6 Week Fat Loss Challenge

Exactly my point. I hate to hear everyone tou care about is so bad off, but it should, and is motivating you to not be in that statistic.

Well, my grandmother is 90...she could be much worse. She is still mentally capable. My dad isn't so bad, he could turn it around, I feel bad because he can't find his motivation ...it will get harder and harder. Thanks for saying that though

Yeah man!! You know Im always good for an ear if you need it

No workout today guys. Had a long night at the station last night, and after getting home, taking care of a few things around the house,I finally got to sleep around 1pm. 3 hours later I was up and now at EMS for 12 hours. My legs? Yeah, trying to retire on me after what I did to them yesterday. New food protocol starting tomorrow. Chicken breasts, eggs, Isolate protein and no more than 2 cups of white rice a day. Should be pretty intense

Sounds like this train is rolling and it just keeps building momentum!

Nice sounds like about what I started eating this past week ... how long are you planning on eating that like that for ?

Machine he is. However I happen to agree with both of you. One guys "half @ss" attempt at a workout is another mans "just what I needed". I know people that feel under the weather and take a break in order to get their body back to 100%, but I also know guys that feel under the weather, and go bust out the craziness in the gym because it refreshes them. Im proud of both of you, and you both motivate me to be better.
Agreed. I'm one who actually feels so much better when I workout sick. I swear it makes me recover faster too. I remember probably 8 years ago now. I had the flu and sore throat. Grabbed the chloraseptic and took a shot. Hit play on my P90X and got to business. Had to keep spraying my throat due to the pain all the heavy breathing was creating. But weak body and all, I killed it. Next day, I was almost 100%. After that day, I remind myself of it when I feel sick and want to skip.

Yes I am, and Its starting to show in the gym. Well worth it if the fat comes off, but the strength is diminishing
Are you doing low carb AND low fat? I tried that and had zero strength so I added the fat back in and am ok.....I know it'll take me longer, but I can't stand feeling like a zombie.....

Right now only fat is from chicken wggs and protein. Less than 60-70 a day, and less than 60 carbs

I had a meeting yesterday... I hate meetings. Done by 10:00p - Home and in bed by 11:00p, up by 2:10a because they aren't going to ruin my workout!

Pre workout routine
- Coffee
- Pre (Powermax XT)
- Fasted, I'll eat after

A few notes:

I feel surprisingly chipper this morning and full of piss, so I'd better go pee...

(Back)
More than a few people at work have been commenting on my body change, and asking me questions on what I'm doing. One of them may be joining us on AM because 1. He's cool 2. I think he needs a bit of support 3. He wants to get better (Not in any particular order)

Cannot wait to see my brother soon (November 18-21 Chicago!)

Today, Chest / Arms

Some notes:
*Some moron tied up both flat benches so I improvised instead of attempting to interact with him. He was on the other side of the gym talking about politics and I could hear him even with my headphones on... I think he lives there. I think I feel sorry for him. He's there way before I get there, and there after I leave. If it weren't for his constant banging of weights, and poor taste in what he talks about, and had an idea of what he was doing, I might converse with him. Nope. :D

Breakfast
Whey Protein Hydro Isolate
Continue drinking Finish Line (1 scoop in a 1 liter bottle of water)

Lunch
2 cans of Tuna with some Mayo on Melba Toast because I like that sh1t. :)
2 fried green tomatoes my girl made yesterday and saved for me with some rumalade (sp) I don't know how to spell it but I'm sure it's good.

Dinner
Always a surprise

I enter my first day on these hallowed grounds at a bloated out 267 lbs - it can only get better from here!
Protein and coconut oil shakes for me all day till dinner.

I was doing a PSMF - which technically is low carb AND low fat, but I've modified my approach this go around to something much less extreme. Doesn't seem to be working so well, but my first week I barely had time to workout at all and also had an injury...so I have to give it more time to say if this calorie cycling thing is going to work out. One of the first things I did to increase my calories though, was to add in 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil on my medium and high-calorie days. I don't know what it is, but the coconut oil, for some reason, does actually seem to help me lose fat more quickly. It's also great for satiety and energy. Great stuff.

Coconut oil got me past alot of tough food standoffs - a tsp will just oliberate gnawing hunger and food cravings for me .....sometimes....

Brother. I don't want to hear you even talking about failing when you have barely even started. I want you to get in the best shape of your life. I expect a lot from you. I know you will deliver.

Yeah boyyyyy im in it to win it.

Pretty decent first day - pretty much what I'm used to. Just made the mistake of cutting out ALL stims AND coffee.....methinks I'm gonna stick with a cup or 2 of coffee. Other than that - macros (and cals) on point. Had a solid chest workout today.....I even remembered to warm up! :) Won't weigh myself till morning; by then I hope at least a few lbs of this annoying bloat will be gone.

Ha! Without touching your tongue. Reminds me of my battle with BRITE. Try to get that pump angled just right. No matter what I do, I still taste minty cardboard after. :)

Maybe we need a tube to put down our throats for bypassing the taste buds.

And SFreed... Yes, I said tube down our throats. :)

Seriously bro, one should never drop coffee. It's the beverage of life!

That is a great idea! I love coconut oil. I guess ingesting might be good too. :)

Nice work there bro!

Up at 2:30 every day. I just bounce up. It's like Groundhog Day with me. Weird.

Edit: it could also be partly due to some of my supps. Ashwagandha, Organic Maca, etc.

Felt surprisingly aggressive at the gym. PR day for tri push down. 200 lbs 4, 2,2. I usually crash early. 8-9p but that night 11p.

Consistency my man. Your body still needs that rest. Plus. If I can power nap I will. 10-15 min rest. I can usually get to sleep in about a minute. It's weird. The nightly milk casein protein helps a little.

Weight Starting Log: 211
Time Elapsed: ~4 Weeks, 1 Day
Today's Weight (Non-Dry): 204.2

I've got some water retention due to some extra salty food I've been eating, but the weight loss is going great. Strength is staying consistent.

Yeah, skipping the coffee was just a tad too paranoid......

Coffee increases Peptide YY in your gut, which makes it one of the best appetite suppressant you can use. Ironically, decaffeinated coffee may actually increase this effect vs. regular coffee.
