I'm curious to know how old you guys are and how old you were when you saw it. I like the movie, but admit that it probably has a lot to do with seeing it as a child and the experience of seeing it in the theater.

I'm 21 and I probably saw it when I was 7 or 8. Sometime around the high school musical fad.

33, saw it as a kid, always hoped I'd find a treasure map in my attic after watching it... Never did lol

I'm 30 and I saw it when I was 8 or so. Some of my favorite movies are 80s movies, I am all about the cheese factor.

But for some reason, Goonies was never one of those big movies that I just had to watch all the time
 
Gremlins, National Lampoons (Griswold ones, of course), ET, Ghostbusters, Overboard, Stand by Me, Better off Dead, all 80s gold IMO
