My keto diet was typically this:

Breakfast: 3 egg whites 1 egg omelet with reduced fat cheddar and sautéed peppers and onions: 327 kcals 29pro, 8carbs, 20 fat

Post workout meal: whey 130 kcals 25p, 3c, 1.5 fat

Lunch: 1 can of king Oscar sardines, 30 almonds 388 kcals, 21 p, 7c, 36 fat

Dinner: 8 oz grilled chicken breast, 30g sliced kalamata olives, 1/4 cup sliced onions, 4 cups raw baby spinach, 1 cup raw baby kale, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese 694 kcals, 62p, 18c, 41 fat

Before bed: 1 scoop casein 2 tbsp peanut butter 320 kcals, 32p, 11c, 18f

Totals: 1859 kcals, 168 protein, 48 carbs, 117 fat

I ate like that almost everyday for 6-8wks with 1 cheat meal/wk.

I honestly love doing it, kicking in doors, cutting roofs, fighting fire, but HATE the thought of peoples loss. I always want a huge fire in an abandoned building, but so many firefighters in Detroit have been killed fighting those because they feel squatters are living in them. Its a loss either way
 
Almonds are doable, fish is sketchy. Im really picky about it and not many people meet my standards. But I do love Tuna. So at 220lbs, what should I keep the protein intake at? I was just reading a 154lb person should attempt to keep protein intake around 70g. That seems low ultimately, but this will be new to me.

Yes, protein can kick you out of ketosis. If you are going on a keto diet, you should probably bump calories up a little bit, focus more on fats (coconut oil is awesome for this), and be ready to lighten up on the protein if you can't get into ketosis. I wouldn't drop protein myself though unless I had to.

Wow. Looks interesting. Will have to look further into it, but seems legitimate to me....but no olives for this man.

Dam that really looks like a clean diet! I could not get the sardines down! Nasty!

My neighbor from Vietnam grills rats !

in Thailand they place a piece of rotten meat in a closed box and drill small holes in it...then they bury the box.... maggots get in the holes and eat the meat then are too fat to get back thru the holes...the maggots then proceed to eat each other until you have one big assed maggot...DINNER TIME!!!:food:

Im going to google this . My uncle was in the tet offensive. He said they buried the pow up to their necks and dumped sugar on them . NAM was seriously gross.

Yes sir! BCAAs are a must. Have a ton of Modern BCAAs, and both Modern and Gaspari precision protein that I drink immediately after lifts.

Then you have solved your issue. IMO, think you need BARE MINIMUM your bodyweight in grams of protein. Particularly in a cut or recomp where you are trying to maintain or even accrue muscle mass. I would shoot for more than that. If you don't have a meal about 4 hours before you train, you can do a scoop of BCAAs pre, an EAA mix during, and your protein after. You'll use fat for energy and protect your muscle and keep it from being broken down and used

Im looking at the keto thing now. I actually found a high protein keto diet, and I like it. Fat needs to burn, but Ive worked hard for what muscle I have built.
