Matts Log - Journey to 1000 total and a good physique.

Alright - so far so good. Woke up this morning at about 170. Trying to keep the weight gain very slow to ensure I don't get crazy bulky. Currently 2 weeks into both Trest and Sdmz3.0 and about a week and a half into tvar. Results have been good so far as far as pumps and strength go.

My lifts pre cycle were
Bench 205x6
Deadlift 315x2
Squat 275x3
Press 135x1

Currently have gotten up to
Bench 225x2
Deadlift 315x5 and got an easy 335x1 - pretty impressed by this so far.
Squat 295x3
Press 145x1

Today went well - went heavy on squats and bench

Squat 45x15, 135x5, 185x4, 225x3, 275x2, 315x1, 275x2, 225x3, 185x6x3
Bench, 135x5, 185x3, 225x1, 225x2, 185x8x2

Then followed with (all exercises done for 10-12 reps for 2-3 sets)
Incline Bench 135#
Machine Flys 115#
Standing DB Press 35#s
Cable Rows 100#
Pulldowns 115#
Pushdowns 70#
BB Curl 40#

Was feeling pretty slack tonight - lifts went well but it is tough getting the whole full body workout in - may hit some stuff lightly tomorrow depending on how I feel.

Ya full body workouts take alot out of you. When i train this way i always listen to my body and don't train every other day all the time when im not feeling up to it. Its a balancing act but you can see really fast results training this way if you get it right. Looking good bro

For sure. I have been getting lots of rest and have been able to keep up with the training which is awesome. I just try to keep the volume lowish. Have definitely been getting good results though.
 
Quick workout tonight - just did back and deadlifts

Deadlifts was 135x5, 185x4, 225x3, 275x2, 315x1, 335x2 - still rocking the PRs which is great - feeling really antsy the past few days - getting stuck in the mental battle of wanting to up my dosages - results are good - but doesn't feel quite at that "sweet spot" yet - but I could just be being greedy.

After deads I did BB rows for 155x12, Cable Rows for 110x12 and Chinups for 2 sets of AMRAP

Weight is staying roughly the same - I had a few high carb days so I cut back a little for 2 days. Other than that things are going well - I'm gonna give it another week or so and then think about upping either SDMZ3.0 or Trest.

Lol it can take some time. You gotta crop pictures. Lol that is the one good thing my log - there's a lot of damn fine pics. Driven is pretty good at it ;) and you def need to get IG if anything for the easy hot chick pics.

I can definitely notice I'm a little leaner as well as bit more full. My weight is staying quite consistent. I was 169.2 this morning and I'm feeling pretty starved - I have probably been in a caloric deficit for the past 2-3 days, unintentionally - but just because my sleep has been really off and I'm trying to get myself turned around.

Sides I have noticed: Increased libido, increased aggression, insomnia, strength, pumps of all kinds (getting some back pumps occasionally - ordered some taurine).

So far my lifts are going great. It's no issue for me to bench 225x2, I'm Squating 315x1 pretty easily and put up 335x2 quite easy on deadlifts.

Now that my sleep is getting fixed up my days should be a bit more routine and I'm going to get back to eating in a decent surplus (+200-300)

I know right. I'm pretty excited. It's weird though the way my abs show - my friend who competes was telling me how he thinks I'd have a crazy midsection if I got all fixed up.

Alright - so - update from last week

I was really busy the past week and a half trying to figure out my life for next year - looking into taking some online courses to upgrade my GPA so I have a hope in hell of getting into a Masters of Physiotherapy. I fell off the wagon a little bit with my diet - not in any huge way - but just not being entirely accurate - I don't know if its because I'm eating too many shakes or its all the oral drugs I'm taking but my gut has just felt a bit messed up the past week or so - like I'm frequently a bit queezy in my tummy. It caused me to not eat that much - so my weight took a bit of a dip and went down to about 168 - but the past few days I've been eating through it and weight is back up to about 171 - it seems to be hovering around there - and I'm okay with that - I'm not looking to be adding a couple pounds every week. Doing my best to put my numbers up and trying to lose fat and gain muscle.

So far so good - on my squat I'm consistently hitting 315 - I want to hit it for 2 soon. I hit 225x4 on bench and am consistently hitting 335 on my deadlift. I did 365x1 with bands and it felt good - my friend pushed me to try for 405 - but I couldn't do it - rightly so as its a pretty big jump from my unbanded 335. I was feeling a little antsy with my training - I have been training so much and meeting so many people at the gym my workouts were getting very interrupted with conversation and I wasn't getting in all the exercises I want nor the overall volume because of it. So I have to try and shut up more and train hard - yesterdays workout was really good. I did a ****load of volume -

Deadlifts 135x6, 185x5, 225x4, 275x3, 315(bands)x6, 365(Bands)x1
BB Rows 135x12, 155x12, 175x6
Bench 135x12, 185x5, 185x4, 225x2 (chest was a bit sore from last workout)
Chinups 50lbsx15
DB Curls 20x15x2
Squats 135x12, 225x5x4, 135x10
Standing BB Press 65x12x5
Tricep Extensions 70x12x4
Face Pulls 70x15x2
BB Curls 65x10x2

My back doesn't feel too bad so I may go in later today with the girlfriend and do back/arms/shoulders just to get a good pump, maybe some stretching and cardio as well.

Also took advantage of the great black friday deals, picked up some wireless bluetooth over ear headphones, a fitbit surge, and an atlas wearable - I'm hoping to monitor myself a bit more and having some headphones to block out distraction will be really nice!
 
Always keep your headphones on and if you make eye contact with anyone give them a polite nod and turn away - if ears are exposed or you smile convo is gonna happen w someone. Easily the toughest part of training at a commercial gym is number of people that don't care about progress - yours or theirs. Believe me, it would often cost me 20-30 min a day when I trained at one. That's 1.5-2 HOURS a week I can't ever get back.

Also, stop testing your maxes and TRAIN if you wanna increase them. Singles don't build, they test and induce fatigue - they are for setting up a peak or flat out max attempts. If you wanna squat 315x2, build up to it w hard sub maximal volume.

One of the biggest mistakes I made when I started cycling was using the drugs to dictate my strength level. I'd just cycle and test and hope I was stronger. If you're gunning for particular numbers you need a plan (a thought out programmed progression) that you combine with the drugs to elicit a desirable outcome.

Same could be said for achieving a physique goal - you have a structured diet and training protocol and utilize the hormones to make it all come together. I would just take sh*t and hope it changed my physique positively lol

This is why I'm glad you're here - always good solid advice - I've felt like that lately actually - too many reps of 1-3 and not enough going higher. I typically always work down - and just do a couple sets in the 1-3 range just to keep my body used to being under heavy weight - but I'll reel it back for a bit as I do feel I've been doing a bit too many low reps

Lol I know - I actually tried to train with my sweater on lastnight and my hood up but I just got so damn hot lol.

Lol I'm the same way. I knew I needed to do my speed pulls every 30-45 sec last night so I kept my earbuds in and a beanie on and ignored everyone or I knew I'd botch the training effect.

I'm a social butterfly too so I know the feels
 
Lol so true - its tough - see - for the first bit I tried to meet all the big guys in my gym - gotta get them knowledge gains =P but now I'm like damn - let me train! Well - I say that - but I am a too much of a social butterfly - I'll try and hold myself a bit more accountable this week =D time to see if the woman wants to go to the gym!

Side Laterals 20x12x4

Had a really nice pump from this without really taxing myself all that much - came home and rocked a nice big nutella shake with 3 scoops of protein and some biscuit cookies =P #gains
