Yeah one bad experience and I can't stomach it for a long time. Rally's is very hit and miss. Some of those places are dumps.

Rally's here are really clean. No comparison to Chik-fil-a though.

Sucks about the food poisoning man.. That's awful. You've been having some awesome sessions too. Nice PRs too dude.

Thanks, capo. Felt better by the end of the day. Had to just get all of it out of my system. Be back in the gym tomorrow. Aiming for a pause squat PR of some sort. Not sure what to go for yet. I'll probably decide based on how my warm-ups feel.

Five hundo!!

Pumped about the PR. RPE 9.5. MAYBE could have squeezed another rep out. It would have been an epic grinder though. Everything is moving in the right direction. Just wish I could get the weight to feel lighter on my back! Lol.

Been really slacking with my assistance work lately. Need more PC work.

Stay strong AM.

Reverse bands and 550# beltless walkouts will help that weight feel light, Ian. The hardest lat exercise I ever did was a beltless 675 walk out with ten second hold. It was the hardest all of the exercises, though.

Quick session. Just feeling a little off today.

Saw this dude who clearly uses synthol at the gym today. That's the first time seeing that in person. So dumb.

Stay strong AM.

Went in the gym and just did whatever today. Going to be working 60 hours this week on top of trying to coordinate a move three hours away so doubt I'll be in the gym much this week.

I get that way (as you've seen on here)
Probably just I bit mentally burnt out you do train very hard and have a demanding life from what I've read. Give it some time and you'll feel your motivation return

Sounds like you might just need to set up a meet/goal to peak or add in more opportunities to hit rep prs. You use to always do a 5/3/1 variation with rep prs. Now with the cws style it's very productive work you hit way less in the way of prs. So sounds like even if it's less optimal training wise it's more optimal passion and motivation wise.

Edit: this is the thing I struggled with, with all my training changes I was making a while back. So I'm just speaking from experience. If I wasn't so excited to just be lifting at this point I'd be in that same place still.

I hear ya, Lou. Going to be a fresh start once I get down to WV. It hasn't just been training though. Just all around blah the last couple weeks.

Going to be getting a gym membership ASAP at another YMCA. The equipment is sufficient. Actually better than my previous gym. The other gyms either sucked (most didn't even have squat racks) or were too far away. I'm living in a hotel this week (no cost to me) and just hitting the "gym" they have there. Just super light fluff work for 20 minutes a day basically. Just keeping my body running, more or less. Good mental break, if anything. I'm ready to train again. Going to be a 4 day split (5/3/1 variant) with an optional 5th BB day when I feel like it.

Yeah, I just want something simple and different. It just got boring, honestly.

I 100% agree, even cws says that it is very boring training and he is taking a break from it too. The strength blocks were more fun then the hyper blocks for me by far. I have a lot of trouble sticking to the hyper blocks as I get bored so fast.

I'm also curious how you will lay this all out. I've wanted to include amraps in my programming but it's hard to account for the fatigue aspect esp since training doesn't exist in a void. So any ideas how you will do it will be much appreciated.

I have a lot think about still, honestly.

So, life threw me a curveball. No longer moving. If you'd like to know why PM me, don't want to discuss it in my public log. Lifting continues to take a backseat.

Dont need to know but i hope everythings alright brotha. Just gotta wait back and smash that curveball into right center.

Sorry to hear Ian. I'm one to believe that things happen for a (better) reason regardless of the immediate discomfort. I hope this is one.
