Leucine Peptides?

Been reading allot of John Kiefer articles and the guy is big on adding leucine peptides to protein shakes. Just wondering if anyone on here adheres to that practice and what type of benefit they are experiencing. Thx guys!

Leucine added in pwo shakes..Maybe som colostrom would deffo get the muscles working...

Thanks, I see that on their label. Happen to know the amount included per serving?

They don't say but Coop said in an old thread that they include enough to make sure you are getting the proper amount of Leucine needed to stimulate mTOR(don't know if this is the right phrasing). I think 5g of Leucine total but again I'm paraphrasing.

Well if it's a full 5g serving that makes it an awesome value. Already love the PES line, just enhanced my respect for this company

I don't know this for sure though so keep that in mind. You can search up the old Select thread and see if you can find more than me. I know the Leucine isn't counted towards the protein count though, and the peptides were added for the purpose I posted above. Most Protein powder scoops have what like 2.5g Leucine per serving? With the peptides you should be at least getting 3-4g but I also hope it's the full 5. I know Select was also formulated to be a 1 scoop has everything you need product as well. Hope any of this helped.

Lol I'm apparently the "PES cheerleader", so I'm a known PES fan, but yeah I love it. Select is my favorite protein by far in terms of cost/quality/taste/lactose intolerant friendly/etc. Even on pure taste alone though, it's up there with the legends UMP and XF 2.0.

Absolutely worth a 7 serving sample tub at the very least. If you try it and don't like it, you can come to Toronto and throw a handful of the powder in my face in disgust as compensation.

It wont be. Itl be an extra to get the total content per tub to the optimal mark - including the leucine already present in the whey.

An nice extra

It's a prop blend, and those Glanbia peptides are expensive as heck (you can Google them at e-tail - something like $85 for 500 grams). Even in bulk to a mfg, I wouldn't count on a lot of them per scoop. Layne Norton says ~3g (or .05g/Kg if you want to get nerdy) of regular old Leucine is enough for maximal MPS, 8g didn't do any better. My guess would be 500mg-750mg of peptides. I love Select at Insider pricing, but I don't get too jazzed that it has peptides.

I remember in that thread Coop was saying they got such a great deal on the peptides that it was more cost effective to put those in rather than regular L-Leucine.
