2016 NFL Thread

I don't think David Johnson gets the love that he deserves league wide. Dude is a stud. Id rather have him or leveon on my team over any other rbs hands down.

You know what I wonder? How does a receiver hold a defenders facemask and then have the defender get called for PI?

Plus, when did it become a penalty to tackle a RB before the whistle is blown?

Things that make you go hmmmmm.

The officiating this year is the worst it's been since the replacement reffs

Agree with this statement. Guy had a great year running the ball.
Personally I love bell . I am biased as a steeler fan, but in reality there are some names out there that deserve recognition

Jay Ajayi - Ran for over 1200 yards this year.. While he plays on a weak miami team, he is a good back
Golden Tate - 1000 yards For the Lions.
Jordy Nelson - 1200 recieving yards this year after the knee injury last year.
Brandin Cooks - 1150 Yards on a Saints team. Brees #1 target
Mike Evans - 1250 Yards, Almost matching OBJ

By Golden Tate I'm guessing you mean Will Fuller.

Johnson has MVP numbers. So does Landon Collins. Neither will get MVP tho.

No just accepted they were mediocre it happens. No team stays on top constantly. Patriots will suck again one day. Philly just has always.

^^ Agree with bottom statement.

Tate.. Had a great year. and 1000 yards for the Lions.

Fuller only had 600 yards this year.. Give him some time, and a Decent QB. Houston has great Receivers. They just need a QB to throw them the ball.

Love my ND Boys! good to see them making some noise in the NFL!
Eager to see where DeShone Kizer may go.....

Yea they are the two of the best ever in their position. But that franchise blew before they arrived and when they both leave they will again.

Ah.. equated "even coming out of college" to rookie. Tate was better last year and up and down this year, but really turned it on after being benched this season. Stafford didn't suffer too much with Johnson being gone.

Johnson's numbers rival 1997 Barry Sanders number and Collins year exceeds Ed Reed's MVP season.

Philly since 2000: 158-112-1
Dallas since 2000: 141-130

I don't know about you, but those number show me that one of those teams had more wins and fewer losses in the same 17 season span (including this one).

You're right though, Philly has always sucked. That must mean the Cowboys have sucked even more than Philly though.

Tough year for Dez injured the majority of the year. But last night was strong. Should help for the push to win 51.
Were his hands injured? That would explain his abysmal catch rate.

The franchise had four playoff appearances in Bledsoes seven year career there. Must not have blew that much.

5 Super Bowl wins 8 appearances. Philly has how many ???????

Shifting the goalpost I see.

You said "Philly has always sucked." Those records for the last 17 years say Dallas has sucked more than Philly. I was 3 years old the last time the Cowboys were in a Superbowl. Through my lifetime, Philly has won more games, lost fewer games, and been to more playoffs than your Cowboys.

No superbowls is how we have always measured success in the metroplex. Until you tasted success you never appreciate it similar in life.

Okay then the Giants have two Super Bowls in the last twenty years to your zero.

Rebuttal.

Gotta live way back to remember that. Must feel good to know the last time you "tasted success" was when people still used beepers.

I also notice you only live in the past when it suits you. You were the same guy who wanted to scrub your teams 2-14 season from the record because it made you guys look worse than Chip, right?

This just in Philly has always sucked, except for that 17 year period where they have been categorically better than the Cowboys.

Breaking news from Dallas: Dallas hasn't been better than Philly since the salary cap was implemented.

Eagles vs. Cowboys since 2000:

Eagles have more wins, fewer losses, more playoff appearances, more playoff wins, more division titles, more conference championship appearances, more conference championship wins, more Superbowl appearances, etc.

Chip blows in San Fran also wake up. 2-14 played four QBs chip played NF and SB. Both better than the scrubs we had last year. Chip is better suited for the college game he had yet to try and adapt. He could make more money in college not sure why he continues to fail and not try to change his approach.

Football is like that. I mean Marino never one the big one and is looked down for it.
Marino is considered to be one of the top 5 greatest QBs to ever play football. If you are dumb enough to look down on him, it says way more about you than it says about him or anyone else.

Not trying to be a dick but this is the 1st time in a long time that Dallas has been relevant in Superbowl talk in a LONG time. That is his point Dallas USED to be good not so much recently besides this season and this season isn't a given for a Superbowl there definitely some teams that can knock you off before you get there

Who do you have for MVP?

I do think the salary cap is dumb tho. Look at baseball money does NOT win Championships.

I can't think of any reason why Dak should get it over Elliot.

Even more, I can't think of a reason why either of them should get it over Ryan.

I would've said Carr if he hadn't gotten hurt.
My thoughts to but I think dak and Zeke are on the same level but oh well
