IMHO, TDEE calculators do NOT work for everybody and can NOT be taken serious by everyone.

Believing the calculator, my daily maintenance calories are at 3326 cal. I was on diets before, NOT exceeding 2000 cal/day, without loosing a single gram of body weight after the initial 2 weeks in.
Don't anybody say it's because "You were cheating on meals, or your workout sucked. "
IMHO, my metabolism is just slow as a turtle and my insulin sensitivity sucks.
Every cutting diet turns for me into a recomp - but hey, that's a good thing, I guess.
Here my advise as a noob with moderate success:
Hulk, go by the mirror, -not by the scale and NOT by calculators. Cut carbs to a minimum, train hard, do cardio and, with your thick build, stay around 2000-2500 cal/day. Adjusting from there.
