it really is a moot point...no way in hell will roe v wade ever be reversed. hell, even if the republicans controlled house/senate/wh and scotus they would never alienate women by doing a reversal. actually I think a lot of republicans[in private] aren't even against abortion, it is an issue they can pretend to be against knowing full well it will never happen in reality. got to keep those conservtive voters thinking you are on their side, lol!!!

Its not just an abortion yes or no issue, but also the issue of where do we draw the line such as is it ok to prematurely give birth to a baby a few weeks out and just kill it?

Im not for a ban on abortion or anything, just some things just feel like it goes to far.

Probably because people think it will opens Pandora's box...once you start you never stop, its a fear I can relate too.

I would love (well not really) to see all these pro-abortion (pro anytime abortion that is) people in the same room watching or maybe even participating in a partial birth abortion operation and ask them how they feel afterwards if they make it through.

I understand the Pandora's box theory, it is the driving force preventing compromise, imo...but what gets me is each side criticizes the other for unwillingness to compromise when they are so unwilling to do so, lol.

It is not Pandora's box that is driving this. This is a textbook approach. If you want to turn someone against someone else, take those someone elses and demonize them: libtards, repugs. Now they are not even human any more, they are below human, they do not deserve your respect or your contempt.

Republican or Democrat, each administration has been there simply to give the people what they wanted. President Clinton fired missiles into Afghanistan. The American people were not satisfied, enter President Bush who invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. The American people grew tired of war, enter Obama who used less stick and more carrot.
If you don't think this is the case, look at Trump. Despite the fact that he is leading in Republican field, the Republican establishment is working hard to make sure that he does not get to the convention with enough delegates to clinch the nomination. Then, following the convention rules, they will select the candidate they want to run. And it will not be Trump, Cruz, or Rubio.
The truth is that you and I are the chumps. While we are busy hating Hitlery or Drumpf and hurling insults at each other, the political establishment will pick whomever they want. And yeah, people will be pissed off for awhile, then they will go back to X Factor, The View, or whatever distraction is on TV and life will go on.

I meant assuming if abortion was illegal, I thought that was what the whole trump fiasco on abortion was all about recently. Obviously if it was "legal" nobody is doing anything legally wrong.
 
So I finally saw that town hall last week with Dump, Cruzified and Kasiamgay.

I didnt really see anything that made me think Dump was collapsing, nor did I see anything that made me think Dump gave me much of a new dump, or even a fresh fart. The other two gave me nothing new either.

Now, what I seeing over the weekend on mainstream news over and over again is Dump is in trouble, Dump is in trouble, Dump is in trouble.

I think the propaganda masters are just trying to steer the ship with the hungry minions following the steak on the stick. The same way kind of they made Hitlery the frontrunner from the very beginning by saying over and over again, she is the front runner, she is the front runner, she is the front runner and everybody believes it so much that it even influences people to vote for that piece of botox trash.

Still working on the Libertarian town hall where the moderator needs to be the guy who is really running for president, lol.

Not what I'm saying at all actually. If something which is legal is made illegal, it's up to the practitioners to ensure it stops, not the individual who is trusting that legal medical clinics are practicing within the law.

I see things easing up, especially where it comes to genetic engineering and manipulation for disease prevention, etc. At least I hope things move in that direction.

Oh I agree. I'm all for assisted suicide. If I'm ever finding myself terminally ill, I'm flying my ass to the Swiss alps to die! They've got legal suicide clinics there. There's no need to live in suffering and to die without dignity.

Peaceful protests do not work in the middle east.

Obama was forced to implement policy the way he did because of the GOP blocking 100% of everything in the Senate, for the sake of blocking/partisanship. I'm glad he forced things though because contrary to popular belief within the GOP, the government needs to move forward, not be at a standstill.

I don't support our meddling overseas. I do support that bills get passed through the senate so that the US can function though.
