Not saying MAN is a bad company at all. But pretty much from the write up on stack3ed, it seemed like they were picked #1 because they put out a sh*tload of products. I'll take quality over quantity any day of the week though.
 
In all fairness, they probably have more products that appeal to the average bro who walks into a supp store looking for protein powder and BCAAs.

But as far as innovation goes, there is no contest. No other company is touching us. :cool:

Despite me having a bad experience with OL customer service I honestly believe they deserve to be at least #2. The only missing thing from their line up is protein. Seems like that's what Stack3d was looking for the #1 spot - company that covered all the basics and more.

I believe a protein powder, multi, gda or sleep supplement are all things we could possibly see from OL in the near future

Based on their giving MAN the win, I'd be inclined to agree. We really aren't aiming to be a run-of-the-mill "covering the basics" kind of company though. There are enough of those options on the market already, and we'd rather spend our resources innovating. We do, of course, have our Essentials Series, but I'd hardly call the OL Essentials Series the "basics."

Another post of yours that I'm on total agreement with. The thing that attracts me and I'm sure many others to OL is the innovation you guys put into your products. Why make clones of other products when you can be at the forefront with products that contain novel ingredient and give people the results they're seeking.

I voted for the GDA, next on my list would be a sleep aid. I like the idea of a protein with transparent label but I dont feel like that is something OL feels like getting into at the moment with their priority being innovation. I could very well be wrong but based on what I've read from all their reps, that is the conclusion I came to.

Honestly my #1 at the very moment though is Endur3/Endur3+ in new flavors lol. Assassinate has me quite excited as well :)

Yea I don't know if we'll ever see a protein from OL..with so many options out there it may not even make sense

It wouldn't, unless they could are unique with it, use it to be a one stop shop, or loss lead with it.
 
Not to derail the topic but a few weeks ago I emailed stack3d and spoke with "Shane" about the certified protein program and they said it was about $1,000 to get the tests done, the company pays for it.

Now I am absolutely perplexed as to why more have not participated (he said no protein has failed the testing) $1,000 is chump change to most of these companies and it's an incredibly small price to pay for that kind of publicity and status of being on such an "elite" list.

Am I missing something or is there really that much of a lack of confidence and quality out there? The $1,000 would bexpect made back in no time if they got "Stack3d Certified"
 
Folks, I've easily spent over 1k on your products and will continue to support the brand because of the scientific approach that you take...

But let's be serious, you can't be #1 with flavoring as bad as it is on so many products.

Please invest in this aspect. My testicles feel no bigger by having to "chug" my shakes to avoid puking.

certain ingredients are incredibly hard to mask, which is why some companies formulate around what they can readily flavour at a cost of reduced product potential.

OL care more about results than flavoring ;)

But yeah, it is a huge buying factor when it works great but also tastes great, but those two rarely coincide lol

Right, some raws are just gnarly tasting and very hard to mask. But efficacy > taste, all day every day.

Our flavoring systems have gotten much better though, recently!

No getting around the fact that ppl like good tasting drinks. I promise you that we have taken taste of the new products very seriously but no performance has been sacrificed

Hmmm...what I didn't see on the poll on FB was "Protein bars"...now, you can say the market is filled with bars....it's filled with a lot of BAD tasting bars is what it is.

I'm still throwing my hat in on OL coming out with a Multi-V....things like GDA's, Sleep formulas, etc. are a niche, not everyone uses them...everyone uses a Multi-V, could be epic with the formulators at OL to come out with something to compete with or dethrone Orange Triad. Just my .02

You make a very good point here, but there needs to be an attempt to keep the cost below that of Orange Triad, I find it to be ridiculous, but that's my opinion. A multi would be awesome and I'm sure the OL formulators would be able to throw their own "Ep1c" spin on it

In reference to the "niche" products though, that's the majority of the OL line but they're typically one of, if not the best in any given class
