Genetic potential

Interesting question. Some people say you need to reach your genetic potential before jumping on a cycle. And you also hear that you cannot keep your gains from a cycle long term if you get off.

This made me wonder something. What if you use cycles before reaching your genetic potential naturally. Which would just speed up the process. Could you keep those gains because your body can naturally keep up with the test needed to naturally keep the muscle?

If that makes sense.

Yes, in theory you would keep those gains, provided that your diet and training are good.

When you cycle before reaching your natural peak, you possibly lower that natural peak as well. Your body also may become dependant on anabolics to build muscle.

what is the reasoning for your natural peak to go down after use of gear?

Also would light oral cycles consisting of 1 or 2 compounds 6-8 weeks have the same effect as something like 1g test+deca+dbol etc ran in a 12-16 week cycle in terms of lowering your genetic potential and needing anabolics to build muscle?

Given a situation where you were past your genetical potential and had to hop off anabolics for quite some time, your body would return to its natural peak in about a year or two. The only way to maintain all that mass and build more is to continue cycling.

Now in regards to lowering your genetic potential, it is a possibility it will be "lowered" if you cycled before ever reaching that peak. You're not giving your body enough time to adjust and accommodate for all that new muscle tissue. Also coming off you will eventually return to baseline and not even your genetic peak...

Build a solid base then cycle.

EDIT: The answer to your question can be deduced from this. From experience, injectable cycles provide longer lasting gains.
