Inflammation

So just in general, what supplements are best for inflammation? I know of fish oil (which I use) and curcumin (haven't tried yet, still a little concerned about its MAOI effects), but what else is there?

Ginger and turmeric. If you have sprained your ankle or something like that you can wrap it in tobacco leaves. I know it sounds weird but it's always helped me recover from rugby injuries.

If your going to stack nsaids remember you shouldn't stack ibuprofen and naproxen, but you can stack either of those with Tylenol.

Thanks all. This is less for my injuries and more for systemic inflammation as I've recently been diagnosed with sarcoidosis. I take aspirin as needed. I'll look into ginger. Turmeric works through curcumin so I'll probably stay away from that as well.

I have had great success with fish oil, turmeric and chaos and pain joint product. This is something that I noticed over time not an instant gratification.

Are you not taking any medication besides aspirin?

bcm95 and novasol curcumin here, high dosed.
made my knee and elbow pain much better.
but i got a yellow touch on my feet nails (which, according to the intanet, is from curcumin high dosed :P)

Folidrone 2.0 is an anti-inflammatory and many other things. I notice significantly less pain, tension and inflammation when using it. It can be run year around.

Joint supports are great for joint pain. I use either formutech flexible or joint xt. Hi tech also has an herb pain killer that has helped a little. Mind and muscle carries it as well.

Why did you ask about taking other medications?

I asked because of interactions between supplements and medications since you mentioned that you have been diagnosed with sarcoidosis. You're on a few, so I honestly wouldn't feel comfotable suggesting anything. Personally, I would defer to your physician.

Gotcha.
