Donald Trump running for president

I am really having a hard time accepting how vile and crude the anti-trump 'protesters' have become!!!

Some Trump supporters were pretty vile and crude during the campaign. Like you said before, not sure where they all went now.

I'm sure we'll see more vile and crude behavior from them in the future.

Let's face it, both sides have vile and crude people.

I just posted yesterday that I agree with Trump's Secretary of Defense pick and was encouraged that he will defer to him on torture.

I also think it's a great thing that we didn't enter TPP.

I can agree on things that he does that I agree with, but IMO he is far too close to the big banks and corporations for my liking. In the end, they will benefit the most from his presidency IMO.

Let's try to find some common ground.

Yes he has said over and over again he wants to end illegal immigration and wants people to simply come here legally like its supposed to be.

This cant be any clearer, and is repeated consistently since the beginning.

Not really. He cares as much about immigration as he does about women's reproductive rights or not.
If it doesn't affect him, he doesn't care. I'm wondering when this will be realized by more people.

Sep 11 Terrorists were:

  • 15 Saudis
  • 2 UAE
  • 1 Egypt
  • 1 Lebanon

Trump restricts visa from

  • Iraq
  • Iran
  • Libya
  • Somalia
  • Sudan
  • Syria
  • Yemen

Considering he has only said anything about ILLEGALS and people coming from countries with isis sympahizers, I haven't seen any ambiguity.

Plus the state dept people didn't run and hide because they are terrified of trump.
What's ironic to me is that me is that the seven countries he has prohibited on his list are already difficult to obtain a visa.

He left off the countries that had links to actual terror attacks in the US:

Haha, we're on the same page. Just posted an article about that.

Those are all countries where Obama and the CIA trained and financed terrorists at least. I haven't looked at the ban list yet though.

in a capitalist system our economy is directly tied to big banks and corporations being successful.....In the past the saying was 'what's good for general motors is good for america'...like it or not we need big business to be successful!!!

But giving them trillions in tax cuts in hopes that they will pass that wealth on to the American people out of the goodness of their hearts is foolish.

Trickle down economics didn't work with Reagan, won't work now.

I think the workers at carrier and ford might disagree.

Well look at Detroit... that's what America will look like when we lose big business.

I'm concerned about deregulation on Wall Street paired with a possible trade war...

We have had our chance at vehicles that could use less gas or none, and the lobbyists for big auto quashed that for far too many years. They caused the demise of detroit. The people want those vehicles, and that is why I have a Honda, not a Chevy or a Ford. They are finally offering some good cars but are they too late?

What about taxing green cars more and more so it evens the playing field with the gas only bigger cars?
It's about greed.

Big companies like Walmart?
The first thing they do with new employees is show them how to apply for welfare.

I m always concerned about wall street, the most corrupt entity on the face of the earth!!! I am not nearly as concerned about trade wars, trump is a businessman, that is what he does best-negotiations.....

There's a lot more to negotiating with sovereign countries. It's a whole different ballgame. You can't just file bankruptcy and make the bad stuff go away.....

I'm a truck guy and would rather have a chevy el Comino than a damn jap truck. They still have rickshaws over there and I'm still pissed about Pearl Harbor.

but...if you are negotiating trade deals, doesn't it make more sense to have someone experienced at negotiations in charge rather than a career politician? bankruptcy is a tool that trump took advantage of, don't we want the person negotiating our trade deals to use every tool in the toolbox?

I can appreciate his business experience, but I don't like business people in general. They don't look at the big picture beyond their own interests in my experience.

What scares me is the international community finding humanitarian issues with Trumps agenda to build a wall, deport undocumented immigrants, etc...

I could see our exports shrinking

the reason green cars have not caught on is because many if not most americans 35 and older still have a love affair with gas hogs, retro cars are very popular. I think the younger generation is going to change this-give it 10 years!!!

I think you're dead on there!

My dream car is a 1970 Barracuda Hemi ;)

what is funny is the Mexicans have a wall on their southern border, lol.....as far as the international community, they are wallowing in misery over the influx of immigrants in Europe--you know what they say about misery!!!

I think other countries should deport all the US citizens back to the US.
Aren't we some imperial empire? Or maybe we should just withdraw all of the troops and bases all over the world?
Of course "Take the Oil" or "Insert Payola" here for being there as per Trump.

He's a war criminal in the making.

PS: While we are on cars. My dream cars / truck.
Old Ford Pickup - I used to have an F150 when I was a Carpenter's Assistant.

Nobody should be taxed/punished for productive behavior, it's immoral.

lol...if it is true that mexico doesn't have a southern border then maybe we should build one for them, and make mexico pay for it, lol.

Mexico is building their own wall at Guatemala I believe. That government is a bunch of hyposhyts.

It will be a humanitarian issue here if we don't enforce immigration, this country is broke and Americans want our government to take care of legal Americans for a change.

So you guys are living in the past. The terror threat has changed significantly in the last 15 years. It's not hard to see all of the ISIS leaders that have repeatedly said they are infiltrating the "refugee" populations to spread their soldiers to other countries.

The problem is corporatism, not capatalism. People understand capatalism as being the system in its current state which is not the case here.

get a grip and put things in perspective...sure we had immigrants committing horrible crimes in our past...but where were the sanctuary cities? can you imagine if cities said they were going to provide safe haven to immigrant criminals in those days--I can't!!!

in your efforts to delegitimize trump you are just looking like another Madonna or Ashley judd, just another nasty woman, lol.

Pot meet kettle......

Let's talk Keystone XL Pipeline:

1. Foreign Company
2. Steel for the pipe already bought from Russia and India, Not US Steel Companies
3. Some work for US workers...
4. The oil will be exported
5. The pipe is questionable in quality.

Not to mention that the market is moving towards alternative energy already..... With or without the dinosaurs (pun intended).
