Irons vs Iron - My OL CistaFUSE Beta Log w HST!

Nothing to report from day 1.
Did wk 1 day 2 of my workout log today. Pretty similar to the last day. I moved dips to in between squats and deads. Seemed to help a little, but still took me an hour and a half.
Dosing for tomorrow will be a single scoop, mid afternoon probably with food. Rest day.
 
Day 2:
Dosage was 1 scoop at 1:00pm with water again on an empty stomach. Happy to report no GI upset from it, or unwanted symptoms. So, debating on upping to two scoops tomorrow or staying at one for another couple days. Thoughts??

Obv it's still to early to be looking for any major changes, but on the short term I can say that I am less sore today than I was the day after my last workout, and I am less sore today than I was yesterday. I'll be keeping an eye on DOMS and recovery time.

As for sweating / temp...I haven't noticed anything yet outside of the norm. I stayed pretty dry during my lift yesterday which is typical for me.

Day 3 is right around the corner!!

Anogenin was good. I've had several successful runs with it and would have bought it again, but ordered Str3ngth UL to try instead. Hoping for even stronger results next time around.

I just finished 8 weeks with Anogenin, didn't notice any better joint health, but they weren't any worse either. I DID notice a slight increase in strength, recovery, and muscle fullness, plus decent pumps in the gym. Are there stronger supps out there? Yep. But, if you're going the natty route or your system is sensitive...or you just don't want anything too drastic, Laxo gave me a nice edge.
 
OK thank you, look like the benefit I got from Fear Lecithin Granules, so not worth the price tag for the Laxo. Maybe Dermastrengh can chance my mind.
 
Day 3:

Today was WK1 Day3

Nothing really to report yet. Took it with 6oz water in a shaker cup at 2pm, followed by a yogurt, all roughly an hour PWO.
...although; it might be worth mentioning that for three weeks I've been dealing with pain in my thumb.

I've tried heat / ice / rest and trying to loosen it up...even had my chiro take a crack at it. All with no progress. If anything it continued to get worse. The worst day was two day ago when I learned how much throwing a rugby ball upset it...which was unfortunate because that's typically a big part of my warm-up. lol

Now here I am on day three of CistaFUSE and my thumb pain is greatly reduced. May be a coincidence, but it's something I'll be keeping an eye on. My DOMS are decreased as well.
Although I haven't noticed any endurance related effects yet, the door's open for some recovery potential.
 
Day 4:
Rest day, dosed 1 scoop at 1PM. No injuries or soreness to report. No visible changes.

Day 5:
Dosed 1 scoop PWO. I'll continue 1 scoop tomorrow (rest), but increase to two scoops PWO on my next lift day.

My thumb is completely back to normal today. Full range of motion with no tenderness whatsoever.

Workout was a struggle through the squats / deads / bench portion again today. 15 reps is a lot for such large muscle groups...they get gassed at 10-12. I've decided to drop to 1 set of deadlifts for the remainder of the 15 rep days. I'll try adding the second set back in once it drops to 10 reps after another couple sessions.

Still no real endurance related effects to report. I had some extra aggression in the gym today from some stuff I have going on in my personal life, so I found an extra burst of energy (anger) about halfway through...really helped me get those few extra reps banged out.

Rest Day Cals: 3,000-3,500 kcal
Training Day Cals: 3,500-4,000 kcal
Training Day Macros: P224g C566g F84g (I double the fat and half the carbs for rest days, protein stays the same)

Day 6:
Dosed a single scoop mid afternoon.

Day 7:
Stepped it up to 2 scoops today. Hoping to see something different with this addition. Still no real tangible endurance related effects as of yet. But I'm keeping my mind open to any changes outside of the norm. Haven't noticed anything, unfortunately.

