Going to run my first test booster (Alphamax)

So I've always thought and read that test boosters were for the older guys and guys with Low T until I came in here and saw how many people actually use them and they weren't old. Alphamax kept popping up and people rave on how good it was on leaning out while gaining strength so that being my goal it immediately got my interest. So said F it and ordered enough for an 8 week cycle of the original formula. I'm currently 265-270lbs at 6' best guess is mid 20s bf % and my goal is to lean out and get some muscles to pop out from under this fat.

So my plan is to run this with just the ArA I'm currently on for the first 4 weeks and then either add EP1C or Strength Unleashed for the last 4 weeks. Triumph might come into play here too depending on whenever it comes in.

My lifts are 460 dead, 350 squat, and a 365 bench been doing strength training for less than a year and half maybe around 15-16 months so I think I still have a lot left in me but I don't want to get any bigger yet ID like to develop some good looking muscles.

I work in the oil fields 12hr shifts + 1hr commute home so my dosing is gonna change depending if I'm not days or nights 5am-5pm and vice versa this is where I'm not sure on how do go about it. I have meals at 7-8am and 2-3pm workout at 6pm, and 8-9pm and a light meal/snack at 2-3am workout is fasted at 1pm after I wake up.

Tips? Additional supps? Thanks guys. I will be starting this on Monday and doing a log as well.

I will be starting my run with alpha max soon as well. Sounds like you haven't taken alphamax or any text boater before like myself. Only advice I can give is what was given to me, run it alone for the first time to see how it works and how your body changes. By adding other sups you will not know what works best or if at all. So there's my 2 cents run it alone this time

Looks like a solid plan man, your lifts are great for someone who's only been training for 15-16 months. Bench is HUGE. I think you're really going to enjoy an 8 week run with Alphamax. Just a few questions:

-You said you don't want to get any bigger, so what are you goals with this cycle?
-How's your diet look? Are you eating enough calories to support your goals?
-I'm a little confused on your question about dosing. Are you training twice per day? It looks like you said you workout at 6pm and 1pm when you wake up? A bit confused on that part.

Other than Alphamax, I would recommend keeping your supplement stack simple. I would say fish oil, creatine, and whey to meet your protein requirements for the day would be more than sufficient for supplementation

I don't want to get more mass I want to develop more muscle and get stronger. I'm not gonna be using the scale the mirror will be my gauge on how it's going. I'm pretty confident I'm big enough to hit my strength goals right now.

My diet isn't perfect but it is pretty good. I do eat a lot of protein and a moderate amount of carbs. Meal prepping will start again I have a 4 day weekend incoming that I will use to prepare my nutrition to begin Monday.

Sorry I should have clarified on the dosing I work a rotating shift of days and nights. When I do my day shift I workout at 6pm and when I do my night shift week I workout at 1pm fasted it's right after I wake up. I do 7 days off 4, 7 nights off 3, and rinse and repeat.

I have PES Select right now but I'm almost done so I'll be looking for some deals on protein this week. Fish oil I can't do cause of ArA , and currently on creatine mono.

From your goals, it sounds like you're looking to do a recomp/cut. If you're not looking to gain any more size, then I would suggest eating at maintenance or in a small calorie deficit. Alphamax is a great product to use in this situation - it will help you to gain or maintain strength while lowering your body fat. The key to success with a recomp is your diet. I would really focus on dialing in your diet: figure out your calorie maintenance and eat about 200-300 calories less. What type of training do you do? What's your current workout routine and sets/rep ranges?

As far as dosing goes, I would try to keep it as consistent as possible. I know it'll be difficult with your schedule, but I would follow the label and dose 2 caps 20 minutes before breakfast and 2 caps 20 minutes before bed.

Creatine and Select are all you should need as far as supplements go. I would recommend you don't add any other supplements into your stack so you can see how Alphamax works for you on its own.

If you run a log or at least post occasional updates I would follow. I am still on the fence regarding test boosters...so I am a virgin that sense...

On another note....you are insanely strong for the amount of time in the gym...or maybe I am just too impatient....I am at 9 months and still cutting so my lifts are pathetic...

If you dont mind what were your starting lifts if you remember them?

Don't be discouraged, his lifts are insanely high. Raul is strong! His bench is bigger than mine, and I've been training for 6+ years hahah

When I first joined in April of 2014 I had a hard time repping 135 on bench, squatting with the bar was a bitch, and I have no idea on deads. For the first 5-6 months all I pretty much did was cardio I really wanted to lose weight I was 6' 278lbs. I lifted on occasion and diet was pathetic what a waste of time those months were. I was fat but I've always been someone who wears their weight well I've never had a big ass belly my weight distributes pretty good. When I finally did some research is when I began doing a program with real lifts I began doing a full body 3x a week and that's where I began to count my time lifting. I've always been big and I did lift back in high school 10 years ago so might be why my lifts shot up pretty quick. Oil field is very slow right now so I believe I will be able to keep up with a log and make frequent updates.

