Donald Trump running for president

I would be willing to bet that the majority of guns being used by gangs and criminals in Chicago to kill so many are not legally owned by those doing the killings---anyone want to bet?

Still, these kids will not be able to get guns illegally. All of these mass shootings have been by psycho kids.

Gutter, you know I love you bro, but you don't surf youtube much do you? :) How can I tell?

Kids already don't need to 'get' anything from anyone, legally or otherwise. They appear to be quite proficient at designing their own stuff with primitive shop class materials! You should go to u-tube and type in 'homemade' and then fill in the blank with whatever. Literally 1000s of videos on this crap, and real eye opener if you happened to be out of touch with the youth these days, lol.

We need to ban youtube then, congress where are you when America needs you! Do you hate the childrens and babies or something?

Logic, or common sense, since that phrase is being thrown around, dictates that if one is willing to commit one of the most heinous of crimes (murder/shooting someone), they will also be willing to violate the comparably trivial law of illegal possession of a firearm and/or possessing a firearm in a gun free zone. It can reasonably be assumed that criminals would not turn in their guns if they were outlawed.

this might just happen...at least they might try.

maybe not youtube but if they start at radical Islamic sites where will they end up at.

Better ban plumbing tools, computer parts, batteries, and also adolescence stupidness itself while we're at it. (good luck with all that too, lol)

Let's ban food, it's making people fat :/

I hope I am alive when they invent a home holodeck like on star trek....I have a few fav's at bigtits.com I want to try out, lol.

What do you consider a kid? It is completely legal to sell an AR-15 to an 18 year old on the spot in cash. If the 18 year old isn't shady as **** and states that they aren't prohibited from owning a firearm, it's a legit legal sale. There is no criminal here. Will the kid use the gun in a crime? Maybe, but that doesn't make the seller a criminal. It's really incredibly simple logic, I don't see what you're not getting. I'm not saying they go to their local gang/dealer and ask to buy a gun...

Are these colleges or high schools getting shot up most of the time? These kids are younger than 18 dude. These are children

Are these colleges or high schools getting shot up most of the time? These kids are younger than 18 dude. These are children

then stricter gun laws is irrelevant....it is already illegal for them to buy or own!!!

If a kid can get past a bouncer at a club or a bartender with a fake ID, then they can do the same to some schmuck selling them a gun who probably doesn't really care either way. Or an 18 year old friend technically buys it for them.

you forget 1 important fact...in a social circle of 10-15 teenagers at least one will have a gun in the house that they can gain access to.

I remember being a teenager and we were very good at getting things we weren't supposed to, and in todays world with both parents working or living in a single parent household I would think that it is easier today than then....kids today are very industrious, they know how to get what they want-or one of their friends does.

Kids should not have access to weapons that were intended for armies and wars because they should not be sold in the first place.

I have nothing against being able to use them at gun ranges.

I know you completely disagree tho so no use in arguing. Just my opinion.

the same way a criminal does it....it has been proven over and over again....if someone wants something bad enough they will find a way to get It...no matter what laws they pass....if there is enough profit in it, there will be always be someone willing to supply whatever people want-no matter what it is.

Militaries use automatic AR-15 style weapons. Civilians can only legally obtain semi-automatic weapons (without expensive and drawn-out Class 3 processes). If you don't know the difference, I may as well be talking to a wall; It may not listen, but at least it won't respond with wrong information that I already addressed earlier.

That'd be one retarded friend who didn't care about long term jail sentences. I've never heard of anyone buying guns for kids. Legally or illegally.

"Hey buddy, wanna buy me an AR? I just want it to hang on my wall. No, my folks don't care either" clearly it'd be purchased for illegal activity. Think about the logic on what you're saying. No friend would purchase a traceable gun for anyone. Simply retarded.

Pissing out the window and shyting out the window are 2 different things.

I know this, but what need do civilians have for altered military weapons?

To fire at a range? Civilians could rent them. No need for semi-auto or automatic weapons of this caliber in people's homes. They sure as hell aren't gonna hunt with them.

Ayoooo lets get some AR's n do some duck huntin'!! While we're at it, let's go fishing with grenades
Hunting is irrelevant to this topic really.

You said that kids shouldn't have access to military weapons. They don't. Congratulations. Next issue.

And, actually, lots of people do use ARs for coyote hunting.

People hunt with ARs all the time, my friend.

As for semi-automatics, what is your stance on pistols and concealed carry. Or semi-auto shotguns. Let's actually have a real conversation.

ok all,

this is my weekly address- everyone have a good week and see you on monday

What's an 'AR' anyway? To me, that stands for Androgen Receptor, lol.

