"Chocolate malted ice cream with pieces of Junior’s marbled cheesecake and chocolate crushed malt balls."

Invalid Link Removed

The chocolate malt base is very good. The milk chocolate flavoring is nearly identical to what is found in "The View" except the maltiness replaces the marshmallow. Malt is sugar that adds a toasty flavor, and it has the added benefit of preventing iciness in ice cream and creating a smooth, creamy texture

Junior marbled Cheesecake pieces were no joke in this pint. As you can see the size of them are massive. Some pieces I had were over an inch thick, but there was one downside. The pieces did come out lacking in density of flavor. While the size was nice, the quality of them was not a marbled cheesecake.
I don't think cheesecake pieces work in an ice cream that well based on pints I've had at least.

Depends.... I had a cheesecake mixed froyo before and the pieces were spot on.. same with frozen custard place called the meadows that were extremly dense and packed with flavor ... can be hit or miss honestly just like with anything

Email Goldbely will send ya replacement on their dime.
I know a lady in Florida had the same issue with Fed-Ex, and even updated her tracking with package damaged during the shipping method.
You have my luck with ordering stuff.. Everything is always wrong LOL

Ice Cream + shipping won't be ideal until teleportation is a reality

Sorry to see that man, mix-ins all settle too? Never the same once re-frozen...

yeah i sent them one this morning... sucks most becuase this was the only time I will be home on a thursday (the day they always deliver) for i dont even know how long... gonna have to wait at least a few weeks til the gf comes back so she can be there to get them. Probably will be the last time I order online since its just too difficult for me to coordinate my schedule on top of the normal risks... winter/xmas order to Pitt only from now on ha

looks that way. as long as the bases are solid, they might still not be bad (and be EPICCCCC at the end ha) but def not consistency ha

I think we need to chalk it up we are the most unlucky people on their earth for all shipments
You can also schedule Friday deliveries several weeks in advance off their site so should be an easy fix for ya

Graeter's Peanut Brittle:
Grade: B-
Invalid Link Removed

"Peanut Brittle flavored ice cream loaded with crunchy, candied peanuts"

Invalid Link Removed

The Peanut Brittle base is very similar to the Peanut Butter on Graeter's Ice Cream line. The difference is this has a stronger kick of saltiness that some consumers would greatly appreciate. This enhances the fantastic base.

Invalid Link Removed

The candied peanuts are chunked up and consistent in each and every bite. The extra sweetness in the aftertaste give you a luscious vibe that pairs well with the base. Some chunks are larger then others due to the French pot processing method of creating Graeter's signature ice cream.

Cocoa meets caramel in this smooth blend of chocolate and salty caramel ice creams"

.
Graeter's is known to make high quality and dense flavored ice cream. In this limited bonus flavor it features a dual blend of their dutch chocolate and salted caramel ice creams. Both flavors shine in an equal ratio with a lingering caramel after taste. The salted caramel is crafted by cooking brown sugar and cream which leaves a bold aftertaste. Simple yet well executed. The addition of chocolate chips, truffles or brownies would of taken this to the next level!

Looks like after all the QC issues in the summer pack grace is taking a step back on production

If you look up her hash tag on IG a lot of people had tons of issues with pints especially

Baklava - melting very fast due to excessive honey used
Sticky buns - melts fast and dry sticky buns
Magic bar - dry graham crackers and lack of sticky bun chunks
Buckeye - icy consistency of base

Dark chocolate ice cream made with 72 percent Guittard chocolate and cocoa powder, hazelnut paste and gianduja covered crack cookies, dark-chocolate-brownies flavored with natural orange extract and a splash of Grand Marnier, white chocolate pearls."

Invalid Link Removed

The Guittard dark chocolate ice cream was impressively rich and reminded me of the old Jeni's Dark chocolate base. The premium chocolate ice cream is far from ultra dark, but has elements that resemble one of the best chocolate bases of all time in ice cream

The crack cookies are a Ample Hills signature mix-in. The saltiness combined with the dark chocolate base gives you a decadent mixture. The brownies were very soft and similar to the Greyston Bakery ones found in Ben & Jerry pints. The brownies had a great texture, were very chewy, and packed a ton of flavor.

