Why is it that the mentally incapable, for the most part, steer towards the Republican Party? This might offend some, but it's very true. Liberals tend to be highly educated intellectuals, while a heavy portion of Republicans tend to be more simple minded, less educated individuals, or born into wealth.
 
Why do so many liberals claim to be open minded, but are actually the most narrow minded people ever? Or is it that they are only open minded if you agree with them?
And why do liberals seem to be such cry babies who can't take care of themselves? Another one that I don't get.

Both sides have idiots...this dude Mark Dice gets the liberal Obama people all the time on the street with petitions, some of it is really funny.

Anyways, look how many people voted for Obama, none of them are republicans so that kinda voids your statement.

You can then counter with how many people voted for Bush before Obama.

So again, idiots are found in all kinds. Liberal and Republican type people also have many highly intelligent people. Intelligence can be measured in many different ways too its very vague.

They can call them in if needed though. The people on the force over there who can use firepower, have much higher training. (Swat, Armed Response Vehicles, etc). They get by fine with a plethora of non-lethal weapons, meant to incapacitate.

A knife is a weapon. A gunshot to the leg doesn't guarantee their safety. Maybe try not charging at a cop with a knife? That's pretty much asking to die. And psychology is a pseudo science, so mental illness is irrelevant.

A shot to the leg sure as hell is better than 12 shots from multiple trigger happy cops.

Cops in the US shoot to kill and ask questions later. It's laziness is what it is, and fear, mixed with the fact that half the police force here shouldn't be cops due to anger issues, etc. Cops aren't vetted properly in the states. Any a$$hole can be one.

I must own firearms and do Taikwando to understand that the US has horrible statistics for unjustified killings and police brutality compared to THE REST OF THE "FREE" WORLD.

Its a tough position being a cop but I think the media generally blows this out of proportion. We have a big police force and certainly you will have a bunch of bad cops in the bunch but most are professional and good people.

The system of course can always improve especially with the training. Of course there is always corruption and due process at some times may be biased geared towards cops but really here in the US cops are pretty good. I do disagree with a good portion of their job descriptions but I blame the policy makers for that. Then comes the installation of the police state, that is the bigger issue.

I have family who are officers and I am by no means anti-police. I strongly support our military and police. But statistics can't be ignored. The U.S. does have a problem.

You have to consider the US also has a problem of screwed up minions running around everywhere who put themselves in a bad position to begin with. For example, I can walk around the streets of Beijing and Shanghai and feel relatively safe, but many parts around me in NY its totally opposite. There is a culture issue here. People in other countries may have a more polite society so its not really totally fair to have conclusive judgment based on some cop stats.

Also, there is bad policy such as the war on drugs, income tax, etc...that forces police into positions they shouldnt be in the first place.
