Taking Test arimidex and acne meds.

About to start a cycle of 500mg test E. Is it safe to take doxycycline along with the test and AI? It wont hinder gains at all will it? Planning on .25-.5mg of arimidex EOD.
 
There's rumors about antibiotics decreasing protein synthesis, but even if it's true, I highly doubt it would have any real effects. I'm not really sure if it's a good idea to take antibiotics while on cycle though; maybe somebody else has experience with that and can chime in
 
Well for one, using steroids definitely isn't going to help your process of getting rid of acne I don't think. Lol
 
What's that family Guy episode with the gangster pimple on Chris face, that's the only thing I can think of right now. Lol
 
Also, Doxycycline only made my acne spots turn dark purple and look worse, so watch out for that. The sun is about the only thing that will clear up my skin.
 
I just wanted to use the doxycycline as a preventative measure. I currently dont have any acne but back when I was 18 it was horrible and I had to be on accutance but that pretty much cleared it up. That was 5 years ago and since then I have hardly had any. I just dont want it to come back once I hit the juice

Maybe go with something like retina or other topicals? Adapalene is otc now and it's essentially a mild retina

Good call on adapalene, though initiating retinoids can cause initial breakouts that may last several weeks to months. May be counterproductive if it is only for the cycle length, but is worth it in the long run imo.
 
Perfectly safe to use doxycycline while on, and would highly doubt it having any negative effect on protein synthesis, not in eukaryotic cells anyway.

If it is just short term acne control I’d say use the doxy and benzoyl peroxide twice per day after washing with a mild cleanser. Can also use the benzoyl peroxide on shoulders and back, if you can reach lol

It is different for everyone. I had horrible acne in teenage years but rarely get exacerbations on cycle. If I do they tend to be toward the beginning and then coming off. Also your history of accutane makes it that much less likely, as your oil production should be decreased significantly even years after stopping.
