Stay on TRT or back to Natty

1. How is your bloodwork at 200mg/week in terms of Total/Free T and other parameters (changes in lipids, hematocrit, etc.?)

From my most recent set of labs (Feb 2017):

Total Test: 28.2 nmol/L
Free Test: 638 pmol/L
Bioavailable Test: 13.0 nmol/L
Estradiol: <60 pmol/L
DHEA: 6.9 umol/L
Free T3:3.7 pmol/L
Free T4: 16 pmol/L
Total Cholesterol: 4.53 mmol/L
HDL: 1.40 mmol/L
LDL: 2.77 mmol/L
Triglycerides: 0.78 mmol/L
Hematocrit: 0.46 L/L (on the high side of normal so started giving blood every other month)

2. How do you feel on that dose?
Like I am 25 again! :) Seriously, I feel like I'm in my thirties even though I'm closer to 50!

3. And where did you find a clinic to prescribe it?
Canada :p

Thanks, much appreciated.

You live in Canada I take it?

What kind of gains in the gym have you seen (if any) since starting TRT?

Do you regret starting?

Yup, I'm in Canada. My strength increased significantly in all major lifts and my physiquehas transformed considerably since starting approx. 4 years ago. That said, gains did "level off" after the first year as I'm not taking in supraphysiological doses (although some would argue a hefty TRT dose).
I don't regret starting at all...I'm much happier now than I was pre-TRT...even though I understood from the start that I'd likely be on it for life after starting.

Thanks... could you give an idea of what kind of strength increase you actually had? E.g., 225 -> 275 bench or something. Just curious as to what I might be able to expect.

Also are you at 200mg/week? I would have thought you'd have higher total T at that dose than the 800s based on what I've seen from bloodwork at 200mg/week.

I'll have to look up those numbers as it's been 4 years since i got on.

Yup, 200mg/wk...was in the low 200s when i started

Was 260 today. Been wondering why I've been feeling like crap for the past year or so. Always tired at the end of the day, mental clarity is usually lacking until I have multiple cups of coffee, only romping with the wife once every 7-10 days. Just feel off. Really hoping this gets me feeling better!

Think you're gonna be pleasantly surprised bro...your world is about to change! btw what dose are you getting?

Great information in this thread. I've been on 200mg test cyp trt for a few years now and take 1mg Arimidex (i.e. anastrozole) twice per week (i.e. with each 100mg injection). It sounds like some would consider that a fairly high dose of Arimidex but I've not been experiencing any side effects of low E2 to this point and from what I recall, my bloodwork for estrogen always comes back within acceptable parameters. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Should I try backing off a bit on the Arimidex and see how it goes?

I take .5 mg EOD (1.5-2 mg/week) to manage mine from the Androgel and HCG. No issues at all. just keep checking with regular bloodwork

Good to hear, man! So they are giving me 200mg a week, but I'd like to split that up into a twice a week dose of 100mg per injection to keep things smooth and easy. What's your dose look like?

Haha exactly that! Started with 200mg injections once per week but changed to 100mg injections on Sat mornings and Tues evenings to keep levels stable. Best way to do it imo.

Definitely split the dose bro. Every 3.5 days like clockwork.
Glad to hear you are going down this path. You will be so glad you did. TRT was life changing for me. Never felt better. Keep us posted.

I don't really diet bro - just watch macros such as sugar and fat. I still pretty much eat drink whatever but workout hard and try to keep it decent. In any case - the TRT will help with any diet (increases mass while dieting or bulking). Can't go wrong - just keep training.

How old are you if you don't mind my asking?
