Challenge time, are you in?

I mean if break times are questioned. Numbers are easy to count even sped up.

Awesome number! Did you do every set to failure? You have to see RegisterJr 's video, it's too funny!

Gahhhh!!!! Pain!

I lost count of sets so I ended up doing 12. I have video, so you can still see how many I did in 10. Every break a number pops up on the screen and at the end you see the disgust on my face. lol

Uploading video now. I'll share that and my number in PM to HG. I sped up (2:14:00 from 7+) the video to save time but you can see my break timer in the background. If numbers are questioned I'll upload the full 7 minute + video.

Hilarious video !!!! LMAO Can I post the link here? We did similar numbers and in the first set I did 100 -you 99, almost identical.

Your call, it's your challenge. I counted 100 when I did them but after watching the video I couldn't count the one (rep 3) that I had to toss my headphones. I wonder if strategically taking a break before fatigue would've preserved more? 100 on set one, then it's forcing 10/15/20 thereafter.

As a finisher I use 15 kg / 33lbs , sets go below 20 reps.
Next challenge will be sets with 2lbs DB's, until no rep left. This way you have to be the first when gym opens -and the last when it closes, then you walk out with the hands pointing backwards, like in the Flintstones, LOL.

It's a blockbuster! LOL

I wonder too. We both did 100 in the first. Alpha1agreda did 60/60/50/50 in his first 4 sets, guessing he preserved strength. None the less awesome total number and kicking our asses badly with 374.

It was painful. The last few sets I was toast and grasping for reps.

It was tough as hell bro lol it wasn't the triceps that failed thou it was my wrist that started bothering me past 50 on the first 2 sets so I cut it at 60 and then by the 3rd set it was tricep failure for sure, hope that doesn't dq me lol
Awesome job thou RegisterJr I know what that felt like for sure on one set I failed completely at like 18 and I just kept calling myself a pu$$y on every rep of the remaining sets lmao I'll be doing it again soon will try getting to 400 but maybe in a couple weeks, my arms been twitching all day lmao

Yes, you are disqualified!

LOL, just kidding.
I will repeat the challenge tomorrow (I'm used to masochistic exercises), trying to match your numbers -and doing 60 in the first set, instead of 100, to see if it makes a huge- ,small-, or no difference at all.
If your numbers still are unreachable for me, I will defend me with the "I used 11lbs DB's" defense, LOL.

Lmao probably makes a big difference if I got to 100 on the first set I imagine I woulda hit less, all good thou I gots new finisher out of it at least haha . My triceps (while small) are my strongest at one point I was close grip pressing 315 for 1 and regular pressing it for 2 lol also forcing myself to get to 135 for reps on seated OH tricep extension helps somewhat lol

so, um what did you get, i promise not to laugh or tell anyone lmao

135 for reps on seated OH tricep extension is beastly IMHO! Were you doing them with 1 DB -or a zbar or something?

I've done 130 1db but 135 on a 35 lb bar with a 45plate and a 5 on each side when I did that with my original workout partner he got pissed at me lmao he said "wtf I stop training with you and this is the dumb **** you do this is pointless I'm out of here" and walked off to a machine lmao
so, um what did you get, i promise not to laugh or tell anyone lmao
Weren't you the one that said to let HG post them lmao with that kind of memory I wonder how you'll keep track of your reps I guess counting to 5 is easy enough lmao

behind the head, single db, 2 arm press
rev grip pull down
rev grip skull crushers

cable ext- example- when you use a rope from behind the head, put your back to pole and you lean forward extend out, - instead, use a short bar, dont use an ex bar- must be straight.
get in that same position, lean forward a little, starting point arms bent and long head of tri and elbows are parrell to the floor, wrist are up
the tempo is 1 out, at full flex hold for 2 and 1 on the neg. object is not the wgt, its to tap the long head as much as possible. if you start jerking or you using more of you back, drop the wgt 10 (5 if your gym has the 5lb plates) and go. these will burn like a bitch, but you will get stronger and the heads will get bigger

on an incline bench 45' do the same thing as this challenge but with wgt you can manage
starting point is db by the side of your head and you extend out- HERE is where its different. rather then doing the reg extension, you will twist your wrists out slight- so both pinkies will facing left and right. your basically making a quarter "C"- movements. when you twist out, make sure to flex, twist back in, lower db back to the side of your head and repeat.

^^^ A video would be nice, sounds kind of difficult to an old fart like me, LOL.

Yeah I'm with HG here lmao I think I know what you're saying but I'm not too sure I can visualize it I'll get in the gym and give those a try and if they don't feel right I'll ask for more direction lol but I will give them a shot for sure . working tris is freaking awesome but when I do pull downs if I want to go heavy I have to make a death contraption lmao I use a second pin and put a 45 plate and 2-3 of the 5lb plates on top of the stack and I'll usually get 4-8 reps there it's about 255 (I use the straight bar most often already it's my go to)
Edit: also I forgot to add smith_69 I was definitely just messing with you I'm expecting to be in second place brother!

Unbelievable!
I was planning on doing these tomorrow after chest, but this was painful to watch! I guess I'll just have to man up.....

I liked how he was "helping" with his legs in the last sets, LOL!

so that's about 160 with real wgt (using 10lbs) dam, well one thing is for sure EMPIREMIND don't ever piss her off lmao

On the next challenge do we get to do it fresh or does it also have to be after a chest day?

well the elderly always say every younger generation has it easy. remember they had to walk up hills both ways to go to school, wait on bread lines for 4 days, the only video game they had was with dirt drawings and sticks.
the elderly suffered and naturally they want the next gen to suffer twice as much, so hell probably suggest that we down a bottle of ipecac and then do 5000 sit ups

Dude i was looking at her in shock. Im sitting there counting the reps getting pissed off. I just finished my sets and she damn near did all my reps in one set lol. I wonder sometimes with this girl....

My total was 391. I did this fasted after a high volume, heavy arm and calf workout. 2 hrs of solid training time before i did the challenge. Heres me breakdown...

10lbs dbs: 10 sets , 10sec rest
110
30
40
36
37
30
24
30
29
25

Then my girl did it after counting and timing all my sets and reps. I counted and timed her and i was pissed off.. She used 5lbs....

310
60
58
30
35
14
38
28
95
64

I was so upset i didnt even total it lol

That's insane.

Slight rule change coming up:

"After chest- or arm-day ; as finisher" does not specify enough. For instance, a chest day could be only flies with no triceps involvement.
"All sets to failure " Even with a video, it would be impossible to proof.

Nothing really changed, just go for it for 10 sets, 10 sec pauses and get the highest total number of reps, anyone, anywhere, whenever.

Sincerely
HG "The Rule-maker"

Who died and made that guy the rule maker ?

What do you guys need me to do? Video? Detail my training day before i hit the sets? Lmk. Im all in.

I normally do these type of workouts on a regular basis. High high reps. I train mountaindog style and prison style arm routines all the time. So this was a perfect lil addition. Im trying to hit 500 reps by the end of the month so let me know what i gotta do!

All is fine! The rule change came after one member did not to failure due to wrist problems. The "use as finisher rule" is void, because everyone uses triceps in his previous workouts more- or less.
"not to failure necessary" -gives us now more freedom how to do them, with- or without strength savings in the first sets.
Hopefully, you all agree on this. No ill intentions here.

Ooo ok. Got it. Sounds good. Btw reps to you for this thread. This is nice man. Good motivation!

You forced me to bench when I had shoulder pain just for this challenge and now you're saying we don't have to? I want a refund. lol
