Are peptides the next spiking scheme ?

Hello all,
I am just wondering about the peptides companies add to proteins... like leucine and whey peptides.

Do they read as protein?
Are they positive in free amino levels tests ?
Where are they sourced from ?

Thank you all !

Free aminos levels test? Maybe elaborate on that.

And where are they sourced? The same place as every other ingredient. Good ole China.

To prove a protein to be free from spiking you need to make lab test to check free amino acids ( aminos from real proteins are chained to each other so they read as 0 in free level test...)

About the source: I mean the main ingredient and not the country of origin. A lot of bcaa and amino powders are sourced from feathers and hair...

I only trust companies who answer these questions.

Why does it matter where the BCAAs are sourced from? Once you have an amino acid, that is all it is, whatever chemical structure describes it.

If you have a sample of tap water and a sample of spring water and you remove everything from both that isn't H2O, what do you have? Two identical samples of pure water.

I don't care. I don't take it, but for the 0.0000001 chemical remnant some one may care.

I am not sure of my info.
But thats how stack3d, priceplow and other pros are doing it as I saw
Maybe i am wrong. Feel free to shed any light.

No company would try to spike the overall protein content with something like PepForm. AAMF, if it's in there, 99% chance it's in a prop blend and probably contains 125mg of it, LOL.

LOL, I agree :) pepform is expensive. But would glycine/taurine peptides exist? What do you think ?

You can ask the manufacturer for a certificate of analysis. Sometimes they will give it to you.
