Bodybuilding.com has a major conflict of interest with the fake reviews on their site, and are siding with the brands at the expense of their customers. Our in-depth analysis clearly demonstrated that the ratings on Bodybuilding.com may not be genuine, and should not be a consideration when making purchase decisions.

Yes, we did earlier this year, but never actually did an in-depth analysis on existing reviews. The previous article looked at an email that was allegedly sent from an RSP rep to the RSP Team which instructed everyone to write 10/10 reviews on their products on Bodybuilding.com. We didn’t have any idea if those reviews actually made it through - until now.

Well then.... I thought there were some rules in place for this.

1. Reps were not allowed to review their own products in the BB store.

2. You weren't supposed to ask for a specific rating during a review.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

It seems kinda messed to attack one brand over others as well. It would have been nice to know what other brands looked liked in comparison. They could have picked the worst one they found and wrote the article.

What are your thoughts?

Interesting. So why let it continue? I am completely open and honest in my reviews. If something doesn't taste good I state it. If I don't feel something has worked I again state it. Even as a rep. I know that most of us are honest and value our integrity over brand image.

because it goes to show unethical companies are for a review or to try and boost their ratings. Why be unethical? just like how people spike their products. why do it in the first place?

There is nothing wrong with it and I agree.

They allow it because they simply are so large and have so much traffic, they don't have the staff to go through everything.

That might be the case. They have so much money flowing over there. They should implement like a text SMS verification to post a review so they can spot multiple fake accounts.

Its almost impossible to stop unless you make it your sole effort to stop it. Its pretty easy to get around most systems. Their website is probably the last resource they invest in. It simply is not on their list of priorities.

Hire the dude who wrote the article. :lol:

I put more stock in the lower ratings. I noticed a one star pop up. The next day 10/10 reviews until the one star was off the front page.

Sadly in the article it was confirmed that so many dummy cells provide reviews, heck even multiple reviews without so much as a word, idea, or justification. With even simple sample sizes I don't think anyone can confirm true efficiency of a product. I will say knowing a coworker who has ordered based on that reviewing system and gotten burned by RSP or whoever they are they are terrible. I mean a 9/10 BCAA tasted like straight ASS. For the first time in my life I honestly spit it back into the shaker, even tried it again later with ice and nothing. BB just got caught with their pants down IMO as they dont require reviewers to be verified users or at least members. I mean how many reviews have we seen 10/10 with nothing else with it.....Tells me absolutely nothing.

I honestly havent used them yet this year due to such suspicions and shame it came out to be true. They will have to change something and auditing their reviews needs to be one
