What supps do you take all year?

Well-known member
So, for me i take a daily:
multi,
ginseng (cycled),
fish oil or flax oil.
Creatine I take all year round, every morning,

on and off:
Test boosters/ai (still unsure why as they just make me angry, no gains)
the odd fat burner/eca here and there
pre workout when needed or use the fat burner
maybe a transdermal product, dhea/dermacrine/Ai/ 7keto /11keto
libido boosting products (muira pauma, maca, hgw etc.)
use crap up in the cupboard (left over supps, vits, herbs, sarm)

What are your staples, relentlessly, on each months shopping list?

Here's my list of staples, short but sweet:

1. Fish oil - for heart health and joint support.
2. Caffeine - energy, appetite suppression, focus.
3. Powermax XT - for all my daily ergogenic staples. Includes creatine, electrolytes, and amentoflavone.
4. Vitamin D - for overall health (reduces fatigue, bone health, etc.)

Those are really my only staple products that I use year round. I cycle everything else that I use, and my list of cycled products is very similar to yours

Probiotic
Fiber pills
Fish oil
Zma
Vit C
Biotin

Used to waste a bunch of money on supplements and was popping tons of pills all day.
Lesson learned was that most of them are worthless.

The supps I take now are effective and affordable.

Fish/Flax oils
Multivitamin
Joint support(currently Genoflex)
Tr1umph(PA +Ergogens)
PWO(Conqu3r and occasionally Mesomorph)
Protein(PES Select)
Fiber

Recently been taking EAA/BCAA's(Endur3) regularly which I didn't used to but the profile and value make it affordable and effective.

Year round for me are a mutli, fish oil, creatine monohydrate and a protein powder. Brands will change month to month for me as I like to try new products. I'll also usually be running some sort of natural anabolic from month to month but it's not the same year around.

Kind of redundant with the LIV 52 there. 1200 mg of NAC is plenty good.

In re to PowerMax XT, I must give you guys kudos for using L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine dipeptide instead of just tossing alanine and glutamine together into a tub and use data dervied from the L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine dipeptide research for the ad copy.

Yeah, but I'm using 600mg NAC, and LIV 52 is dirt cheap, haha. There's also an interesting study on Liver Care/LIV 52 showing improved nitrogen balance. It's only a few dollars a month for the two together. Why not?

I really like the formula for PowerMax XT. Lots of research behind the ingredients and doses.

ACES
Magnesium
Ashwagandha
Vitamin d3

And if I remember betaine and creatine. I don't lose sleep if I forget those though.

That's about it.

I think the idea of a staple is lost on some people though, haha.

when you say aces, what all does that encompass? i realize what aces are, but do you add in any minerals/bcomplex as well? or do you feel your minerals are fairly well obtained through diet? and what products you use?

was considering A-spirulina, E-tocomin suprabio (nutricology/carlsons depending on decided dose) as my main core.

esterc/lef minerals/lef or jarrow b complex.

thoughts?

I dont tend to get many other minerals through supplementation except the selenium and what is within my ZMA. My diet is constructed around micros first as opposed to macros, and so it is fairly diverse.

As for brands, I go for whatever I can find cheapest. Usually sourced locally unless I can be bothered importing, but mostly not.

NOW Foods is my first port of call.

Spirilina is good as well. I buy that as a drink though but it is a staple.

All the year?
Creatine non-stop!
I take 5g a day for about 4 years!

Everything else ciclizzo.

My unique, indispensable, that I use from time to time: (ciclizzo) and who have worked more than once, never disappointed:

Anabeta Elite
ARA
Shift
Erase Pro
formestane
Alphamine EU (og)
High Volume
select protein
amino IV

Being tested (if it is worth spending the money in the near future):

Follidrone2.0
Test1fy cps
Letrone

Still unproven, and curious to know if they work:

Tr1umph
Viron

Disappointed by:

test1fy dust

I found it doesn't really matter. I am using Swanson's multi enzyme right now. I find that as long as I have papain and bromelean it helps. I eat almost 300g of protein from meat and fish a day.

Seems like everyones list is the same give or take some products.

I need to get on the spirulina train as well.

Forgot to mention LCLT in my OP

Great papain and bromelain for protein!
Dairy products and eat? (Enzyme lactase)
With carbohydrates at which altitude are you?

I personally try to stay away from dairy as much as possible. It tends to bloat me and as I get older have more issues with it. I do have whey protein shakes, some low net carb protein bars and an occasional ice cream or frozen yogurt cheat day here and there.

Carbs it all depends. Only around my workouts. Slow digesting high fiber carbs pre workout, fast high molecular carbs intra workout and fast digesting more simpler carbs post workout. At this time is when I take my ala.

That's a good list. I forgot to put my d3 also.... that's an important one.

I assume three times a day? advice to cycle enzymes? how are you? : D (I also ask you)

Ashwagandha-never have tried this.
What brand and dose do you guys recommend to see noticeable effects.

It took a while for me to get on the ashwagandha train. Wish I got on it sooner. You can go with Jarrow. It is cheap and the dose is perfect.

You can also notice ashwagandha in test boosters/natural anabolics now as well. Some that come to mind are AlphaMax XT, Ultimate T and I think Erase Pro+

You could use one of those products for 8 weeks and then use the Jarrow, or another brand, to continue your use of ashwagandha past 8 weeks.

ideal obviously (diverse diet/competent micros), i feel like ive neglected myself a lot over there years, so going back and forth on my ACES protocol has induced some hang wringing, lots of debated stuff regarded science behind things (artificial vs natural sources, tocos in E ect), and what is more essential, along with its so individual so its takes some personal input as well...which is also the beauty of the aces. hard to dial it all in, for me at least.

spirulina might be one of the better vitamin A sources ive found, shout out to muscleupcrohn for making me look harder at that one. 14mg carotenoids per 3g is higher than most carotenoid products ive found.

interesting staples lists itt too. ya'll are some good bros.lol

I've read that it's good for sleep, stress, anxiety, and as a natty test booster.
Am I missing anything else?

Also, any benefits of high dosing it?

I use a pretty comprehensive nutrition program that the university I work at has access to, which is like the beefed up version of myfitnesspal or fitday. Over three days, I hit 100% of micros which is fairly decent, so I don't prioritise micronutrient supplements.

I personally take 5000 IU, I've seen some people run it all the way up to 10,000 IU and beyond.

I'm with Dan. Best bet is to go get a 25-OH D blood test and go from there. Some doctors prescribe 50k iu once a week, some say just take 1k every day or so. It'll depend on what the test results say.

Basics:

No need to high dose it. 300 mg twice daily is good enough. I notice the benefits around week two or three. Not saying it doesn't work prior to then, but that is when I start "feeling" it. By that I mean my head is less foggy on a daily basis, I wake up more rested and I just feel better overall. Here are some good reads.