Folks this is the GOAT OF Ample Hills

Nothing at all so far

Contact Goldbely. They will refund you just like every other customer. They are probably in the process of doing hundreds of refunds. So it may not happen "instantly", but you will get your $$ back.
Rather you get a refund then get subpar ice cream with the issues flaring up. Luckily a majority of my pints were fine. If you got a bunch of bad pints like a lot of customers were getting then you would be even more pissed off compared to your refund.

All of her ice cream has been pulled from Goldbely, so nobody is getting any LIttle G's. Smart of her to fix her issues instead of trying to keep expanding her line with demand. She is gonna take a huge hit and loss for doing this but it is for the better for her and the company. She is going back to just a few base flavors off the OG Line after a few weeks of getting back in the kitchen to fix the issues that flared up.

A lot of good months from Salt & Straw coming up in the fall. If you are home that would be a safe bet, and they never have QC Issues! Ask GNO I think it is better you wait for something that will have 0 issues and faster CS then Little G. She dropped the ball hard here. Believe me your not alone in being furious her wall is getting plastered with pissed off people lol

I reached out last night and they said a refund within 10days or so.

Frankly I'm just annoyed cuz I wanted to finally try something from them. This whole experience has pretty much turned me off from online ice cream orders permanently. Just jot worth the cost and effort when there's plenty of store bought ones that I enjoy just fine and for 100% less $ and hassle

Wait for some fall S&S Flavors.
Mind Blowing. Period. Hence why they are the best IMO in the business next to Ample Hills @ #2
You could always amazon some AH Flavors, they are like 10$ a pint and you can prime that .. Munchies is a safe bet. You would go nuts over that stuff.

Still just way too much of a pain with my schedule. Shipping is risky enough without the chance of me not being home/delays. And for double or more the price on the cheap end. It's just not realistic for my situation regardless how good they could be, if they're melted or junk every time it's just burning money for nothing

AH will be good to go off Amazon. Plus you won't pay for shipping with Prime. Thats like 40$ for 4 pints shipped including shipping. Which is the best bang for your buck. Like i said if you are home its a good investment to get top tier stuff on the cheap.

If you do know your gonna be home for a prolonged period and can schedule in advance and you have the cash get some S&S around the fall when they release some of their best flavors.

S&S is the best in terms of quality, taste and uniqueness. However, for the price point ($23 per pint). If you get a little less mix-ins or your pint is icy it's maddening knowing you paid that much for less than amazing.

Def not bang for your buck

If they are icy, Contact NIK (Their CS guy) you will have another full shipment on your way. Same with AH. Their Customer service is unmatched.

I had one bad pint of munchies with no mix-ins and they sent me 4 more.
When my first shipment of S&S Melted, Nik refunded me my money and sent me a shipment in return for free. So basically a free shipment and my money back. I have seen some people who had subpar pints from S&S and they sent them a full 5-6 pint shipment due to the issue.

You are in good hands with those companies.

As you know I don't live in the US so not so easy to deal with issues like that

Anyways I don't order ic online anymore

Yeah totally different on your end taking your stuff up to Canada after getting it shipped inside the US.
If you were in the US for a prolonged period of time and there was an issue. You would be well taken care of.

I would rent any space with an outlet, get a freezer, and live on US ice cream options.

Not really... but I can dream

This is a mixture of the Dutch Cocoa Base & Salted Caramel base blended together. While both are great ice creams, this is just way too boring for me. Throw in some signature chocolate chips, brownies and truffles then we would be talking.

If anyone has had Gelato Fiasco Dark Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt which was absolutely stellar on its on without any mix-ins. this is basically very close but Graeter's has a much denser flavor. Its good, but could be much better.

I hope the next 2 bonus flavors are much better dropping Next Monday (Aug 7th), and then on the 21st of August.

"Cream Cheese ice cream with red velvet white chocolate Chip MdoughW pieces."

