What up errybody!

I wanna thank Sean1332, Hyde, and Controlled Labs for the opportunity to log and review PROmore-Frosted Cinnamon Buns! The flavor choice is unique and does sound amazing. The original promo was to win 3-3serving tubs of the new flavors from CL, but due to a mixup, I received 1 full-sized tub of the Frosted Cinnamon Buns flavor. Believe me, I'm pretty happy with that mix-up;). It's a shame I won't get to review the Orange and Snickerdoodle flavors as those are very unique and intriguing, but now I will have more flexibility to use the protein in a variety of ways.

Agreed. I tried it this morning. First time ever trying PROmore. Seems to be a high quality protein. Taste was great. I'll elaborate later.

First impressions:

This protein powder is very fine and also very fragrant. I can definitely smell the cinnamon and vanilla. My first shake was with 10 oz. whole milk and as you can see it foamed up a decent bit as milk generally does. It settled in a couple minutes. It may have foamed but the powder dissolved perfectly. Not a single clump in the shaker. The first sip was delicious! Very sweet and it hit with lots of vanilla and somewhat buttery with a definite strong cinnamon note on the end. This was nice and refreshing to me. I've been through 6 big tubs of chocolate and chocolate peanut butter protein over the past year and needed to change it up. I tried vanilla for a bit but kinda got bored with it as well as I'm sure any flavor does for most people. This is a nice departure from the regular flavors. Wish I could've tried Snickerdoodle or the Orange flavor:(. Pretty sure this would've been my top choice though as I'm not super adventurous with my protein favors. Lol

I'm a breakfast meal connoisseur but I can barely cook an edible regular pancake so we shall see. Lol. Might have to put a filter on my food porn pics. Bahahaha

Had a shake in 10 oz. plain almond milk last night. No pics but it foamed less than whole milk and mixed cleanly. Very crisp taste and smooth texture. Same amazing sweetness followed by the cinnamon Kicker:).

So the protein cakes were a success. The texture was nice. I could taste a hint of the cinnamon and sweetness. The recipe I used had banana in it however and it definitely had a banana taste in there. Next time I'll look for a recipe without banana to get only the cinammon protein flavor. But overall, it was pretty good.

So I tried my hand at protein ice cream the other day and it sucked! Lol. Anybody have a reliable recipe? TheSolution? booneman77?

I didn't finish it or take pics. It was horrible. The taste was okay but the texture was wrong.

Protein Pudding. 1 PROmore Frosted Cinnamon Bun and plain Greek yogurt. Not bad at all. I don't like plain geek yogurt all that much but this made it much more enjoyable. The acidic properties of the yogurt overpowered the sweetness of the frosting that but the cinnamon notes remained strong. It did tone down the tartness quite of the yogurt quite a bit which is as a plus. Nice healthy and tasty snack for pre-bed.

Of all the ways I've tried this protein flavor, with whole milk or almond milk are my faves. Whole milk has quite a bit of foam that needs to settle. Plain almond milk had less with zero clumping. Can't go wrong either way.

I very often do Greek with pro and granola as my preWO meal - digests very easily and is satisfying.

Sucks the ice cream was a bust! I've never made it either

i go very simple, its not at all true "ice cream", and will def have more of the icy texture but its low cal for the volume:
1c ff greek yogurt
2c almond/cashew milk
2sc protein
water as needed to thin it out (usually 1/4-1/2c)
just whisk it together and either pour into an ice cream maker or put in the freezer and make sure to stir/mix it every 15-20min to get it to freeze evenly.

If you want more of the creamy texture, go for full fat yogurt, full fat milk or even cream, and less or no water.

The granola sounds good. I'll give that a go. I just tried the first recipe that came up. Had almond milk and almond butter. The almond butter detracted too much. I'll be trying other recipes for sure.

Sounds great Boone. Thank ya. My recipe had almond butter which ruined it for me. I'll definitely give this a go.

This came out much better when I omitted the almond butter:). Almond milk was good and the cinnamon flavor shined through much more.

PROmore Frosted Cinnamon Bun Review

Mixability:5/5
This protein blend mixes extremely well in every liquid I tried it in. Even almond milk presented next to no clumping. And there is only minor foaming when mixing in a skater with no whole milk(my preferred shake method). This is great. Many other protein shakes create a ton of foam.

Texture/thickness:5/5
This is not a thick protein with lots of texture. For my preferences this is perfect. I've grown somewhat tired of really thick shakes as I generally mix with whole milk. Very smooth mouthfeel.

Profile/Blend: 5/5
The blend of six proteins is very solid. It has a great mix of fast and slow digesting protein forms. It is also pretty low fat and low sugar.

Taste:5/5
Finally, my favorite criterion. I LOVE the Frosted Cinnamon Bun flavoring. At the first sip you are hit with a very sweet frosting flavoring and as it fades you are hit at the end with very good cinnamon notes. It is very crisp and clean tasting. I've always been a typical chocolate/vanilla protein guy so this was a refreshing change. I definitely look forward to trying more adventurous protein flavors moving forward. The Orange cream flavor I'm a tiny bit trepidatious but based on this experience I will be trying it and Snickerdoodle at some point. Homer in on this flavor Controlled Labs. The sweetened, flavor, taste/texture all come together perfectly IMO.

Versatility:5/5
This was another area where I felt it performed perfectly. It mixed well in every type of liquid and maintained a strong flavor in each one. I also used it succ as fully in half a dozen ways: protein cakes, proats, ice cream, protein balls, yogurt, crepes. The flavor was noticeable and shined well in most things except the protein balls and protein cakes. And everything cooked perfectly with the addition of powdered protein. I've used this daily for the past month and have only used my other 4 protein flavors in my stash maybe a handful of times.

Overall:5/5
This was an easy review. It performed well if not perfectly on each of the criterion that I was concerned with. Great job with this flavor and product CL. PROmore has definitely earned a spot in my supplement pantry. Can't wait to see and try other flavoring offerings in the future. I'll be looking for deals on the other two flavors soon.
