Which type of whey protein do you guys like the most? It may be subjective but if you have tried different types like isolate, concentrate, etc which was the "best"

Whey/casein Blend beats all for me.
Natural thickness and it's satiating while not too heavy on my stomach.
More versatile in baking.

And arguably leads to better MPS than whey or casein alone. (Though minor)

Unless you have problems with lactose, or are on poverty macros where even 1g of Carb or Fat matter, go with an 80% Whey Protein Concentrate. The only thing Isolates get you is less cals/carbs/fat... some also say WPC is better due to intact micro-fractions, etc... And like above, there is some good data showing that combining it with Miceller Casein is a good idea.

I'll usually just stick with whey. I use to do whey and then casein before bed and if I was cutting i'd do an isolate. but not I just prefer whey. Blends are great to cause then you get alittle of everything haha

I like your "no frills" approach. This is my view as well. It's easy to get caught up in the hype, but overall it's still protein.

Science has shown that a whey/casein blend is most optimal. That being said, protein consumption is not something to overthink. Using 100% whey vs a whey/casein blend isn't going to change your body composition or hinder gains. Hit your macros every day, that's what matters.
