Hawthorne for BP

This might be an overly obsessive question, but do any of these BP supplements interact with any of the normal sleep aids, such as phenibut, kratom, mucuna pruriens, benadryl, valerian, nitrates, etc? I just want to make sure my BP doesn't drop too far while I'm sleeping.
 
If you have normal to high blood pressure over the day its not likely the drop in the night will get you to really low levels.
 
Question regarding taking blood pressure. I see all the recommendations to sit and relax 3-5 minutes before taking blood pressure, and waiting 5 minutes between readings. Well, when I do this it can drop from systolic 150 to 131 ish. But most of my day is spent running around, lifting, etc, so wouldn't my blood pressure most of the time be 150 and that's what counts? Or am I missing something?

Resting bp is what's important. Of course your BP is gonna be raised even walking to the bathroom but that's just how our bodies work. Definitely follow the 5 minute relaxing before testing recommendation.

Try potassiumnitrate, helps regulate bp without any negative side effects. Nitrates should be cycled though, especially potassium nitrate so I agree it's not a long term solution.

I'll use it long enough for the Hawthorne and garlic to kick in, hopefully that'll be sufficient.

That is my magic combo and lowers my BP from low 140s to high 120s. It is incredible and offers so many other benefits for health. iForce Potassium Nitrate is amazing as well, but if I do not get in my carbs shortly after eating, I get pretty out of it.

I've been taking Agmatine for a while, perhaps adding in citrulline is next too. What dose?
 
I do best with about 750-1g of agmatine. More than that makes me a little too relaxed. I combo it with 3-4g l-citrulline. The citrulline is a good mix not only from a health standpoint, but taste as well since agmatine has a bitter taste and citrulline is sweet.

If you hate being vascular I wouldn't recommend though. :)

I have no experience with sodium nitrate but I've never heard of or experienced any of the aforementioned side effects with potassium nitrate.
 
A vote for potassium nitrate as well. I have a home BP machine and it's quite cool to see what potassium nitrate can do at 30/60/90 minute intervals
 
Sodium nitrate does not really make sense for blood pressure lowering.
You get the symptom away because of the nitrate, but too much sodium is one cause of blood pressure issues.

The amount the aha sugg to stay under for bp is likely higher then the amount on sodium nitrate so it's probably not an issue in the end.
 
Not per se. The problem is that most of us eat huge amounts of sodium and the sodium nitrate is another rhing that adds up to it.

"For optimal heart-health, the American Heart Association recommends people aim to eat no more than 1,500 milligrams of sodium per day. That level is associated with a significant reduction in blood pressure,"
Then again 1,5g is not much.

Nope but I'm saying it can be used with no issue in this case if he is smart about it. K nitrate is likely easier to use and also adds to the k level we all need per day and what most of us miss. Which is also crucial for athletes.

Well I only said the combination with sodium doesn't make sense in the part of controlling blood pressure.
Iagree that one can use it without gettkng problems out of it ut the problems are still more likely than with potassiumnitrate.

Potassium nitrate tanks your blood sugar?
 
Did you order bulk? If so, you need to take vit c with it.

I take iForce PN and usually just take 1 before a workout and then another later in the day. They state 300mg on the bottle per dose.

What's the max daily dosage of nitrates? I've been taking 300mg potassium nitrate twice daily and it was working, until I carbed up this weekend and my BP is back up to 156/88 this morning. Or maybe it's the osta kicking in...

Idk but I wouldn't be running anything if my bp was high. I'd address that first and get it under control. Health first.
