Yeah that's a good point, but the discourse here could also show new members 1. the healthy debates on AM and 2. that AM isn't all about elitism.

If they are that sensitive that they changed their mind after reading this thread and rather not be healthy because of an internet forum, then I am sorry. What about douchebags in the gym thread?

I don't think that's the point. The point would be they changed their mind because of this thread and this forum.

If they are that sensitive that they changed their mind after reading this thread and rather not be healthy because of an internet forum, then I am not sorry. If they are that sensitive, then they will never be able to endure the hardship (diet & training) of getting in shape as its not easy. Will they quit if there trainer loudly encourages them to push for another rep? Or would they quit because their trainer "yelled" at them.

What about douchebags in the gym thread? what about that thread? There is more negativity there.

I think that people need to lighten up just a little and give the OP some credit and listen to what he is saying. He admits he made a mistake, owned up to it, corrected it, and he has learned from it. I came down on him hard too, so I get it. But he didn't act ignorant of the opinions presented and actually learned from this himself it seems......it's a good example, in my eyes, of someone taking some pretty harsh criticism and dealing with it in a positive way. It may not have educational value from an obvious perspective, but this is a tough skill to learn, and a skill that I think lifting iron helps to teach also.