Im gonna try and stay on a deficit as long as energy isn't suffering in the gym.

Currently I'm doing 5x5 for compound lifts and 3x8-10 on accessory lifts 1 muscle group per day except arms I do those several times after main lifts. On occasion I'll pyramid up to a double and back down but I am not gonna go heavy for a while now gonna stick to 5x5 and keep the reps consistent.

raul87 With dosing, John laid out a good plan. I personally do two caps first thing in the morning and 2 pre bed on an empty stomach. The 2 pre bed lead to better sleep because of the ZMA and L-Dopa. ZMA is best taken on an empty stomach or somewhat empty stomach. If you eat right before bed, you can still dose pre bed, there will not be an issue there.

Have you ever ran forksolin in the past? SOme people get GI distress from F95. Since it is a higher extract, GI distress should not be an issue. If it is though, dose with food.

If you haven't ran alphamax before I'd just give it a solo run and see how you like it. I really like the product.

You can run both at the same time. It is just advised to run any product solo to see how individual products affect you. Supplements/ingredients will all give u different results.

I figured there wouldn't be a problem I was just wondering if I'd waste the ArA if I stop now and then continue it later instead of going continuously through the whole cycle.

As for my dosing when I'm on day shift it's pretty straight forward as the bottle says. I wake up at 330am but breakfast is not until like 730am so I'll take my first dose at 7am? As for when I'm on nights I wake up at noon then I go workout my first meal is not until about 330pm so I'll have my first dose at 3pm?

You could run ArA for 4 weeks and then introduce AlphaMax. 4 weeks should allow you to determine how ArA treats you and also allow you to differentiate effects from AlphaMax.

You do not need to take AlphaMax with food. We only suggest it for those they get GI distress, which is a small population. Keep it simple. I personally would just keep dosing consistent so you remember to take you supplements. You can take your dose when you work nights right when you wake up at noon and the other pre bed. Days you work, you can dose when you wake up or at 7, it is up to you. I like to keep dosing ~12 hours apart.

Cremax was free too thanks for the PM that's where I got it
You're welcome, that's a deal that's hard to pass up. Depending on your pre, you can probably throw the CreMax right in it.

Bring on the gains! Glad you're excited man. The unflavored CreMax is perfect to add into another pre as Cubs said. I like adding the orange dream in with other products too, it adds a great twist to most other flavors. You're gonna love this stack

If you're using Pre Jym then save the CreMax XT for a later run. Pre Jym already contains creatine, there is no need to use CreMax in addition to Pre Jym.

Don't think of CreMax XT as a just a creatine or just a pre workout product. It is designed to be an ergogenic product, something one should take to increase recovery, stamina and overall performance.

Yeah pre jym has 2.5g of Creatine HCl but I'm using Pre Bulk right now and has no creatine. It does have 2.5g of Betaine(Betapure) and Cremax does as well so how would that go using both pre workout?

There are many studies using >2.5g betaine anhydrous (often up to 6g, usually split into 2 3g doses), and betaine reduces homocysteine in a dose-dependent manner.
https://examine.com/rubric/effects/view/582/Homocysteine/all/

If you don't want to take all of that betaine at one time, drinking CreMax XT during your workout may be an option, and should help with pumps (glycerol and taurine) as well as the added benefits of l-alanyl l-glutamine (which has some promising research when taken during exercise) and electrolytes. You could always take it post-workout as well if you didn't want to drink it intra.

I saw the glycerol and thought about during workout just not sure how the other stuff would like it but good to know that thanks.

If you liked OG, you could snag some muscle addiction eradicate-e($15 on NP right now) (Armistane) and run that along the new Alphamax XT. It has the new AI in it which is good stuff, but I'm a sucker for Armistane :)

I'm curious how you like it, Performax did a great job on this formula.

The original Alphamax is still available at some retailers, but not for long. If you like the version with Arimistane you should try to pick up a few while you still can

Well I was gonna begin this cycle on Monday and I've been impatiently waiting for Monday but an opportunity to log Alphamax XT has opened and if I am lucky enough to be selected I believe it would be better for the community to log the new product rather than the discontinued one. If I don't get picked well I will just begin on this running the OG product. What do you guys think?
