With work, my only option is to workout at night around 6-7pm.. however I can't sleep whenever I do this even though I'm not taking anything stimulating since 8am.. my heart just races and I lay in bed wide awake? Tried melatonin ltrytophan l theanine magnesium and nothing helps.. is it my blood pressure going up or cortisol increasing?? This is killing me!!

Have you tried meditation? Breathing exercises? Amazing what 20 minutes of real, deep relaxation can do.

It sucks but try taking a cold bath/shower to get your adrenaline down, I use those after late night hockey games otherwise I'm up all night.

This is what I used to do too. A cold or cool shower after a sports event or lifting, lights in my room dimmed and no TV/computer after I would get out of the shower. I would look into Ashwagandha too, which can help reduce stress and improve sleep quality

All are really good suggestions. After you get out of the shower don't watch tv or anything. Take some benadryl if you need to.

Is it an adrenaline thing? Any supp that could help the underlying cause? Don't want to be dependent on Benadryl.. can't aswagandha stimulate you?

Oh man the best workouts in my life were done 9-11pm. With full stimulants. At 11.30 I was dead sleeping. How? At that time I was up at 4.30am every morning

What supplements are you taking? And ashwagandha is more sedating/ anxiolytic than anything. I find KSM 66 to be sedating (I get it from Erase pro +). Like others said, look into also improving your sleep hygiene

I use pre-jym at 7:30 pm wk out at 8 pm. Around 10:30pm I take bulk l- dopa, 750 mg ksm 66, 400 mg valerian root and 6mg melatonin and I'm OUT!

Yeah. KSM-66 with half dose of Growth Factor XT is sweeeeeeeeeet.

OP, as others have asked you need to evaluate what is on your mind when you go to bed

How long have you been working out this late? I've worked out early mornings, mid afternoons, and late nights, and my advice is just stick with it and your body will adapt.

You will get used to it eventually once you get in the routine..all good advice I take a melatonin, zinc/mag, and a Tylenol pm or allergy pill to help get the ball rolling

How long are your training sessions? You could also try quicker, ore intense training sessions and/or focus on frequency over volume. Higher frequency should result in less gym time, getting you out of there earlier.

Anxiety issues perhaps? So you train at say 630 on average when are you actually going to bed.
MK-677 will help also with great ancillary benefits.
GABA as mentioned is also a good one to try and its cheap if bought in bulk. Work your way up on dosing.

If you train full potato you shouldn't have any issue sleeping or at least i don't.
Another thing you can try is after the weights do HIT cardio work your way up to failure then cool down.

Usually trying to sleep around 11 and do t fall asleep until 2-3.. what is MK-677? I've heard mixed things on ksm-66 for sleep.. I think it may be an anxiety thing since my body is exhausted but mind is wandering

This/\

I recently started doing this and even downloaded some aps for meditation. I was sceptical but it really does help. Puts me in a trance like state for a while and i usually fall sleep in the middle of it.
