Best fitness wearable for late 2016?

First, let me say that I love my Microsoft Band 2. Comfortable and quite accurate. It includes a ton of sensors, including galvanic skin response and skin temp, which is why I think it's likely more accurate than most when it comes to calories burned. The app/website are also great for looking back and comparing training sessions.

The problem is I had the band tear once, replaced under warranty. Now my replacement is starting to tear in exactly the same spot.

So what's the next best thing? I'd like for accurate heart rate and calories burned. Don't really care how many steps I take. But I would like for it to last more than 6 months. :)

I guess no one wants to track their workouts. Must be a bunch of wussies on AM who are afriad to know how weak their workout game is. :D

The Samsung one looks flashier. But the simpler look of the UA band + a $40 coupon for UA.com has me leaning that direction...

UA always seems to be good stuff. I was eying one earlier in the year, if Incan find it Ill send you a link. Im also thinking my wife may have bought me one for Christmas, so i cant get one yet

Played around with the G2 while my wife was getting her phone looked at. Looked nice and ran through the programs fairly easily. My wife has a Fitbit (Charge HR, I think), but I liked the Samsung better the little bit that I messed with it. I'm interested, but haven't convinced myself that it's really something I need.

Thanks! I love my Band 2 but clearly there's a manufacturing defect when the band snaps after 6 months and destroys the whole device. The Samsung is certainly the closest. Just not sure how much less accurate it is since there's no galvanic skin response and skin temp.

I had a Fitbit Charge HR and enjoyed it but the band peeled before i had it for a year. Something that is common it seems.

I went to get an replacement and ended up getting a Fitbit Blaze instead and I'm enjoying it a lot. Of course there still seem to be a lot of problems with them when it comes to tracking weight training and workouts on bikes. But it gives me a better understanding of how my caloric needs change from day to day. And I love the sleep tracking as well.

Apple Watch S2 Waterproof to 50 meters, 99 percent accurate HR compares to the Gold Standard of Chest Straps for HR.
