Best Core Stability Exercises

I'm looking for some of your go to core stabilizing exercises. I recently sustained a small injury and believe it is due to this. I know of Pallof presses, I think I am doing them correctly. If you could link a video too, that would be great.

I like weighted planks the most. It's so tough to hold yet such a simple exercise.
 
Pallofs are 100% my favorite. Tony gentilcore has a good article on pallofs and a few variations:

Instead of wasting space and creating a new thread, I have a question regarding ab training.

For ab training, do you count stability exercise sets towards your working sets? For example, if I want to do nine total sets for abs and do three sets of blanks, would I only do six sets of other exercises?

Anything that involves muscular contraction and fatigue should be a set.
