Look Factshyt was funded Walter J. Annenberg and The Annenberg Foundation and then taken over by Bill Ayers after he past away where Billy and Obama crossed paths through the Annenberg Foundation for the Chicago Annenberg Challenge Project.

If you think Factshyt is your unbiased truther bible, dont think people see that as ridiculous.

Not picking on you because I don't think there is a non-biased news source on either side, but isn't this the exact same thing you were accusing them of? If there is a good news source that has little bias (near impossible to have no bias), somebody please let me know.

It may have been funded by the Annenburg Foundation, but it wasn't launched until 2003. Annenberg died in 2002.

Bill Ayers never ran Factcheck.org.

I never said that, but the ridiculous claims that get bounced around in here at times are maddening. I mean, seriously off the wall stuff with no basis in reality.

As the video says, these "alt-news" sites don't lose funding or jobs over false stories. The Brian Williams thing is a good example of that. They're held to a higher standard than something like InfoWars (IMO the most ridiculous "news" site out there, founded solely to peddle Alex Jones' patented products).

If you at least look for primary sources for things you can remain skeptical about everything you read. That's what I, in fact, try to do. Bias is inevitable, yes, but at least try.

I MAY have overstepped my bounds in here earlier, but not any more than anyone else IMO. I mean there's a mod in here not exactly acting "mod-like" IMO.

Didnt mention how CNN, Fox, MSNBC along with all other mainstream media are entitled by law to let the CIA infiltrate propaganda to brainwash the masses. I think thats is a FAR bigger issue that whatever he thinks infowars is about.
 
I guess what I'm trying to say, and it doesn't come through well via a message board, is that I really hope for the best for this country. I just get super irritated at things I can't control at times, I suppose. I see mistruths as being one of those things.

I'm a helluva a lot more reasonable in person, LOL.

Lets consider that you don't determine what I'm supposed to act like. I moderate board rules violations and or illegal postings. I don't referee grown men disagreeing in some verbal spats that make them BOTH look stupid. You don't need to treat me any different (you certainly don't) than any other member and don't expect any different - both within reason. I'm a member first and foremost and contribute as such.

I get to "enjoy" the Dad that I wished I had in my life when I was younger and not be able to reconcile the passed because of his dementia. I asked only to have a Dad around to love and share my life with. That's what I got. To love without conditions...

Respect to you sir. My mother just recently declined significantly, but I was lucky enough to make some peace with her and my sister before it was too late. Now I help care for her as she did when I was a small child, although my wife bears the heaviest burden and I am lucky to have her.

Thankfully my father is still in good health, and I hope to make amends before it is too late. I have realized as of late that life is far too short to hold grudges from the past.

Good health and good wishes to you all over the holidays, let's hope that our country can come through this turmoil stronger and more united. As I said before, I'm willing to give it a chance.

I hope you can gain a closer relationship with your family. Sometimes I feel like I'm in the minority that my parents were married for 40 years till the day he suddenly died from a treatable blood clot. I had a great childhood, my parents had rules that my brother and I didn't like, and we terrorized our older sister. But the only family drama in our house that we saw was my parents fighting over letting us go on a band trip in 9th grade and then my sister telling our parents she was pregnant after her first year of college. I don't know what it's like to have a messed up household or parents but have seen other parts of our family go through it. It sucks watching it so I know it has to be worse to be in it. I truly wish you well, even though your politics are flawed. :) :) :) My parents have always told us it's not worth holding grudges and my mom just prays that we can get along when she is gone.

PS, my sister is a raging lib and I have had similar "discussions" on facebook posts with her, which is absurd. Just like when we were kids. But she can call at any time day or night and if I am in the same town she can count on me to be there.

I've made it a personal mission to not let that happen to my son.

I think sometimes we let politics get in the way of relating to each other as human beings.

my dad died when I was 8 months old...when I had my own children that was the driving force for me to be the dad I never had.

That had to be difficult. My father and mother divorced when I was eight, and my father worked tons of hours at the time.

I vowed that I would not let my son grow up without me being there for him, one of the reasons I started lifting as well.

No need, the Mexicans already are at more liberty to cross the border than US Citizens, lol No need for them to get molested by TSA, have ID documents, get zapped with cancer scanners and have their naked private body parts stored in a database, or even get told to turn back if they have cute little red spots all over their face.

It's sad. I'm pretty easy going but one of my collegues was blasted by a muslim lady for filming her friends in a swimming pool with her around. She said that because she was without her "hood", that filming around her was disrespectful and she must remove the video from her phone and went up to her and tried to get her to delete the video with this lady hanging over her shoulder.
I find that so odd.

when I was in the navy I always went by--when in rome do as the romans...I visited 42 different countries and tried to soak up the different cultures of the places I went, and when I lived in the philipines I went 'native' ate their food and learned their language[tagalog]. I am afraid [MANY] refugees are not willing to assimilate.