Invalid Link Removed

The density of the ice cream is very good as expected from little G's, but it is missing the tanginess one would desire from a cream cheese base.

Invalid Link Removed

The star of the show was the MdoughW Red Velvet White Chocolate Chip pieces. Man oh man are these things absolutely glorious. The doughie is so soft that it literally melts in your mouth upon biting into them. The white chocolate chips pack a bold flavor in each and every bite, but the red velvet cookie's chewiness and density are surreal.

The MdoughW pieces were great about the only good thing from this whole collab, but the amount you got on the other hand.. pissening

Little G's White Chocolate Macadamia Nut MdoughW
Grade: C
Invalid Link Removed

"White Chocolate ice cream with sugar cookie MdoughW pieces and toasted macadamia nuts"

Invalid Link Removed

The white chocolate base seemed to be lacking the sweetness of true white chocolate. The density and creaminess of the ice cream was very good as are all the Little G Ice cream flavors as Grace has added plant stabilizers to help the thickness and prevent the ice cream from getting freezer burn during the shipping process.

Invalid Link Removed

The sugar cookie MdoughW pieces were amazing due to the chewiness, density, and quality associated with the brownie and cookie mix. The sugar cookie aspect was totally lost just like the base.

The macadamia nuts I found no "toasted" flavor to them, as they appeared to taste just like they came from a bulk aisle in a local whole foods. The only complain about the nuts is the size of them. Annoying, large, and almost break your teeth.

"Roasted coffee beans and sweet brown sugar fused for a smooth blend"
.
Like Caramelized Chocolate (last bonus flavor) this is a combination of base ice creams with no mix-ins. The coffee flavor is strong, as the brown sugar element is much more profound as it hits you in the aftertaste. The coffee beans remind me of a mild brew coffee. Nothing that will be too dark, nor nothing too light like a blonde roast. You can taste hints of steamed milk as you taste the ice cream that goes very well with the overpowering brown sugar flavoring. Hands down this is one of Graeter's strongest base ice creams I have ever tasted. Being a coffee lover this was great

Little G's Cinnamon Caramel Churro MdoughW
Grade: C+
Invalid Link Removed

Little G's Cinnamon Caramel Churro MdoughW is labeled as "Cinnamon ice cream with churro MdoughW pieces and a salted caramel swirl."
Invalid Link Removed

The cinnamon base packs a punch! Wow did this have a lot of spice associated with the density of Little G's ice cream. This is absolutely fantastic after taking a few bites. If you ever had a fresh churro from a fair you know these are very strong in cinnamon sugar flavor, and that is exactly what this base brings to the table

Invalid Link Removed

The churro MdoughW pieces were hard to find in this pint, I got a total of 3 of them when it was all said and done, and that was a little heartbreaking. It was just as bad as not finding any swirl throughout the entire pint which was another back breaker.

Graeter's Butterscotch Latte:
Grade: C+ (Overall) B+ (As a Base alone)
"Roasted coffee beans and sweet brown sugar fused for a smooth blend of ice cream that would make even the finest barista proud."

Invalid Link Removed

The coffee flavor is strong, as the brown sugar element is much more profound as it hits you in the aftertaste. The coffee beans remind me of a mild brew coffee.

Invalid Link Removed

This is no where near a top tier flavor like Buckeye, Black Raz, Cheesecrown, but for a base alone it is good. I would like to see Graeter's maybe mesh this with Brownies (like Ample Hills The Eye Opener), Chocolate Chips (Espresso Chip From Gelato Fiasco), or a unique mix-in from their bakery like a Danish that would really take this to another level.

Finally something worth trying here in town for me, GNO I'm told it's great. They even mix in the base ingredients and chill/churn it there. They also do the oriental style thin frozen and rolled.

Will be trying

Tried the lemon cake one last night. It's really good... except if you remember when halo top first came out and you had to leave the ice cream out for 5-8min to soften it, that's how this is. It's not as creamy as halo top. But, it's only $2.99 a pint.