And I thought moslums were known for using AKS or something with a more Russian sounding name? But the news said that guy used a little sidearm Sigsaw or something, is that an AR too? Need an army guy here to clear this up!

Whatever dude, keep getting tripped up on that. Nobody should have access to any altered military weapon, or any type of assault rifle., or any type of weapon that's not intended for personal protection. You don't fckcing need these types of guns to protect your home.

Maybe to protect a compound, but then a special permit should be obtained. I think we can all agree that we need some sort of amendments to the current laws.

And to set things straight, I'm not anti-gun. I just think things are a bit fckcing ridiculous in America on this topic.

People want to own these types of guns, then maybe form a gun club where you keep these types of weapons on premises in a controlled setting, not in residence, especially where there are kids, alcohol, etc etc. I'm all for being able to shoot guns dude.

I only use sling shots for coyote hunting, works better imo

In America it's LGBTA

The A stands for ammo sexual

I don't think a rifle is a good choice for home protection either, unless you are on a very large rural property. The bullets from an AR or AK risk too much over penetration. A shotgun is a good home defense choice, but pumping and/or heavy recoil puts some people off (especially women and older people). Semi-auto pistol caliber carbines are realistically one of the best choices for home protection. 9mm or 45 hollow points don't carry as much risk of over penetration as 223 or 7.62 do. Having a stock and better sights allow for more accuracy than a pistol does, as it's much easier to shoot accurately with a carving than a handgun. What is your opinion on semi-auto shotguns, pistol caliber carbines, and handguns then?

AR is just a type of gun. Think of the common scary black assault rifle (not what AR stands for actually), and that's an AR. Militaries use automatic, civilians use semi-automatic. It shoots .223 or 5.56 (although they do make 7.62 and .308 ARs as well).

AK or AK-47 is another rifle. It is Russian in origin, but is common around the globe. Militaries use automatics, civilians use semi. It shoots 7.62x39.

There are lots of other rifles that militaries use (auto) that have civilian counterparts (semi auto). Most shoot 5.56 (AR) or 7.62 (AK), but there are other calibers as well.

Just remember, the 2nd Amendment is there to protect the 1st. Its not for hunting like lord Obama says.

No way in hell I support gun control of automatics.

What is your opinion on semi-auto shotguns, pistol caliber carbines, and handguns then?

To be honest, I don't know too much about guns other than hunting rifles, and some of the weapons from COD. I suppose anything that's overkill should be banned from home residences though, especially where kids, alcohol, etc are. I'm all for controlled gun clubs.

I can't wait to get out of NY and get to some good ranges. I have access to an extended family member's range who's in the NYPD, but that's very much on the down low. They have numerous weapons. But NY gun ranges have pretty slim pickings.

You too man, started my new job today in management gonna be a good week

congrats buddy, glad to hear that and good luck- let me know how it goes

Like I said, in urban settings (most neighborhoods, or basically if you can see your neighbor's house really) a rifle (AR, AK, etc), is a very poor choice for home defense. If you shoot though a criminal in your house, and through your walls, and your neighbor's walls, prepare for a legal nightmare. Hollow point pistol caliber rounds minimize over penetration (they expand on impact) which makes them more suitable for home defense. Shotguns are very popular for home defense as well, but recoil is too much for some people, and some people can't or don't feel comfortable with a pump action (there are semi-auto shotguns). Pistols are always common, both for carry and home defense, but they are much harder to aim and have limited range compared to carbines or anything with a stock and a longer sight radius and barrel (which is where pistol caliber carbines come in. It's basically a semi-auto rifle that shoots a pistol round).

Thanks for the clarification. You're ex-military right? So you know this kinda stuff.

But whats a 'sigsaw'?

And why didn't the moslim kid use the common 47 model? Why the heck was he using an american round?

I found this chart looking for the sigsaw they say he used, but i think it's a joke right? lol

That chart is obviously a joke, haha, and I'm not quite sure if the rest of your post is too.

It was likely not "sigsaw," but "Sig Sauer" which is a gun manufacturer/company (think Colt or Bushmaster). I've heard that the shooter used a Sig MCX, which is, for all intents and purposes, the same damn thing as an AR. It's a semi-automatic high capacity rifle. As for why he didn't use an AK, who knows? Does it really matter? Middle-eastern forces commonly use AKs because they're cheap to make and durable, not because there's something patriotic about the caliber.

You've never shot a Cockmaster AR-15???!