Day 8:
Still two scoops. This HST thing is really killing my lifts. It may be great for some people, but I just don't think it's for me. I like training high set volume, and high frequency so only hitting each muscle group for two sets is really putting a damper on my pump. I've noticed that I'm dreading going to the gym lately...something I usually look forward to all day and just can't wait to step through the doors. I've been trying to keep grinding it out, but I'm not having fun and I don't feel like I'm making good progress...so what's the point?

I would rather train 5 or 6 days a week and leave the gym damnear crippled...even if that means only hitting a muscle group once in a week. I think after the struggle bus I was on today trying to make it through the session, I'm going to go back to a more traditional routine.

On the upside...I've experimented with Cista during HST and found nothing as far as benefits. Now I get a chance to mix up the routine and try something different to see if Cista has a different impact.

Day 9:
Two scoops around 3pm.

Tomorrow's going to be a lot of fun getting away from this HST thing. Haven't decided what I'm hitting yet, but my days will likely be split into traditional back/bis, chest/tris, squats, deads, shoulders & other accessory lifts ... + cardio.

Not every training system works for everybody. That's why it's always good to test out new ones and find what works for you. Keep at it man!
 
Day 10 -
Today, it all starts to get fun again. I decided to jump back into what I know works by blasting out a couple days of high intensity, short rest interval, lift days. Today was shoulders and a little core. I kept my intervals to 30 sec or less whenever possible.
What a difference today was over the HST program. I hadn’t realized just how much the squats and deads I’ve been doing at the start of my session had been zapping the energy out of the rest of my lifts. …until today.
I think I had a bit bigger head of steam coming in to the gym today than I usually do. Probably because I don’t dread the grueling lift I’m about to endure, but am looking forward to feeling swole again.

I have to believe the CistaFUSE played a part in my drive today too. While I still didn’t notice a remarkable difference between sessions prior to HST and today, I was able to keep my intervals shorter than normal and keep pressing on. No added pump, no added vascularity (although still early). Also no change in temperature or sweat.

One thing I have noticed…it makes my mouth reeeeaaaaally dry. I thought maybe it was just the Adderall…known to do that…but I cut that out of my PWO last week and still I’m going through a full Liter just during my lift! And I’m not one to drink much water while I’m working out. Also, I noticed it get worse when I switched to two scoops over just one.

Day 11 -
Mmmmmmm…back and bi day. Fun fun fun.
I blasted today out in about 45 min. again, keeping intervals as short as possible. I don’t notice any gains in the strength department…and increased size is still way too early to tell, only being 11 days in, and only the 5th day on two scoops. BUUUT…I have to say, I have noticed some endurance related benefits. Once is coincidence…but two days in a row I’ve found myself hardly walking away from the weights when I pick them up to jump right back into another set.

As for true cardio, I have been sprinkling that in 10 minutes at a time here and there. What have I noticed? Not what I expected.
I still get winded with the same amount of effort exerted before.
So, I guess it doesn’t have any endurance benefits after all…
BUT, where CistaFUSE shines is in the recovery department. As long as I don’t push myself over a certain point (take super-setting squats and deads for example). If I keep my exertion limited to just before I’m really getting out of breath, I’m ready to jump right back in.

SO…I guess that’s my opinion of my experience with Cista. Why do I say that like I’m wrapping things up? Well…
Today’s two scoops PWO cleaned out my little tub. That’s right…16 servings.

I know, right?

Because the scoop was soooo tiny it was hard to gauge how much was in there or how long it would last, but today was the last of it.
I’m thankful I got to try it, and I’m glad it was a long enough run (even if just barely) to see what it was about, and get a feel for how and when to use it, and what to expect.

My overall opinion of it?
I do feel like it worked, but it wasn’t a significant enough difference for me to say when it’s released it will be a staple. I got much better results (although completely different) from Laxo…so I feel my money is better spent on some of the other supps OL brings to the table. There are some that I’m sure it will work even better for, and if you’re lucky enough to get better results than I did, it could really open up some new doors for you.

Speaking of other OL products; my Dermastrength UL, strength UL, Epic UL, and Triumph should all be showing up before very long!!! I can’t wait.
