Yohimbine with an EC Stack

Hey all,

I've read about using these two but hard to find info on doing these two together. I do fasted cardio in the mornings and sometimes intense workouts in the evening. What is the best way to use these two to maximize fat loss throughout the day? Take them together? Space them out? Also any advice with timing food intake with these? Would really like advice on that. Thanks!
 
E-HCL (a beta receptor agonist) and Y-HCL (an alpha receptor antagonist) can/might (but not definitely) cause problems with blood pressure when taken together. Why? Because heart tissue contains both receptor types too. So you need to test, with a blood pressure monitor, when taking both at the same time. Yohimbine should only be taken when insulin levels are low, so fasted cardio is a perfect time. Ephedrine can be taken any time, up to 3 times a day for a total of 75-90mg (25mgx3 or 30mgx3 - depends on what mg your E dose is). Yohimbine can go as high as 0.2mg per Kg. Start at low doses of each and work up to the max's, monitoring BP along the way.
 
Thanks! So would you recommend taking yohimbine hcl and caffeine in the AM, do cardio then and fast until roughly four hours after I took the yohimbine, then start eating and first dose of ec then four hours after another ec dose and that'll be it for the day? So 6am YC + run + fast, 10 am EC and start on food, 2 PM EC and still eating regularly up until roughly 6 PM, then would still hopefully have pump for a wrestling from EC at 6 PM without bad side effects? Does that type of schedule sound good, with food intake from 10-6, 3 doses total, and fasting rest of time with caloric deficit total for the day? End goal is strong fat/weight loss with decent gain in muscle (by no means wanting to bulk, just add strength). Thanks very much for your help

Yohimbine is really only effective for 15-30 minutes, so the EC is the major reason to space away from food for a few hours; also your schedule sounds good. With yohimbine, you want to try going up slowly with dosing.

Take EC around 10 AM, start eating
Take EC around 2 PM, continue eating, finish daily food in between 5-6 PM, also take protein sometime mid day
Intense workout at 6 PM every other day

Or is there something better that you'd be able to recommend?

The whole point of EC is to avoid it around meals, so taking EC and then eating right after makes it useless

Do you have any suggestions for scheduling it all then? And you're supposed to fast with EC as well? sorry if this is dumb however I greatly appreciate it

Not dumb at all, forums are for asking questions and learning. What I would do is wake up a 6, take ECY, then eat at 10. At 2 or so, take another EC. Then eat later at like 5. You get your daily Y, and the 2 doses of EC in there.

I have to say i like you. You have always helped people without ever making them feel dumb.
 
If using yohimbine, dose it immediately upon waking and do some fasted cardio 20 minutes later.. I take caffeine with it.

I did read an article although I don't no how true it is but to avoid ephedrine when using yohimbine for fasted cardio.

Well here's Lyle McDonalds' explanation, and I've run across it in other areas as well. If it's incorrect, then what can you relay about what happens physiologically when taken together?

Q: (Asks why E + Y together might be dangerous)

A: To understand my answer I need to give a bit of background physiology (I'd note that this is covered in more detail in both my Ultimate Diet 2.0 and the new Stubborn Fat Solution, especially the latter). Hormones such as adrenaline and noradrenaline (aka epinephrine and norepinephrine) have specific receptors in the body which are called adrenoceptors (or adrenoreceptors). When those hormones bind to their receptor, stuff happens (to put it into technical terms).

There are two broad classes of receptor which are beta-receptors and alpha-receptors. Each has several subtypes including beta-1, 2 and 3 and alpha-1 and 2. Adrenoreceptors are found all over the body in various concentrations depending on the tissue.

In fat cells, beta-1,2 receptors are critical for fat mobilization, in the heart, beta-1 receptors are involved heavily in raising heart rate and blood pressure. In fat cells, alpha-2 receptors inhibit lipolysis. In the heart, alpha-2 receptors slow heart rate and blood pressure.

An analogy I've used before is that you can think of the beta-receptors as accelerators, when you activate them, certain processes increase (such as heart rate or fat mobilization). You can think of alpha receptors as a brake, when they are activated, stuff slows down.

Now, ephedrine works both through weak binding to the beta-receptors (which is how it both increases fat mobilization and increases heart rate and blood pressure); it also works by increasing the body's output of adrenaline/noradrenaline (which do the same thing). You can think of this as pushing down the accelerator (to stretch my analogy quite thin).

The other compound you mentioned, yohimbe works as an alpha-2 receptor antagonist, meaning that it blocks the effects of the alpha-2 receptor. You can think of this as taking your foot off the brake. By inhibiting an inhibitor, yohimbe ends up increasing lipolysis and heart rate/blood pressure.

So what happens when you combine ephedrine/caffeine (press the accelerator) with yohimbe (take your foot off the brake)? Well, while this can have some very nice effects on lipolysis, it can also shoot heart rate and blood pressure sky high. Which is why the combination is potentially dangerous and why I generally recommend against it.

And yes I know folks who have used them together. Usually these are folks who run low blood pressure to begin with or who are at the end of a long diet (when nervous system activity is down already). In that situation, the combination of yohimbe/EC may only bring blood pressure up to normal and won't cause a problem. But in folks carrying a lot of fat (where high blood pressure is typically already present), I wouldn't even consider combining the compounds. It shouldn't be necessary in the first place and could be downright dangerous.

As far as Yohimbine dosage, I always state that one should start at 2.5mg and work up. If one takes Caffeine as well, they should notice problems before they get to the 0.2mg/Kg - I'd never recommend going straight to 20mg. Personally, I react well to them all - waiting for my 30mg E, 300mg C, and (yes) 40mg Y to kick in right now :D

Has anyone run ec year round? I run it at 2 doses a day instead of 3 from May to December. I drop it during Jan-April and always manage to put back most of the fat I lost during the ec run REGARDLESS of diet.... Would love to not yoyo simply bc of a supplement. Any thoughts on running it year round (bronkaid). I do have connections to get straight eph hcl if that's better for a year round dosing

I run it almost all the time - used to be EOD before cardio, but recently it's been ED. But I only do 30mg ONCE. When I can remember, I take a 14 day break (but mostly because of the topical Clen just for sh&ts and giggles) - but not often. I'm very tolerant of stimulants though and my normal, resting BP is in the basement (110/65).

I would try to get your pure HCL - I wouldn't be comfortable with all the Guifennisen 24/7/365.

They're G2G when needed - but married for 15 years so you know... :D Now, if I did cardio in Tony Soprano's 'Badda Bing' Club... then I may have a problem :D
