Gonna say it again, damn I miss the 90's. Thats by far my favorite hip hop era.

Leno, Prince Hamed, Mike Tyson during the bad, bad years, no cameras on every street corner and in everybodys pocket, no facebook....Playstation 1 was amazing, tripping out on Y2K, being young and not giving a crap what people think about you, etc...

Best of all in the 90's people didnt walk on the street, drive, and worst of all train in the gym zombified by the smart phone! At sporting events people would actually watch the game and not text and so on. Far less political correctness too.

Everything you said, plus I went to college in the 90's. Definitely were my glory years!

The mistake is equating good times with Clinton, and therefore declaring he was a great president and we should have him back. Or his lying wife. Or socialist Bernie as president. The 2 aren't related and explain why stupid people vote and can't figure out why we have what we have.

Watch Kimmel's man on the street videos, or Jesse Waters do his on the street interviews. People are raging morons.

I call bullsh1t...in the 70's we had the best music of all time, great cars, AND ALI-FRAZIER!!!!

THE 70'S WAS ORIGINAL....EVERYTHING SINCE THEN IS JUST A CHEAP IMMITATION!!!

I know I've already explained why I like Bill in here, really didn't feel like re-explaining myself ,but the man simply got **** done. That much is fact.

To think I like him because the 90's were a great/fun time is pretty silly.

Yeah, back in 79 when I was 2 I could see the end of the the all original era....I was so sad gave mom and pops hell crying on new years eve, never wanted to look forward lol

not to mention he made rush Limbaugh's career, lol. it was a lot of fun hearing stories about secret service restraining Hillary when she would throw things at bill. plus I got lots of entertainment value out of Hillary's stand by your man interviews when bill would get busted, it really made me laugh seeing Hillary squirm like that....bill really got sh1t done, when bill wasn't knee deep in the sh1t, lol.

Congress got stuff done. Balanced budget surplus, welfare reform. He signed off on it. You won't get that again with the socialists running this time around.

Now its just illegal executive orders running wild and seeking war approvals from the United Nations illegally bypassing our elected officials in congress. Its crazy.

If Sanders gets in, I'd be pretty happy, but it's pretty doubtful that will happen unfortunately.

The GOP doesn't really have any good contenders again this time around imo. The party needs to fix things up internally.

Wealth redistribution on a national level is the end of success. Look at what Bernie has said and his tax plan.

No thank you

Here's Bernie's Tax Plan right here. Let's pick it apart, because so far it looks pretty damn amazing (and fair) to me.

I'm also speaking as a person who earns over 6 figures and works in the financial sector in NYC, yet I still fully support Bernie. He's by far been the most transparent, vocal, honest candidate who speaks freely, bluntly and honestly.

Its a pretty general press release without much details at all. Just common talking points on "lets gets the big guys" stuff, you hear this all the time. Lets make it less complicated, fair...etc, reminds me of Obama.

There is no such thing as a "fair" income tax, and Bernie does support income tax being a socialist and forcing people to buy into government services against peoples will. Income tax of any kind is tyranny and gives the government the power to destroy people.

He might be honest and true to his beliefs but doesnt mean people will support his policies.

Are you an anarchist? Honest question. We will never live in a world without a federal government. There will always be tax.

Just to get this straight, you are all for avoiding taxes by any means possible? So are you for large corporations using loopholes to avoid paying their share, thus cheating basically everyone except for the richest people on top?

Honestly though, I don't think it's possible to debate real world politics with an anarchist (or an anti-nationalist such as yourself) as you will likely disagree with all of our current options. I kind of get where you are coming from, but that's not a very practical way to live though man, and in my opinion, it's very un-American. You're basically wanting to break up the federal government and have local (state governments) take over for themselves. We would then be broken as a nation and become something akin to the EU. Sounds very anti-nationalist to me, and un-American. Problem is, we don't live in an idealist's world.

No not an anarchist at all, thats a crazy accusation...I do want a federal government, but not one that infringes on every-bodies rights. There wasnt always income tax, it was once considered radical by almost all Americans, and these days many people still find it radical to rape and pillage the fruits of peoples labor.

