The New Product Release Thread

Interesting.
I love mango flavoring!
Does Xtend Mango have the typical BCAA taste like the sour/metallic/chemial taste ?

Scivation and BPI do probably the best job with flavoring. I maybe in the minority but I like there blue raspberry better than the mango.

If you like orange this stuff is GREAT !!

I have no problems finding orange given a simple google search ahawk01

Xtend Mango was my favorite Mango out there. Wish more people did make this flavor

I have a 90serv tub of xtend mango. Starting to get tired of it, the Supplement Superstore I went to didn't have blue raspberry, my ultimate favorite :(

I'm with you brother. That blue raspberry is heavenly.

Hahaha I don't hate it that much. If you have a half full tub of blue raz id be willing to trade. Maybe green apple too, that actually sounds really good!
I also liked pineapple, never tried strawberry kiwi as I have never been too excited about that flavor in any food, drink, or supplement.

Thanks for the feedback on Xtend. We're working on new flavors. We'll do at least 2-3 this year. One new one is coming out in the new version at the end of January (what bob is testing). I think the new flavor we're doing is our best flavor.

We are working on another project and made a killer new flavor. Hope is to match it and release it 2nd quarter with the new version of xtend.

Sounds good!

Agree 100%

It's not bad for the first month or two. Then it slowly turns to ass and eventually I am having to force it down... It's great for what it does and worth it. It overpowers preworkout IMO unless you grind it into a powder. Can't taste it in protein

This. I'm actually considering taking a tub of Fearn and grinding the whole thing into a powder, and then just mixing a scoop of that dry with my pre-workout powder and mixing that in water. It's far too annoying to grind every time.

Or you can swole them whole. Like put the granules in any liquid, i usually do it with a protein shake, and jug it so you don't have to taste it.

Started X-mas morning pushing a car in neutral in a parking lot for HIIT Sprints.
Good thing I was sipping on dat dere New Xtend
Recovery and Endurance off 2-3 workouts alone shows the benefits the new version can entail.

The whole granules in preworkout tastes terrible. In protein it's not bad.

Granules has no bad taste imo (mild nutty flavour) but the longlasting aftertaste is bothering me. Thats why I run enriched PA products (containing Mediator)

Wow, you're a blast from the past. I was one of the first testers of 1Fast400 transdermal

Tried pump hd? It surprised me. The doses seemed light, but it delivered.

I don't think I'll ever buy a BPI product, except maybe Best BCAA just as a no-guilt drink to sip on, but I gotta give them credit, every single one of their Pre/BCAA etc.(never tried their protein) samples I've ever had from them has tasted incredibly delicious. Their flavouring is some of the best I've ever had, it's a shame I can't say the same for their products as a whole.

We are cut from a different cloth gents. SL granules have a delicious nutty flavor; would never crush them and miss out on the taste experience.

To me they are the caviar of gainzville, and I savor every last little bead

What does PA even do for you guys? I'm still holding out on that, ArA and DAA, but I have them on a list to try along with Magnitropin(-Epi)

Robert Irvine’s FIT Crunch Birthday Cake Review:

First of all the bars are huge (90g Serving) compared to most that are around 60g in size. Each bar packs almost 400 calories (16g Fat, 30g Protein, 27g Carbs). The bar on the outside has a vanilla layer with a pink glaze going across it. After a few bites I found this very similar to Combat Crunch's birthday cake bar in flavor. For some reason there is a slight acidic lemon after taste to the bar. You get a dominant vanilla flavoring but no dense frosting or cake aftertaste like found in the Oh Yeah Birthday Cake Bar's. Those bars (Oh Yeah) have a very pure tasting vanilla cake and a bunch of birthday cake sprinkles to enhance the flavor. One of the major benefits to the FitCrunch bar is the texture of the bar. The inside below the vanilla layering resembles that of a cookie. It finds a happy medium between a mission 1 bar (very soft) and Quest bar (on the harder end of protein bars). The texture works great for a layered protein bar (much softer than a Quest Pumpkin Pie bar), and has a good taste. The high calories may scare some away from trying this flavor, but for that kcal allotment I expected more in the flavor department of a true birthday cake and slight lemon aftertaste. Not to mention these may retail around 3.50$/Bar which may scare more people away.

