Sweetlou's training log

Ah. In the ER the cmp is the one with the glucose on it so guess I didn't know that.

Good bar speed. Watch your heels at the top and it looks like you lock out with your quads instead of the PC.

I felt the shift at the top. I committed to that rep and gave it all I had. I'll be in more control next time. Possibly? All I feel is glutes when I squat. I never get any quads pump anything.

Maybe some lat tightness was lost out of the hole and the focused shifted to the glutes?

Anyone try the slingshot world record breaker knee wraps? How you like them if so?

Never tried them
I have tried
Annihilators
Rhinos
Overkills
Grippers

My favorite would be rhinos it a very comfortable wrap not overly thick

My annihilators are stiff and give good rebound and are at least 1/4 inch thick

Yeah the red ones why not? How are overkill?

I forgot why but I tried them out and just wasn't a fan. I love the Overkills but they're absolutely excruciating and casting, but with a spring. I'll use my Iron Rebel Anaconda's for a bit before the Overkills in training.

I like Dmax's list. Iron Rebel makes good stuff.

I'll use the Anaconda's for a couple weeks and then the Overkills. That's my plan at least.

Edit: Because I don't feel like doing 3-5 reps in Overkills.

I tried a buddy's iron rebel outlaw wrist wraps. I'd like to give those a go in a knee wrap. I've never had my wrist so completely casted.

I haven't wrapped many knees at all, but of anything I've ever handled they were the easiest to put on. Like the material wants to grab itself tight and hangs on.

The EFS ones are the black and white ones, correct?

Edit: anyone on the fence about IR, they have a coupon for 30% off "thankyou," that should still be active.

I'm deff still on the fence since I really want the overkill wrist wraps. I'll snag the knee wraps too when they come back in.

Yes the black and white strips. It's the same as apt just elite logo.

I prefer the Outlaw to all of those. I'm actually not a big fan of the Overkill wraps, but I'm in the minority there.

Notes: I'm starting to build momentum. My squats and pulls were the best I could have hoped for today. All squats to depth, fast, strong, and pain free. Good bracing also. Pulls were butter. I actually prefer the opposite grip from my comp sumo grip when I pull conv. Weird but ok. Chains may be a viable option for some cat work. They are just rusty as hell. Took just over 2 hrs. Great start to this block. Rpe on squats wasn't to bad. I was just out of breath and my hamstrings were taking a beating.

Awesome thanks. How much pop you think you'd get out of them? How hard are they to pull on to wrap?

Self wrapping isn't bad. I got an extra clean rep while using these on SSB last week compared to the Z I was using. That's the only comparison I have for them at the moment. Wonderful feel, though, without feeling like it cuts into your skin.

Thick, stiff wrap. I really want to try some squats in outlaws. Tried the Lilliebridge wraps today. 3m. Not in love with them.

Lets talk blood work

On 180mg test
90mg split m/th
Test was done sat am btw
Dhea 15mg in the am. Taken morning before test
Asin 6.25mg taken day of shot
Caber .25mg taken day of shot

Results
Total t 1500, once again very strong stuff
Free t, over 50, test doesn't measure any higher...oh lol
Dhea 385, better but I want it a touch higher. Happy with a 50pt increase with just 15mg
Prolactin 3.4 this is actually low on their scale. Idk if I should worry tho.
E2 28, this is a great e2 number, idk if it's great for that test number but the asin works at a low dose and I respond very well to it. First in range e2 I've had since I start checking again.

2/2/16-hb 2 week 1 day 2 bench assistance
Warm up
Usual stuff

Spoto bench
62.5%-190x8

62.5%-230x8
240x8
Flat db press paused
70x8 @7-8
80x8 @7-8
80x10 @8-9 pr
Db rows
110 straplessx8x2 @8-9
110 strappedx8x3 @8-9
Hammer curls/mini band push downs
35x8x4 @8-9/100 total reps @7-8
Mini band pullaparts/micro band forearm wall slides
10/10x5 @7-8
Rehab: 45deg raise/ext rot/oh pullapart/one arm hangs 2 rounds

Notes: now that I'm over being sick and my digestion is back up and running I'm feeling great again. I smashed today with more in the tank but I took small jumps up I know fatigue will start to catch up later in the block. Hitting a great groove on bench and db press. If things keep up like this I'll have the best block of my off season since my meet. Not pain. Took just over 2 hrs so I'm more efficient and moving through the work faster and stronger.

It appears low prolactin has a lot of negative effects. Yikes. So I'm gonna cut the caber dose in half going forward towards my next blood test. Prolactin has a sweet spot like estrogen and pretty much all hormones. What a roller coaster ride this has been lol

So we know you need less test w this source. That's an unhealthy cruise level, and you're doing 60-70% offseason work so now isn't the time to sacrifice health.

We also don't want big changes. What about 140-150 test weekly. Obv estro will lower w Asin set BUT we also want DHEA higher so we bump that to 20. And you drop caber dosing to Thursday shot only (assuming you have more gf time on weekends, otherwise Monday if you prefer).

So:
140 test/wk
(70/70 mon and thurs)

Aromasin unchanged

Caber halved, so only take thurs dose

DHEA 20mg from same brand daily in am

These are just adjustments I'd make for myself, purely based anecdotally off TRT logs I've read. I'm just bouncing ideas out there, Lou, so don't feel like it's advice from a professional. It's just brovice from a bro.

Will likely aim for 140ish test
I can cut the caber doses even smaller so it'll be .125 on shot days
Leave dhea alone as it will keep building up for another few months based on the studies I've read
Will cut asin dose down slowly to 3mg on shot days as my blood levels drop. It will likely have to go back up some as dhea builds due to down stream effect. Also based on studies but that is about 6 months from now.

2/4/16-hb 2 week 1 day 2 squat and deadlift assistance
Warm up
Usual stuff

Cat comp squat for time
80%-375x3 felt good
70%-325x3x6 in 15min, form got better but I was gassed at the end. This killed my mojo. Almost back to where I was pre injury. Decided to stop being a bitch
1in deficit conv deads (planned blocks but someone was using them for the whole time I was there so I just decided to do these instead at the same weight. These will give me more carryover anyways I just wanted to be lazy.
62.5%-335x8x4
Goblet bss/mini band abduction
45x10/15 for 3 sets @7-8
Rolling planks
8x3 @10
Bird dogs
10x2
Rehab: ext and int rot stretch right leg and bss/sldl/abduction left leg 2 rounds
Notes: this took longer then o wanted but those squats then pulls just tanked me lol. Coming back tho. I will say my mental psych up is very low for almost being back to where I was pre injury. Squats are getting more consistent, rodja was right about my glutes and once I started really getting them moving beginning to end my squats and pulls both took off strength wise and felt much stronger tonight. Building momentum.

Edit: I have to put my belt much tighter now that I've lost weight. Only two holes left before I'll need a tighter one. This is the first block it's been as tight as I needed it honestly.

Can you not have a leather-smith put more holes in it?
