What Body Fat % do you think I am?

Obviously the hand held scanners are usually wrong and it says I have 22% bodyfat.

Anyways I am curious what do you think I am, 5'10" 174lbs. On the second week of my cut, down from 185 so far

YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE SPACE BEFORE THE .com in the link!

Those have a margin of error up to 6-8 percent + or -.

In this case after looking at your photo.

Obviously that handheld scanner is wrong. Take off 6 to 8 percent. :D
14-16%

For us to give you an answer is nearly impossible. Your virtually showing us a small piece of the puzzle.
No shots of your legs, no shots of your back. These are both huge area's where males store a lot of their bodyfat.
Anyone can take off their shirt and say "Hey bro" guess my bodyfat. But the chances of us being correct are far from accurate.

Showing full body shots are much more easier to diagnose and make an educated guess. if you really want to know get a bodpod done or get the underwater test and you will get your true answer.

BTW if you really lost 11 pounds in 2 weeks I would re-evaluate your dietary intake, dropping that fast is not ideal, nor is it smart especially for a cutting phase.

My 2 cents.

Creatine is stored intracellular not extracellular. It is stored inside the cell not outside of the cell.
creatine pulls water into the actual muscle cell itself with little to no effect on subcutaneous water retention.
If anything, creatine will cause your muscles to appear harder and more defined
Stopping creatine while cutting is a dumb idea and should be utilized 24/7. You do realize has too many benefits to not be taking it? Many competitors take it all the way up and through their show to look their best.

So therefore that is a wrong assumption.

The only reason I stopped is because I've been on it for 6 months and wanted to take a break but I plan to start it again in about 2 weeks. I went from having to drink 6L of water a day to 2-2 1/2

There is no reason to stop creatine usage. Period.
Do you want to stop eating steak, salmon, or tuna,? These are all sources of food that contain creatine. Do we need to take a break or cycle off eating these foods? No...
Your missing the point. You should always be drinking plenty of fluids regardless of creatine usage or not.

I'm aware but simply wanted to see how my body reacted to not having 10g of creatine a day that is all. I can for sure say I do not look as pumped when I did take it and strength Does not increase as quickly.

and again. 0 need to take more then 3-5g of creatine a day. Especially since ATP stores are saturated so taking more does not have any additional benefit.
Don't know why you would ever go that high as no research has any validity at those dose.

Total body creatine pool turnover is ~2 grams per day. So, if you've neared saturation from use of creatine over an extended period of time, then you are not going to retain more than ~2 grams no matter what. ~3 grams (+/- a little dpending upon LBM) is really all that's needed. As you can see from the Cr group below, most of the 10 grams of creatine taken at once goes down the toilet.

Yeah I would agree with you 14-16% I figured

Happy to help my man.
The mirror is your best friend, but here are some other suggestions from Dr. Google. :D

1) Take a Look – This might be my favorite method, although it requires a trained eye and isn’t exact. By having an accurate list of pictures and comparing a picture of yourself, you can determine somewhat closely what your body fat percentage is. This is a great article I’ve found for accurate portrayal of body fat percentage. Make sure to note the difference in the two men, both at 10% body fat further down the page.

2) Body Fat Calipers – Pick up a set of calipers for $5. Pull the fat away from your muscles, pinch them with the caliper, take the measurements, and look at a chart to figure out your body fat percentage. Some recommend using one test site, some multiple. In my experience, I have found that these calipers tend to underestimate body fat percentage (mine tell me that i’m 9 or 10% when I’m really 12%, and Staci’s say she’s 17% when she’s more like 20%), but are surprisingly accurate considering how cheap they are. Check out more information on caliper use.

3) The measurement method – By taking measurements (like the US Navy measurement or the YMCA measurement), you can calculate your body fat percentage. I have found, as have others, that this method isn’t incredibly accurate as it can very easily overestimate your body fat. Considering it only takes a few points of data, this is not surprising.

4) Body fat scales and monitors – An electrical current is sent through your body and uses “biometrical impedance analysis.” I don’t really like this method, as I find the number that it spits out to be horribly inaccurate; because they send an electrical current through your body, the amount of water you are carrying can drastically adjust this number. (You have discovered how these suck)

5) The Bod Pod – The method calculates your body fat percentage by using air displacement to measure your body mass, volume, and density. This is also pretty darn accurate, but also pretty darn expensive at usually around $75 per session. Find a bod pod location by putting in your location in the right hand column.

6) Water displacement – Although very accurate (within 1-3% percent), it’s expensive, tedious, and a huge pain in the butt. If anybody has any experience with a water displacement test, please share your story in the comments.

7) DEXA Scanning– This is considered the most accurate method, as it actually takes a full dual X-ray of your body composition and gives you numbers. You can get this done at a health facility, and involves you lying on an X-Ray table for about 10 minutes. It’s typically expensive, anywhere from $50-150 per session depending on where you are located.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you are going to start testing your body fat percentage, do whatever you can to test yourself under the same conditions each and every time. For example: every Monday morning, on an empty stomach, while drinking a single glass of water. This way, even if you’re not getting the correct body fat percentage (due to user error), you’ll at least get a consistent incorrect body fat percentage and can calculate how much you lost or if you are progressing in the right way.

Your fine using creatine on both. Again creatine is something also found in fish, steak, and tuna. I don' think pro's stop eating steak and fish when they diet do they?
Perfectly fine to utilize it, and those pros are taking 2-3-4-5x the amount anyone on here would ever take.

Not saying you should quit taking creatine on cycle, but IMO I think it would be better served being used the last 4 weeks or so so that when you reach saturation during PCT, it will maybe help you maintain size and strength during said PCT.

Quitting creatine has no relevance, nor will you find a study to implicate that.
It doesn't matter if you are on gear or not, it should be taken year round for the endurnace, performance, recovery, and strength aspects.
Hence why all competitors take it year round regardless of their goal. It will only help OP in the gym and out of the gym. Who doesn't want to have any aspect or aid when trying to retain strength especially if he is dieting? Optimal performance should be anyones aim. Especially for how dirt cheap creatine truly is.

If you eat a piece of steak that is almost 2g of creatine, that is almost saturation (3g) especially if you are a consistent user.
Loading and cycling do not have their benefit at all

Do you have any recommendations on a good and affordable creatine brand? I just use a basic monohydrate that's super inexpensive. I tried cell tech and their hyperbuild and even though I think it's claims are a bit exaggerated ilI was seeing weekly increases of 5lb on the dumbbell presses and other exercises as well.

SNS creatine is super affordable and high quality.