My Birthday Cake Rankings:
1) Oh Yeah Birthday Cake
2) FitCrunch Birthday Cake
3) Combat Crunch Birthday Cake

Can't speak for pa as I haven't tried it yet but ara and magnitropin (-epi is only a small portion of the product too, not even the main IMO) are both top 5 supps for me

Never tried Magnitropin but ArA beats out ABE for sure. Gonna try BMP and see how it compares.

For me: makes me hungry and gives me gainz... Much better than DAA. Can't compare to Ara, it ruins my GI.
For cost / benefits, it is just a no brainer for me. Really effective. It has some nice studies on it too. Check them out. If you search for phosphatidic acid here, you will find huge threads and people really loving it.

USP Labs Modern Pre Review

Taste

Fruit Punch – Modern Pre fruit punch reminds me of Modern BCAA. USP Labs has a great basic fruit punch flavor that gives you a great flavor, and no artificial aftertaste. A middle road Fruit Punch that gives you a great amount of punch upon first sip and can be a very refreshing beverage to be sipped on pre-workout. Some people like to chug pre-workouts, this does not need to be slammed back as it is refreshing.

Mixability

No problems when mixed in various liquid amounts. The bottle suggests 6-8oz of cold water, but I found that even upward to 12oz of water did not impact the flavor. I prefer to dilute the beverage a bit.

Formula

Invalid Link Removed

Citrulline 4-8g (Aid Pump/Lactic Acid build up during training)
Betaine 1.25-2.5g (Performance/Endurance)
Creatine 1.5-3g (Performance/Strength/Endurance)
Beta Alanine 1-2g (Aid Performance/Endurance)
Caffeine 175-350mg (Stimulant)
Cognizin 125-250mg (Nootropic)
3-6g of Carb10 (Quick Digeesting Carb)

At 1 scoop it will be under dosed in many aspects, when taken upward to 2 scoops you get a full dose of Citrulline, Betaine, Creatine. Caffeine may be strong for some at 350mg, but there are exceptional stim junkies out there that require that much to get a buzz. The huge addition here in modern pre is the upgraded non-prop label.

Cost

On the IC Deal you got this for 20$ with samples and a barbell T-Shirt. Nearly hard to pass up price per serving for a good pre-workout. That is very cost effective compared to others on the pre-workout market. Now that the IC is done it retails around 30$ for 30/15 Servings (1/2 Scoops).

Workout Reaction

Tried this in 2 fashion Fed and Fasted

Fasted
Upon waking 1 scoop of Modern Pre, 175mg of caffeine is a little under my sweet spot. Right away I felt the caffeine come onward in a totally fasted state. What I did notice was how fast the nootropics and focus aspect took over. The Cognitive function was instant and that is key for a good workout and staying focused. After a few warm-up sets and a few working sets on back I start to feel the Citrulline and pump kick in. The BA/Betaine recovery factors were pretty minimal throughout the workout, but the CM features were more pronounced in a larger dose. Since most items are under dosed at 1 scoop its hard to really give them good feedback due to not being in an adequate dose.

Fed
I decided to jump to 1.5 servings for a few reasons. One being fed the stim may not hit as hard, and two this gives the product at a more reasonable dosage. Kicking up the CM/BA/Betaine and Creatine may aid a bit more than the regular 1 scoop. Energy/Focus wise this was still strong, nothing overpowering, and nothing that made me jitter throughout the workout. While my focus and energy never dropped, I still did not see much as far as recovery/endurance stands. Yes the pump was pretty decent on this with a strong CM dose, a small addition of Agmatine/glycerol would make this a complete pre-workout for the pump category.

I would imagine at 2 scoops this would be pretty potent. My stim tolerance is not that strong so it may blow me out of the water. Which is one of the resaons I would not want to venture that route. Not to mention I could possibly crash hard from the caffeine dose. Overall this is a good pre-workout, a big step up with the open label, and much improved on proper dosing of ingredients at 2 scoops.

So just increased hunger then? I need no help in that department fortunately hahaha.
