Day 17 and 18 May 3rd and 4th 2016

Sorry for not updating the last couple of days. My husband works in Fort McMurray AB and the city is burning....the wildfires have completely destroyed the city.....88000 people evacuated. My husband has been evacuated to a camp site in Barge Landing about 50 miles outside of FMM.....waiting for a flight home, that may not happen for days. But he is safe as well as my brother in law, sister in law and their children. Please keep the residents of this oil town in your thoughts and prayers.....so much devastation..

Yesterday was cardio and shoulders:

30 min in the stepmill followed by:

OHP - 4*8,7,7,6 - 60lbs
Bradfords - 4*9,8,6,6
Standing 1 arm press - 4*10
Plate Raise - 3*12,12,10
Side Lat - 3*12,10,10
Shrugs - 3*15

Today was leg day:

Sumos - 5*1 - 195lbs .....still could not get 200 off the ground
SLDL - 4*10
Seated Curl - 3*15
Leg Press - 3*6
Goblets - 4*10,10,8,8
Leg Ext - 3*15
Glutes - 3*12
Calves - 4*20,18,16,16

Still not much to report with the supps other than what I have already mentioned. Still bloating, but more veins appear daily....stuff is still nasty to choke down. Really really really need some wine tonight....LOL! Not sure how KI after wine instead of food would go...

How much sugar is in the wine? Try a little over 2 and a half 30 hours before KI.

Couldn't do it....decided I would rather eat my cals that drink them.....so today....its a win. Its been a struggle though and I miss my Sat night wine nights. Its been 4 and 1\2 weeks since I have had even 1 glass. 6 pack abs better be worth it .;)
 
Day 19 and 20 May 5th and 6th 2016

Just a quick update - yesterday was a rest day.....although I spent a couple of hours hiking with my son's class..;) Today was arms and it was a good one. Elbow is almost completely healed..

I have about 5 days left of KI, so I will be posting a final review by Wed next week, along with "after" pics. I am not seeing much change as far as body fat goes....to date I am only down 2 lbs....belly bloat is constant. But veins are quite prominent while lifting. I am going to continue cutting after the KI is gone...hoping Brite shows up soon..

KI\Defuse Final Review

So I have completed my 30 day run, and, honestly I am not sure this protocal helped me drop inches or weight. Today I am at 133.6 and I started at 136. Not much of a difference over 4 weeks despite being in a deficit. Observations:

- KI tastes HORRID. Like a combo of soap and salt. No matter how much water I mixed with it, it was just plain nasty. After the 1st few days I just mixed it with as little water as I could and chugged it down as quick as I could. Yuck!
- I always dosed this 2 hours after my last meal.....usually around 11 pm. I would feel really tired almost immediately. Upon waking in the morning I am usually starving. With KI I was not hungry at all. In fact I would go to the gym, get my workout in, etc.....and still was not hungry til noonish every day.
-bloating while on this was constant. From morning til night ....not sure why.....hoping this is gone after a few days.
-while I didn't lose much scale weight I could see new veins almost daily after the 1st week or so - upper body only. Lower body did not get any leaner.
-sleep was much better while on this.

I did not get a "wellbeing" feeling on this like some reported. If fact I didn't really feel much of anything.

Defuse - I would dose this 30 min before my 1st meal making sure that meal had at least 50 grams of carbs in it. Did not get that "hypo" feeling that most experience. I would dose a second cap before either supper or pre bed......most of the time I just barely made the 50 gram carb requirement so not really sure this was useful at all. I have used this before during vacations, holidays, etc where I would be eating tons of summer carbs and totally loved it for that reason......streamlining some of the damage from huge junky meals. But for this protocol, I feel it was not helping and was kind of wasted. I have some left that I will be saving for summer vacay.:)

Were your weights in the gym impacted negatively or positively? Also the bloating will go down in a few days.

Hard to say about strength since I was sick with a lung infection 5 days into the protocol and stopped taking KI and Defuse because I was barely eating and missed a week at the gym. Once I went back strength was in the toilet, but after about a week and a half it was back to normal. I am thinking that if I had kept up with the KI during the time I was out that strength may not have been impacted.....but its really just a guess.

Update on the bloat - down to 128.6 lbs today. Wed is 133.6....5 lbs in just a few days after finishing KI\Defuse. Feeling much leaner today as well.