Im for avoiding all income taxes, repealing the 16th Amendment and abolishing the IRS, productive behavior should not be punished by any means. Its not governments duty to dictate how much the rewards of prosperity should be distributed. Good behavior should not be punished.

Repeal the 16th Amendment and there would not be income tax loopholes, so its nothing to worry about. No more IRS taking peoples money at gunpoint destroying the average person's lives either and punishing people for not being able to afford health insurance.

As I said, Im not an anarchist at all, I dunno where that comes from. I love freedom and liberty. Im a firm believer in the United States Constitution and in the Bill of Rights. Governments primary role is to protect our freedoms, not dismantle it...just follow the Constitution. The USA is a Republic not a Democracy.

It came from you saying you wish the federal government would dissolve and let local governments take over?(and then stating that income tax shouldn't exist)

Or maybe that came from someone else? I'm getting confused now, I totally thought it was you who wrote that about local governments.

Dude...just because we have different idea's and goverment and economic policy doesnt mean any of us are Anti-American, anarchists or just crazy, relax...we can debate policy and role of government and be fierce about it but no reason to be labeling people things like that.

Yes, the Federal Government is too massive and it need to take a back seat and let the states run the way they were designed as mini-countries. This gives people options and there can be healthy competition within the country as a whole. It gives people choices instead of a once size fits all system. This is how America was designed, a small central goverment with state powers.

The income tax was only adopted in 1913, this country was doing amazing before hand with infrastructure and military without it.

Ill just say...I do exaggerate and kid at times when Im venting, I like to have fun here especially with the people that know me, but please be sure we are on the same page when it comes to loving America and having people prosper :)

NYC-the average age of a case management client is 85. their average incomes range from only $12,000-$20,000-- too high to be eligible for Medicaid, but clearly too low to privately pay for care...[CSCS]2012 these people need more tax dollars to be used to help them, this is shameful

now, as far as taxes go...46 million americans live in poverty....15 percent of all americans are on food stamps.

we don't need higher taxes we need a livable wage!!! how can anyone argue against a higher minimum wage, if you pay people enough to get off welfare you can afford to pay a little more for your BIG MAC-DUH!!!!

I see where you're coming from now. But yeah, we've come a long way since 1913. What worked then will not work now. Very different industry, infrastructure, population level, etc, etc. It was a completely different country in general. A totally different time from a long past era.

This will never happen, but if the US can adopt a similar model to that of European countries, we'd all have a higher standard of living and much higher quality of life.

Yup....100% accurate...thats why Im for restoration of the past with modern characteristics.

Isnt Europe as a whole in big trouble? Some countries such as UK, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands (and much more) for example have a higher unemployment rate than the USA. Also, their social programs last I heard are starting to take a heavy strain...these programs costs money and at one point or another you need more money to pay for it. We can go on and on...lets not be like Europe, we can do much better especially if you vote for me!

Plus...isnt the USA even with all our issues where all the best overall innovation from medicine to technology come from? How much does Europe innovate, and what incentives do the best people have to go there? I mean really, we have a crap load of issues, but Europe in some places is a complete disaster such as Spain and Greece.

Greece may get kicked out of the union, who knows, looking that way though.

I guess I am speaking about my experience with Germany. Wonderful place.

A ton of the world's innovation in medicine and tech comes out of Israel surprisingly. I think ESA is leading the world where it comes to their Space program. I just feel like living in the US is a greater struggle than in other places, and our infrastructure is horrible in comparison to that of European countries (again, using Germany as an example, but then again, they are perfectionists lol)

If we can eventually pull back from funding all of these wars, we would have so much more money to invest in our crumbling infrastructure, including some high-speed railways around the country.

This country is going to dumps so bad we actually built a bridge under another bridge just to catch debri from falling onto the highway below in PA.

Gotta say, ROLF!!!!

Well, at least once the whole country legalizes marijuana for recreational use, it'll have a lot more cash to work with! Colorado has been far more successful than ever hoped for. It was also perfectly legal back in 1913! But then again, this involves taxing people.

That my man we now have something 100% in common....we cant afford to borrow money from China any more to fund the wars that have no end to them.

