So? You also said "I don't get why being smart enough to know how a system legally works is a bad thing.". He doesn't, his lawyers and accountants do. I'm making that clear again for everyone. "Trump" & "smart" do not belong in the same sentence. The system wasn't 'legally' meant to be used that way anyhow. His accountants and lawyers are using any loophole, tricks, and/or illegal ways to CHEAT the system.

We don't know what he's done. He could very easily be illegally embezzling money for all we know. He's most likely got several offshore accounts he's been hiding money in. People who pay no taxes are very likely doing so illegally, not just with a few loopholes. Think about how much money he earns, and how much he should be paying. I don't think a few loopholes will make his taxes vanish. This is why he's audited year after year. Guy is a crook.

Well if thats what he did he will be in jail thats what audits are for! If he did anything illegal we WILL know, when they come out.

While it is true that Trump likely isn't the one exploiting these loopholes (it is probably his lawyers and accountants), I don't understand how people say that he isn't smart. Yeah, he can be very abrasive, doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut (which frequently results in him saying stupid things), has a massive ego, etc, but he has done pretty well for himself (yes, he did start off with money, but he has made quite a bit more money; much more than he owes). I get that you don't like him and think he's a scumbag who takes advantage of people to make money, but I don't see how you're saying that he's somehow not smart. Yeah, maybe if he knew when to shut up he'd be ahead in the polls, but I wouldn't say that he's unintelligent, and I'm curious to know why you think he is. He can be sleezy/shady/douchey and still be intelligent and/or good at making money.

depends how good his lawyers/accountants and bribes are I guess. He's got years of experience and has been born into this world. An audit doesn't mean anything if he's covered his trails.

He's also pretty damn good at self-promotion, haha. He did graduate from Pennsylvania (an Ivy League school) with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and anthropology, so I think it's safe to say that while he may not be a genius, he's not unintelligent (unless you're going to say he bribed his way though school as well). I think you're letting your hatred of him cloud your judgement just a little bit.

Of course it was meant to be used that way. The people that created it and voted for it set it up exactly as they wanted it.

Just like Obamacare was written exactly how they wanted it to be. They knew it would never work as they claimed, and would have to swoop in and have the government save the day. Hopefully in their minds with full on single payer healthcare.

Plenty of famous rich people have gone to jail for tax evasion. Funny if Trump hasn't payed what he owes, why has the IRS never filed any sort of complaint and him testifying in a federal court over it?

Have you never heard him speak? I know plenty of unintelligent people who got through school just with lots and lots of hard work. And yes, you actually do need to buy your way into Ivy League schools in the states. Everything here is based off who's going to pay you the most. Unlike countries like Canada who admit students into Ivy League schools based off grades alone, as it should be. They cost the same as most other schools for the most part up there.

You can buy your way in, but you still need to pass the classes to graduate. I'm not saying he's a genius, but I wouldn't say he's unintelligent either.

The general consensus I've read is that while he's nowhere near the 150+ IQ genius he claims to be, he still probably has an above average IQ, and is more educated than your average person as well.

Like I said, that still doesn't make him smart does it.

And again, I know plenty of people, personally, who had to work extremely hard just to get through. I know lots of hard workers who did not have natural smarts to them, and they all got through university.

So he graduated from a prestigious school and has made a ton of money, but he's an unintelligent idiot, got it. As I said (edited), the general consensus from many articles I've read (many of them written by people who really don't like, and even mock, the man) estimate that while his IQ is nowhere near the 156 mark he claims, it is likely in the 120-130 range.

Are you under the impression that the President does the job all by himself? You need to know who to hire to do specific jobs and he obviously did that for his taxes. Can you support your statement about the system not being meant to be used that way? Is that just your opinion or do you have some sort of information that you help us out with?

How many people do you know who have attended an Ivy League school? I know a lot and not a single one of them had the means to buy their way in. Where the hell are you getting this information?

If you come from a prestigious and very wealthy family (VERY wealthy) you may get the nod over someone with very similar grades/scores, but you still need to meet the requirements, which are decent. Hell, I know some very wealthy people who couldn't even get into the state schools (non-Ivy League) here in Florida because they couldn't meet the minimum GPA/SAT requirements.

They're both horrible people that the world would be better off without. All day though I've seen several articles that claim he's just not paying his taxes or evading them, which isn't true from what we know so far. The Clintons have had several investigations into their finances as well. I hate having to defend him lol

I'm not saying that it doesn't happen. I've met and taught med students who went to all kinds of prep school and high schools that cost more than what I paid at a private college, so yes, those students are out there, but it's nowhere near every single one like he was claiming.

I agree; what I was trying to say is that you can't get into Harvard with a 2.0 GPA just because your parents are loaded. Bush said a lot of stupid things and wasn't the best speaker either, but he wasn't unintelligent, despite what many people will tell you.

Well i was reading on huffpo and msn so both biased towards hillary, and they sound it may have seemed like a lose for trump; but that it really wasnt. The reason they gave was that trump did exactly what everyone knew he would. Meaning his followers stayed. However, hillary lost supporters due to how she stooped down to his level even though she said she wouldnt.

I'm not really sure he "got ****in wrecked" though, when you put it in perspective. I don't think he lost any supporters, and he, somewhat surprisingly, didn't go crazy and/or say anything too stupid/offensive that could really hurt him or be used against him. As crazy as it sounds, considering what he's said in the past, not saying something incredibly offensive/stupid is almost a win when it comes to a Trump speech. I do think he missed some opportunities to go after Hillary on some things, but I don't think either of them really "wrecked" the other, at least in regards to gaining potential support/voters, but we'll see how the other debates go.
