreed. If you can, do. Save the rescue resources(if needed) for those who simply cannot.

If you guys are in the path, have a checklist of things that need to be done before, and a plan for after the event.

-Leave if you can
-Get enough water and food to last 5 days minimum; include enough water in your supplies for basic sanitary needs. Buying non perishable food items that also do not require cooking is best.
-Torches and fresh batteries
-Multiple cell phone batteries in case power is cut for some time, or backup phones
-If not possible, put phone on power saving mode and DO NOT USE it unless you absolutely have to.
-Board up ALL windows, or have storm shutters (preferred)
-LEAVE ALL TIGHTLY CLOSED. Non of this "open windows on opposite sides" business. Air tight EVERYTHING.
-Brace the garage door. A lot of people assume the roof is the houses weakest link, but it might be your garage. A non reinforced garage will force air inside, and create a push-pull situation with air pressure that will lift the roof off. If in doubt, brace it more.
-If doors to the outside have air gaps, block them. Deadbolt all doors.
-If you can, and have roof strops then use those.
-Get out there and trim down any trees that pose a direct danger to you and your family inside the house. If a tree is dead, or have dead branches, those are priority.
-Take the time now to inventory your house and possessions. Take photos of everything and store these somewhere safe. Do this now, you won't have to try remember everything when you put through a claim.
-Have a secure room in your house, one you overly fortify and board up. Place mattresses around the room that can protect you from falling or flying objects. This will be your safe zone.

May be common sense to some of you who have been there done that, but may be one thing in there you forgot.

All the best!

Hopefully this doesn't offend anyone. I thought the joke itself was a little humorous. Edit: (And i really dont know if "Jose" is real either.)

I also just read that FEMA is almost out of money before Irma even hits.

Federal Flood insurance was 25 billion in the hole before even Harvey hit.

It seems every Federal program is either in a hard deficit or close to it, but lets blow up dem Koreans thats great for the economy!!! Economy of the MIC that is.

Gettin er done ✔

On to the next one.

They actually got a doggy door there too ?

my mistake...I thought they were boarding up and leaving!!!

gotta have that doggie door!!!

FEMA is a government agency...they will just print more!!!

Government doesnt print money, the Federal Reserve is an un-auditable unconstitutional private bank.

But yes I know what you mean lol.....of course thats how they raise taxes on us without calling it taxes as everything they print out of thin air devalues our life savings. F" them!!!!

yup...the mayor of my town went way over budget. he wanted to raise property taxes but there was a restriction on it, so he increased sewer bills-even set up a separate office in city hall for collection, if you don't pay water gets shut off and you get charged a $165 reconnection bill.

politicians are all crooks!!!

Agreed. That technically includes Trump now, lol.

I don't understand why people with the intelligence and resources don't create a defense against natural disasters. It's not impossible.

Too many wars and military toys to spend money on ;)

sometimes I think they don't want us to know what they are capable of....we would expect it.

of course it could be that they are afraid of unintentional consequences of messing with huge storm systems?

We have weaponized weather technology, known in use since the Vietnam days. I have no idea whats going on and how much we really have, but they arent going to tell us.

the Chinese used technology to clean the air by making it rain before marathon during Olympics.

Never heard of that. But can understand it. They have been doing that for a long time.

they even mentioned it before marathon...the air was so polluted that they had to do something....I hear air quality in china is horrible ax1

I know Ive said this before but not everybody has been around.....when I was in China in fall/winter 09 I had come up from touring the south for a month and came back to Beijing in a rare snowstorm. I found out later on Chinese news they were creating rain clouds to irrigate crops and they accidentally his some jet stream that took them to freezing winter Beijing and caused the snowstorm.

Its crazy I can claim to an official man made accidental snowstorm!

In Vietnam the US would create serious rainstorm to create major mudslides fighting those terrorists (lol do we ever learn??!) destroy river crossings and screw up overall movement for the Communist army. The US spent at least several million extending their entire monsoon season.

Never heard of that. But can understand it. They have been doing that for a long time.

They do it all the time, I usually go during National Holiday (am going there in a couple of weeks) and they hold big governmental event in Tianamen Square....most of the time is sunny and clean that day but before and after its smoggy again. They shoot up chemicals that clear up smog but my thing is, who the fuq knows what those chemicals do to humans? Just because it looks clean well, we Ill stop there. They shut down some industry as well to help contribute to clearing up for specific events.

I think it was last year or the year before my weather app said it was going to rain all weekend there for several days....they managed to have sunny skies the time they did their celebration at the Square, it was unbelievable. It was really raining all day before, then that night and the next day as it was supposed to.

Certain times of the year especially in winter when the coal fire plants fire up its so bad they have been closing schools and issuing public warning to stay inside which is something they used to completely deny just several years ago.

Often you can simply see pollution looking across the street...its not as bad as it was 10 years ago though still can get serious around winter.

They have been seeding clouds for a long time using sodium, calcium chloride, and magnesium, back in the day via air explosion mortors. Today they use 0.1micrograms per liter of silver dropped by aircraft

Here it is found some articles...I was smack in the middle of this. Just came off a 200mph high speed railway (Hi USA! cough****) from Shanghai in w/ a light sweater and sneakers....has to drag 50++ pound luggage through snow with barely any sleep for like a half hour just to catch a cab....I was frozen wet and cold and was sick for like two weeks after this. I didnt know I was going to stay down south for a month and wasnt prepared for anything so didnt even have a sweater, but nobody expected snow!
