Silly question about powders

Does it matter if I take a scoop of powder in my mouth and shug it down with water or should I mix it with water like the directions say?

It's mostly pre workout drinks I do this with and asking so I don't miss out on any benefits.
 
Yep you're perfectly fine just throwing it in your mouth and chasing it with water. That's what a lot of people do with preworkout powders. It hits faster for me to because you're taking it all in at once rather than sipping on it pre workout.
 
I have never tried it, but have seen lots doing it at the gym. Seems fine
 
I see people do this and wonder how bad it tastes to do this? I've never tried because I tend to drink mine on the way to the gym.
 
Lol, thanks for all the answers, sometimes you have that powder that tastes horrible but you get good results from it or when you just don't want a whole drink, it's nice to go Kamikaze and hold your breath, down a scoop, swallow it with some water, pound your chest and go workout!
 
I dont know how people can shotgun powders :p
 
I always prefer using just a bit of water, making it more like a pre workout shot rather than choking down the dry powder
 
Wouldn't some ingredients, like glycerol/hydromax be better when well hydrated?

I personally found NO products work better with at least half a shaker of water...

And yea, lotta these powders are too acidic to just throw back
