6 Week Fat Loss Challenge

One of my favorite things to do is take a Rotisserie chicken and pull all the meat off. Put coconut oil in a pan and get it hot, add the pulled chicken and some chopped up jalapenos and cilantro. Add in some cooked brown rice and black beans and you're good to go.

Will be doing this with my meal preps tomorrow!!!

I cant do it all brother!!! You should be proud especially considering a 10 day hiatus!!

I am happy with it. I have never been much of a runner and Beast has got me working on it. I have seen some quick beginner gains in the running, so it excites me.

I think the calorie cycling is working out well. It may not be quite as aggressive, but I'm bringing the weight down and I just weight myself and was 172.5. A lot of times I can lose 2-3 pounds overnight before my morning weigh in as I am full of water and dinner right now. I may be below 170 by tomorrow if I am lucky ...my lowest weight yet is 168.3 and I was pretty depleted. Not feeling depleted at all this time...maybe feeling a little water logged even.

Nice!! After talking about the warrior diet yesterday, Ive been thinking about going back to it again. 7lbs in 5 days and 13 in the first 2 weeks is d@mn good. And its proven to build muscle as well. But I just quit on it, and myself. LOOK WHOS MOTIVATING WHO NOW!!

Hmmmm...You are motivating yourself, and me. I may want to try the warrior diet....might have to hit you up for guidance.

Definitely so if you're interested. Its good stuff. I read a lot about it, but never bought the book. You can actually find a downloadable copy of it. And like I said, it the protocol on it has been been proven to not only burn fat, but build muscle!! What more can you ask for?

That sounds freakin amazing!

Already sold on the warrior diet. But now HIT4ME has me sold on coco oil. Heard about it for years, but I think I'm finally going to buy some now!

I have known about the benefits of coconut oil since 1999.. When was living in the Caribbean a guy that I worked with introduce me to it.. Good Stuff!

Yeah, there is stuff all over the internet about how healthy it is...how it cures diseases, fights dementia and Alzheimer's, you name it. Some is over blown, but...from my personal use it seems to be good for body composition. The theory is that is causes your body to burn more fat, improves cholesterol ratios, gives energy and fights hunger.

People use it in "Bulletproof coffee" and love it

I tend to shy away from things that people claim cure all kinds of crap. Kinda makes it hard to believe. But you pushed me over the edge bro. Thanks :)

Coconut Water is far better for hydration than water is. As a matter of fact, it is almost exactly the consistency of our blood's plasma and during WWII in the Pacific it was used for a substitute when plasma was low.

dude iam going to take u to my house and make you tell me all of the useful facts in your brain !!!!

Haha, I am actually the SAME way. There is so much out there that people just run with and say all kinds of things about. I'm not sold that coconut oil is the cure to everything, but what it does have going for it is that the fat in coconut oil is mostly comprised of Lauric and Caprylic acid. The only two sources of lauric acid that I am aware of are coconut and palm oil. Both acids are MCTs and have health benefits, but lauric acid has benefits that are extremely unique - including (maybe) antibiotic activities.

Given the fact MCTs can feed the brain in the absence of carbohydrate, people with impaired carbohydrate utilization (like Alzheimer's and Dementia) may see improved brain function from MCTs. Far from a cure, but maybe nutritionally helpful.

I think it boils down to the fact that nutrition is often misunderstood and we don't REALLY give it the credit it deserves for underlying diseases (maybe because we barely understand it at all from this angle). Fish oils have all sorts of proposed benefits, certain amino acids, etc. - but what I think it comes down to is, if you need something and you lack it, your body will have to use an alternative pathway to accomplish whatever goal that substance helps with, and those pathways, over time, break down - so making sure you get varied nutrition over time so that your body can accomplish what it needs over time, can have enormous health consequences.

But beyond all the hoopla, it is simply great for a small energy bump and for decreasing hunger. And you can buy MCT oil supplements, but they are usually just caprylic acid from coconut oil and lack the lauric acid, and the supplements are more expensive.

HIT4ME is a peer pressure bully

Come on man, try some coconut oil, everyone is doing it!

Not to call you out on the benefits of coconut, since I just spewed a bunch of stuff that could be questioned as well - but do you have any proof/studies of this? It would be interesting.

For the record, here's one company point of view on why the capsules of coconut oil are no good - Invalid Link Removed

Been following those guys for years... Just never pulled the trigger.

Dead on. Pills are a waste of money. Might as well try to put chicken in capsules and then take capsules to get the benefits of chicken.

Oh, I don't expect you would post references to everything you say - I just wanted to learn more because I'm a natural skeptic and I was interested in details. I've said a lot above without posting a single reference, I'm suprised you dug them up that fast, thank you!

I am glad I mentioned that diet to you. Good to see you taking, ummm, my advice :)

Today is my high calorie day, and I've had about 450 calories so far. Tonight, I'm having homemade hibachi rice and shrimp - should be about 1300 calories there, and I will probably allow myself a small dessert. Although, my gf just made the rice, and I'm not sure I can even eat all that was made....

Im so glad you "recommend" it to me. Didnt do the eggs, but 1.8lbs of chicken(in coconut oil) and entire bag of steam in bag broccoli, an Isolate shake with Vanilla unsweetened almond milk with 2tbs of PB2. Total macros of 1,632 calories, 244 protein, 38 carbs and 55 fat. Not bad in my opinion. Plus an absolutely brutal shoulder day this morning that I really didnt track after only 3 hours of sleep.

I giggle every time we go there.
Just so happened to be down there and boom! Got my BJ's on and hauled away a fine jar of coconut oil!

Sadly on the way home I75 came to a dead stop. Noticed blue lights. Then saw the smoke. Someone plowed the overpass support. We got there just as first responders did. Sat there watching for about 25 minutes as 3 fire trucks, ems, and a ton of cops showed up. The SUV went up in big ol flames. Once we actually were able to move again and drove by it. Horrific. Man. Doubt the driver survived. Dunno how y'all deal with that every day, FireTitan. Props to you and thank you for all you do, brother.

That is pretty good bud. Don't know how in the hell you do carbs that low.....haha

Would just like to point out - if people at work are pissing me off, it does NOT mean that it's my fault just because I'm on a diet - people just piss me off even when I'm not on a diet .....don't blame it on my diet - take responsibility for being an a**hole!

Done.
Thanks