Speaking of China...just got back from there last week...was zipping around high speed rail at 190 MPH from Beijing to Shanghai, ultra smooth....here we have Metro-North, the thing is a bag of barf. Absolutely embarrassing but still would rather live here than there.

I've yet to visit China. There's a mountain with a Taoist temple and an incredibly difficult path leading up to it that I want to visit and climb sometime. Can't remember the name offhand.

You're from NY? As soon as you said Metro-North, I figured you were.

I would hope so....feel less hope when just the other day these Native Americans in Nevada I believe legalized low grad weed on their ranch and then get raided by the Fed.

Now your talking sales tax my friend....thats more in lines of consumption tax. Your not reaping the fruits of peoples labor, people are paying it by choice for a product they arent forced to purchase. Its no where near as demeaning as not having a right to be alive and keeping what you work hard for. All you need after that is a government that allocates the sales tax for the benefit of the people such as infrastructure, military or some other things.

Yup...just a little bit up north not far at all. NYC is my home city, my home sports teams, my home culture....never lived there but I love NYC and go there all my life.

I havent been to the Taoist temple your talking about, but have been to the oldest and biggest Taoist temple in China located in Beijing. No mountains to climb though so may not be your priority.

I have a confession to make. I'm actually not American. I'm Canadian, and have been working in NYC for 10 yrs now. I plan on getting my citizenship at some point soon though. I feel like this is truly my home.

Here is the path & temple I was talking about. I plan to climb this with my goPro one day! Would be so amazing.

I'm sure the path has become far safer as this is turning into a big tourist attraction now.

10 years to late, but welcome to America! lol...Being your here that long, if you wanna be American then your American. If you want official status my best of congrats to you when and if that time comes!

Thats weird...Buddha's are for Buddhism, that last photo on that site must be for another temple located there thats separate or the Communists mixed everything up to make it a museum piece. Taoism will have statues of many great masters though, but those were Buddhas, unless the Taoists there welcomed buddhism there in the past I dunno for sure. Maybe who put the website together mixed up Buddhism and called it a Taoist Temple??

Anyways, it looks really beautiful there, a total paradise. Just make sure if you go there be careful where you eat. Try to avoid street food or alleyway restaurants. Getting sick while on vacation sucks. I went to the Great Wall back in 05 with food poisoning, chronic diarrhea and severe dehydration. Spend 10 minutes on it, when asked if I wanna hike up to the top I said, nah, I just wanna go take a crap. Oh...always have little napkin packs on you, there in most cases are no toilet paper. I found that out the first day I started my diarrhea in a public restroom in the Forbidden City, I was not warned about the paper and was stuck pulling money out of my wallet to wipe....true story! Fortunately I had alot of smaller change on me.

Thanks man. Appreciated. I need to have a chat with my company soon about starting the process.

Yeah I'm not sure if that first and last photo are legit. I've seen that hotel before and I'm fairly certain it's not in China. The rest of those photos from the path are real though. Definitely on my bucket list. My uncle also lives in Japan, so it would be a great trip if I could make both stops.

ROLF!!!! This post gets an blown up encore...I cant believe what I saw when I saw that on 60 minutes, and in Pittburgh!...Invalid Link Removed

Andy Herrmann: One of these arch bridges actually has a structure built under it to catch falling deck. See that structure underneath it? They actually built that to catch any of the falling concrete so it wouldn't hit traffic underneath it.

Steve Kroft: That's amazing.

Nice job Obama!

Fixing this country's infrastructure is going to take about half a century! And that's IF focused on doing so lol

Have you driven on the Tappan Zee Bridge lately? Damn that thing was supposed to collapse some 20 years ago already. The thing is a absolute wreck now that they arent really fixing it much anymore with the new bridge popping up.

Its good they are popping up the bridge...people are gonna get hit when the toll jumps from $5.50 to $14 (and they say may go up to $22-$24 at some point) but sure beats falling into the river.

After moving to NYC, I actually haven't driven much at all! Don't think I've been on that bridge since around '09. That's a pretty hefty toll...

What happened to the trillion dollar stimulus already spent on fixing the roads and bridges with shovel ready jobs? That's right, it was given back to campaign donors for the democrats.
