Female Thyroid and bloods questions

Ok so, I have a few questions on these bloods for a 40 year old female.
Please tell me if this is low, how I can better them, and whatever knowledge you can share. Thanks so much everyone!

Thyroid -TSH- result: .89
Range- .40-4.50

T4 Free- result: 1.0
Range .8-1.8

Iron result- 97
Range- 40-190

Cholesterol result-241
Range- 125-200

HDL-71
Range: >OR=46

NON HDL- 170- high

Triglycerides-68
Range- <150

LDL- 156
Range: <130

I appreciate all the help guys, someone dear to me believes their thyroid is causing problems.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks!

Kat should be able to help you.

The tests results in the OP are in range but borderline low. Are these private tests or doctor ordered? I would consult a doctor. If the prescribing doc doesn't address, yet she still has symptoms then get a 2nd opinion from a specialist.

They are from a doc, she has seen multiple people, and she is in range but they do not say much.
I'd like to be able to gather info to help her maybe bring to her doc to change his mind

Unfortunately, she's going to have to really push and search for doctors willing to listen/work with her. Her tsh is on the low end which would suggest hyperthyroidism(overactive)

This is a site I would suggest she read.

There's a ton of info that has helped me. I have an autoimmune thyroid disorder that is often misread/misdiagnosed through the normal blood work. After she reads through the info on that site, she should call her dr or possibly an endocrinologist to get more in depth testing done. They did not find mine until they did an ultrasound of my thyroid I which I basically had to demand they do.

Her iron is on the low end so if she's not taking a multi with iron, she needs to start. I would also suggest she look into ways of lowering her cholesterol/LDL levels. I don't know much about that part though sorry.

Sorry, but I'm totally out of my league here with female thyroid issues... Subbing for learnings though! Glad kat is in here to help you out :)

Thank you everyone.
Kat, I will be passing that info along, and will make sure to post if she has anymore questions.
She said she does seem to have a good doc who is willing to try anything she asks. So she is going to opt for more tests based on the advice in articles. As well as maybe an ultrasound.

Would help if we knew her weight as well, what kind of mood she is in, overall health, does she diet and exercise. What made her want to get bloodwork done?

She has mood swings and seemingly depression.
I would say she is roughly 160 5'10
She has moderate excercise, and her diet is gluten free as she has bathroom issues.

Anything else?
I don't know much about it so let me know if you need anything else

Those thyroid values are fine although a free t3 value would have been nice. HDL is great but LDL is high which can be reduced with a better diet.

Most dr's rarely think estrogen has anything to do with symptoms. At least in my experience they rolled their eyes when I asked them to test my hormone levels and didn't run a full panel.

This is a BIG part of the problem, and why I would suggest looking for a hrt type company like the ones that they market to men right now where you do one dr visit and the rest is over the net/phone. If you need the name of the male version just IM me and I'll look it up. I'd Hope there's a woman version. Those guys tend to be more aggressive in their approach and it sounds like that's what's needed.
Or, do your homework on some endo user/thyroid/female hormonal issue forums and try and find a name of a good doc in you're area. You can often call and ask the receptionist if the dr is regular or tends to think "out of the box"- which is what you need. But after looking at those bloods, I'd say for sure that she needs some t4 maybe, and possibly some sort of estrogen management. DIM is ALWAYS A great option and helps w the weight issue and mood and risk of cancer.
Wishing you nothing but the Best of luck, and truly hope you find someone good. I found my best doc at a rheumatologist office, so you never know where they come from. You'll be in my thoughts, keep us posted.
