Nice!
Yohimbe and Rauwolscine give me major anxiety even at low doses.
Yohimbine tanks my cortisol, hard, and makes me literally feel like I'm dying. It's a weird chemical.

Day 7. Weight 178.8. Rest day.
I woke up exhausted and feeling like I'm getting sick. I decided to take a rest day after dosing a sh1t load of stims and still feeling like I could go back to bed.
Protein intake was way too high yesterday and I'm out of ketosis. I'm gonna keep carbs as well as total kcals low today.
Protein is only too high when your farts cripple young children...Today's macros: 2155 kcals

My protein intake was a little high today... I check ketones in the am

If your strength is dropping very fast. That is a red flag.
Calories are too low, not refeeding/taking cheat meals when needed. too much cardio.
You need to take a back seat and re-look at your diet and training. Do you really need that much volume? Most likely no..
When you diet you want to keep INTENSITY high, and volume lower. This is to compensate for a caloric deficit. You don't have excessive glycogen to expand. Doing a lot of super sets, tri-sets, and lots of volume is going to deplete the living hell out of you. Just something to consider.
If your strength is dropping that fast, then id say a refeed is needed. Thanks Bob... I probably need to adjust my routine. I was just thinking my performance was gonna be impacted until I get keto adapted
Also, I was thinking that I'd do a carb refeed weekly but was gonna wait a few weeks before starting the carb ups. Think I should start the refeeds sooner?

**when Mike realizes he's losing muscle**I'm gonna do a refeed after leg day (Thursday).. you guys got me all concerned I'm losing muscle tissue lol.

Fck down 8lbs in 8 days!!! WTF lol... strength is dropping quickly and I seemed to get a couple reps less than typically on about every lift. I guess it's to be expected.
With that said, I didn't notice the Cordygen today... it was just a sorry workout overall and I still feel sick (congestion and feverish feeling).
I had bloods taken today and will post results to get some feedback when I get them... Hopefully my lipids, liver and test levels have bounced back from last summer.. I'm not holding my breath though
I'm going to go out on a limb and say your strength is going down since you are sick? And cals to low. 8 elbows in 8 days. You been throwing up?
That should do it! Fuc k!That's what I was thinking but I'm not fcking around here lol... I care more about my lean tissue than my "man gut." So, following The Solution's advice, I just ate the following
9oz Chicken breast
6 oz baked broccoli with olive oil
Some large pieces of dark chocolate
1 bowl of Chex mix cereal with 1 cup whole milk
1 medium banana
1 granola bar
1 tbsp peanut butter
That should do it! Fuc k!
That crap is going around everywhere, took me 10 days to get rid of it.Hell yeah.. btw I wasn't throwing up. Just got a cold going on. My wife and son got it as well. Just feeling funky.
I get this as well, maybe not feel like I'm dying levels, but it definitely messes with my cortisol. Surprisingly ashwagandha helps a bit, even though conventional wisdom is that it also lowers cortisol. But not a yohimbine fan, I'd almost rather do clen.

PM sent I would love to know moreOral hydrocortisone, 80-100 mg loading dose and then 20-40 mg, 4x daily, will wipe out any cold or flu within 24-48 hours. And no, this will not eat any muscle, nor cause any other negative effects.
All flu -- and to a lesser extent cold -- symptoms are identical to those of acute adrenal failure ("Addisonian crisis", see: Invalid Link Removed), because...
"influenza virus type A infection may have an inhibitory effect on the production or release of ACTH."
Clin Infect Dis. 1998 Mar;26(3):708-10.
...flu viruses cause acute adrenal insufficiency. Supplemental cortisol (hydrocortisone) results in an almost immediate (within 4 hours) improvement in symptoms. Your immune system continues to fight the extremely weak infection, but you no longer feel ill. I never get sick -- the moment I feel like I'm starting to get sick, I dose hydrocortisone, and the cold/flu never happens. The majority of people who die from the flu die from secondary pneumonia, which is actually a complication of the acute adrenal insufficiency caused by the virus.
"Hydrocortisone treatment was associated with a significant reduction in length of hospital stay (p = 0.03) and mortality (p = 0.009)."
Hydrocortisone Infusion for Severe Community-acquired Pneumonia: A Preliminary Randomized Study
Am J Respir Crit Care Med. 2005 Feb 1;171(3):242-8.
PM me if you have any issues getting HC... I know ways.

thats far from a refeed, but that should get the job done lol.
refeeds are generally lowering your fat intake and increase your carb intake, since your protein is low on keto as is, you should just maintain it. I would probably do something like this
140g Protein, 350g Carbs-400g, 50g Fat
I would do that once a week on a heavy bodypart (legs/back) whatever you find that you need the extra push out, and disperse your carbs throughout the day, but make pre/intra/post your heaviest doses.
If you end up going to bed at night very hot, sweaty that is good (leptin/t3 levels increased) and also your metabolism is kicking up. If you also find the next day the pump you get is off the charts thats about bonus as well to show you the body is soaking everything up.
My 2 cents. A cold won't cause you to lose 8 pounds. If you were in sick with the flu of bronchitis where you were not eating or anything then that is a different story. Your still training and eating. 8 pounds that fast is just a recipe for muscle loss, disaster, and doing way too much cardio or calories or too low (or both)
If you tolerate carbs, there is 0 reason to go keto . my 2 cents. Just because you lose a ton of water weight from cutting carbs does not mean its optimal. Its actually far from optimal for most clients or people in the weightloss phase. Carbs are protein sparing, while they are not necessary (like protein and fat) they have so many benfits. People just avoid them like the plaque and think they are awful when in reality they are glucose/fuel for your training and have too many benefits.
For most people they think keto is a short term plan to get lean , but when they realize that their body doesnt respond well (energy, pump, intensity during training, endurance) etc they just still stick to it because they hear it works. Not always the case.
If I were to carb cycle, what would you recommend insofar as macros are concerned?
Ill give you a hormone panel in banana land :naughty:Day 9. Weight 179. 30min fasted AM walk; 30min afternoon lifting.

Strength feels normal and my cold is clearing up.. my lower back is bugging me again; this morning when I went for my walk I got a tingling sensation on my tailbone down to my upper hamstring. I'm guessing I tweeked something doing bent over rows. It hasn't been painful just feels weird. I might have to rest it tomorrow if it still feels goofy in the AM.
I still haven't gotten my labs emailed to me but the Dr called and said everything looks fine except my LDL is a little elevated. The hormone panel will take a few day cause they have to send it out lol... I bet hairygrandpa has better medical technology in banana land than I do in Wyoming
Ill give you a hormone panel in banana land :naughty:
Lmao oh I wouldlol I'm sure you would
A majority of people who have back issues have very tight hamstrings.
Do you stretch much? Do you rumble roll? If not I can almost bet that if you loosened up your hamstrings and hip girdles it would release your lower back.
I have done that on countless clients and people in general with bad backs and BOOM instant relief.

I really don't stretch that much to be honest. I I just stretched after reading this and my back feels a little better but my hamstring is twitching now lol...
That's because you're old
True! I have always been limber, I could put my hands flat on the floor bending over and touching me toes. I started having lower back problems about 15 years ago. My chiro told me my hams we tight. I though he was full of it. Started a stretching program and this roller machine thing he had, and it helped. Still get a back spasm here and there but very rare. I also stretch my hammies while I brush my teeth.A majority of people who have back issues have very tight hamstrings.
